Cons: First mouse i had to RMA 2 months into use

Pros: Large mouse designSmooth rubber feeling coatinglots of buttonsfat scroll wheelfully customizable
Comment:
Honestly this is now the best mouse i have ever owned...and ive had a lot. The first mouse died on me unexpectedly but was RMA'd within a week. Once you figure out how to program this mouse it's very easy, and quick. I'm unsure why their are negative reviews here.

Cons: -Mouse software is tricky to use

Pros: -Great Design-Hard to press side buttons-Heavy-Sturdy Chassis
Comment:
First of all, I'm not sure I understand why this mouse has had such bad reviews by buyers! :(So lets get into it.This is a great overall mouse. Has a really nice Design/Look, all on a very solid frame which makes the mouse really heavy. The side buttons, some say it's too hard to press or it's low quality but i prefer hard to press buttons. Because first, when i play either a MMO ( TERA, RIFT, GW2 coming soon ) or a FPS ( BF3, BFBC2, CSS ) i don't ever want to press a button by accident. So making them harder to press makes that possible!(which by the way is not really hard.. it's just harder than some other mice like the Naga for example!)Now for the only Con i could find about this mouse, the software... Although there is a complete guide on how to use it properly on Corsair forums, I would not have been able to use it like it should be used without it. It is a long process and a little bit of learning is required. But now that I know how to use it, it's great and it's not that bad. Sure Corsair could use a lot of improvement but keep in mind that this is their first MMO mouse released in the history of the company. So i'd say this mouse deserves a good 4/5 if not a 4.5/5. The only down side is really the difficulty of use of its driver software. And if you are having difficulties with it, visit the Corsair official forums and browse a little about the mouse... You should be able to get it working perfectly! i know i did!Have a nice Day all!

My mouse history:-Generic Cheap Microsft Laser Mice-Razer Diamondback-Microsoft Sidewinder-Zalman FPSgun-Razer Deathadder 35k-Cyborg RAT7-Corsair M90I'll say it right now, my first good mouse the deathadder won me over entirely. While my mouse history might be missing one or three mice, it shows the story I need to tell you. I am a fan of Razer because of their quality pieces BUT I wanted to stop buying Razer products as well to tr out others (As you can see)And believe me, I wanted to buy different brand mice now and then but it only further proved the fact that most were greatly inferior to Razer mice... I was pretty much a Razer fanboy for mice at least, until I saw the Corsair M90.I have alot of Corsair stuff in my computer including the H70, etc. But the M90 looked very nice overall and being a claw-gripper... it looked pretty good to me. So I went for it.I'll start of by saying that the M90 is a GREAT mouse. On paper. I will give it points for a good braided cord, good M1/M2 scroll buttons, GREAT plastic chassis (Actually the feel of the plastic I'd say is the best I've ever felt on a mouse) and a good hefty build with the aluminium base. Now onto the bad and terrible. The side buttons, it's the whole selling point of the mice. The point of the rest area in the center of all the side buttons is so that you can easily press any of them quickly, now I don't know about you but with most mice-side-buttons I don't actually lift my thumb and press them dead on like I would do with a keyboard. I would instead "rock" my thumbs and kind of push up against the buttons.. because this means my thumbs stay stationary in the center for the most part and I can press buttons faster and more accurately. The whole problem with the M90 is that the buttons on the side are WAY TOO CHEAP. They are terribly stiff and unresponsive, the previous method of "rocking" your thumbs doesn't work, instead you have to literately bash your thumb down onto them. And theres not much of a click either. So the whole point of the side buttons gets raped by the fact that the quality of the buttons are so inferior, it backfires terribly. To add the software for the mouse is terrible, to be fair I guess since its software they could always improve it, but I couldn't figure out how to set macros properly (Other than binding M1 and simple keys) and I bought this mouse far past the launch date.Again to add I think I received a defective unit because my M90 doesn't even work anymore, the mouse cursor will move but all buttons have become non-functional. I have placed a RMA with Corsair and I hope to hear back from them soon.I'm using my Deathadder again and I'm thinking of buying a Razer mice again. This review isn't saying Razer mice are better, but that the M90 fell short. If they had proper software and higher quality sidebuttons... and had my mouse worked and not broke within weeks, I would've given this mouse a 5-Star

Cons: - I cannot hit front 2 thumb buttons unless my fingers are hanging over the front of the mouse (in which case I can no longer hit the rear 3 buttons)- Software looks great, but is a BETA product. There are many bugs currently with the hardware-playback. Long process to get all the settings saved, and if you need to change a keybind you're stuck going through the entire process over again (Beta version 2.12 as of writing this)- The shape, I've never had this much muscle fatigue after using a mouse- Currently no way to "bind/macro" a keypress that allows you to HOLD it down (an example is charging abilities in MMO's, the beta software only allows rapid key presses which doesn't work for holding a skill button...how is this an MMO mouse?)- Occasionally "forgets" keybinds when resuming from system sleep, every button becomes a "left mouse click", must enter software and reset it.- Occasionally becomes entirely unresponsive when resuming from system sleep, must use secondary mouse to enter drivers and reset the M90.

Pros: - Feels very durable- Fully customizable keys, all macro-able, hardware-playback (save settings inside mouse, gets around gameshield things)- Mouse has a rubber-like coating except for the right side which is covered in a gritty coating (think worn-out nail file), this is great for grip!

### I would rate this 1-Star if I could, I purchased in-store and a 1/2-Star rating requires an internet OrderID (0+Invoice# didn't work) ###Rushed product, software is incomplete and hasn't been updated since my purchase over a month ago. Would return it if I could (I'm past the 15 days).Being told by Corsair that I require a second mouse on-standby for when the Beta software goes on the fritz is complete unacceptable - Unless they're willing to purchase said secondary mouse for me, I have some other brands I'd be willing to try.

Cons: Awful software and mouse programming.

Pros: Good finish/look and build quality
Comment:
Basically, corsair made things too complicated for nothing and messed the whole mouse up. My mouse would not work at all in bios or even when I started windows because for some reason it is not smart enough to work on my Steelseries mouse pad (which is really dark) without me messing with settings EVERY SINGLE TIME. Everytime I started windows I had to change settings back and forth ( with a second mouse) so the crappy thing could work on my mousepad. Thank you corsair for this beautiful mouse that you ruined with crappy software and programming.

Cons: Terrible product support, unfinished drivers, lacking advertised features.

Pros: Very nice hardware design, lots of buttons and a solid feel. Heavy for a corded mouse but that is what I like.
Comment:
I bought this mouse with a couple needs in mind for what I wanted out of a mouse:- a lot of buttons that can have macros- changeable dpi settings- Solid construction- No neon colors or LEDs that could not be turned off (has to look somewhat normal at first glance)In hand the mouse feels great. Weighty for a corded mouse but I like that. The thumb buttons are kind of strange until you get used to rolling your thumb over them, kind of stiff, but again not so bad. you know when they are pressed. I think the mouse wheel may have been my favorite mouse wheel ever, weighted but smooth rolling, a nice grip on the surface and notches you can feel but still spin through.Ok so lets get on to using the thing. The software for this is the worst thing ever, like logitech setpoint circa a decade ago. Recording a macro for a button is confusing, you select  your button, start recording, but then need to reselect  the button before doing any input or it just fails. As you might have guessed from needing to click again, macros do not record mouse input, only keyboard presses. Macros do not support keys held down. If you bind middle mouse to say "W" it can repeat it infinitely but it cannot hold the button.Macros also by default play through windows input API rather than through hardware, meaning they flat won't work in any game that directly polls devices. You can change this to hardware playback but you need to re-record your macros and enabling this feature sometimes corrupts the mouses saved internal settings.Settings such as lift height and polling rate are not saved to the mouse. And upon reboot will not return to your setting until you open and "Apply" your settings in the software. My first mouse corrupted itself and would no longer track smoothly in BF3. I was right on the 30 day mark so I contacted corsair who asked me to RMA it on my own dime, I exchanged at NCIX instead. My second mouse had a broken thumb button right out of the gate (where all the rest were stiff it was loose and would only actuate when pressed from a certain angle). I gave it a shot though. After a few days of use I went to change the my dpi presets in the software and the mouse shut itself off (note this is not normal the mouse only goes off and on when changing polling rate typically) after this it refused to work on any USB port on my computer. Plugging into another pc and it worked but would not track smoothly at all. Jumped around as if lagging. Returned for store credit.By this point I was sick of this garbage product from corsair. It is a shame as I have RAM from them and a great CPU cooler as well, but this product was not fully tested in the environment it was meant for.Mine is not an isolated incident as you can see on the corsair forums:http://forum.corsair.com/v3/forumdisplay.php?f=214I would strongly encourage anyone looking to make full use of this mouses advertised features to think twice. If you merely like the design and don't want to use the software or advanced features it may be alright for you.
