Environmentally responsible
Reduce your energy use. Instant-on Technology in HP LaserJet devices provides up to 50 percent energy savings over traditional fusing while providing a first-page-out in seconds. HP estimates that Instant-on Technology has reduced emissions by 5.25 million tons of CO2 to date?the equivalent of removing 1.1 million cars from the road for one year.
Cut paper consumption and save money with manual two-sided printing. Save even more paper with N-up printing, which allows you to place multiple document pages on a single printed page.
Recycle cartridges through HP Planet Partners. This industry-leading program gives companies around the world an easy and environmentally conscious way to return hardware and print supplies for recycling after use.
We've used this printer for over a year and it has been a great workhorse for us. HP makes some of the best printers on the market but if you are a highish-volume user I would not recommend this particular printer. We print 3000-5000 pages per month on this printer BUT the only toner cartridge that fits it is rated only for 2500 pages. We didn't realize when we bought it that the high-capacity "C505X" cartridge will not fit the printer even though the printer is designed to accept the "C505A" cartridge. If you print a lot the cost of printing is significantly higher than say the HP Laserjet P2055 printer, which accepts the higher-capacity toner cartridge. The other annoying thing is that the standard page tray jams very easily if you even slightly overfill it, not a biggie but with all the pages we print the less often we have to fill the tray the better.
