Unlike other enclosures that I have used in the past, as I inserted the drive, it basically auto-snapped-in to the connection within. In some enclosures, you are required to maneuver the drive until it snaps in. Also, this product has a powerful fan, which increases the life of the drive. Many enclosures do not even come with a fan. The item works perfectly.

Comment:
I am 60 years old Great Aunt, my motherboard went on my PC, as usual, when it was not backed up, I saved ALL my files and OS with this enclosure. I have retreived all the files I needed, and I'd like to use some of my old programs, I've read I can use a boot manager to boot from this HD also, basically I still have my old PC. I haven't done this yet but plan on it. This enclosure was a God sent. I also use the rest of the room on the HD as storage. Best of 2 worlds. If I can do this anyone can. Thakns, J J

This enclosure might not be the best out there, but for the money it can't be beat. Installed the drive, Formatted it, added a drive letter and I was ready to go. I really like the built in fan, I have other drive enclosures and they tend to run very hot. Heat is a hard drive killer. This stays very cool. Installed perfectly in Windows 7. Another great product from Tiger.

May not be the most expensive but it does what it is supposed to do and that's to keep your hard drive cool. I noticed my sata drive which is my backup drive was running hot either inside the pc case or outside thru a wired connection.I knew I needed a fan and this was the perfect choice.Using a software program to monitor temp it's running cooler now so the fan does make a difference.

I received this and it was sealed with plastic, but when I opened it, I could tell that it had previously been used. The face and inside were heavily scratched. The product was made cheaply and doesn't seem like it would protect the harddrive very well if it were to get bumped. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I returned it the next day and ordered a different product to avoid the same poor experience.
