Pros: GorgeousComfortable Very well built

You get the quality you expect from Corsair but the driver needs some improving (Still great considering it's one of their first ever keyboards). I would have preferred green or blue cherry mx switches but that's a personal preference. None-the-less, it's a great keyboard and I am happy with my purchase.

Pros: High QualityEasy cleaningNice lookingSimpleEffectivethoughadjustable lightningMX RED and Rubber dome
Comment:
This is the best keyboard I ever had. It is really solid, comfortable, easy to clean and it looks awesome. The combination of rubber dome and MX red are really useful to instinctively know when your hitting F1 instead of 1. The function keys are slightly lower than the other for the same reason. You don't want to accidentally press them. Some LED burned out on mine but its covered by the warranty and if not its not that hard to replace them. (you need to use the same color because other colors use less voltage)The volume wheel is really effective. You can lock the windows keys but not the combos. The numpad light are not too bright (like the lycosa) The combos are easy the program. The back-light is not too dim or too bright and it is adjustable. You also have a full power USB in the keyboard in fact its just and extension cable so it gives you an accessible usb port directly on your motherboard.Seriously the best keyboard I had.PS: If you don't care about the back-light and combo keys go with the K60. It's basically the same but without the combos and back-light

Cons: - Could of included extra keys like the other fps model- Wrist rest could be better but still above average- Could of made all keys mechanical to avoid complaints and confusion

Pros: - Great backlight- Good Quality- Mechanical keys (at least the majority are mechnacial)- Good price compared to many other keyboards- Nice finish on keyboard
Comment:
Overall the keyboard is great really all keys not being Mechncial is not a huge deal since the response time is still the same. The wrist rest is not bad considering its built for gaming and it does feel conftable.Overall someone who is using this keyboard for other things besides gaming such as writting stories, office work, etc you may be disapointed since this keyboard is not ergonomic at all and its built for gaming.

I went from a logitech G15 to a Razer Black Widow Ultimate to this Corsair Vengeance K90, and I must say, I am so happy with the decision. The black widow is what got me hooked on mechanical keyboard, but i had a few gripes with it. first of all, the mx cherry blues feel great, but they are really noisy. this is just a preference thing, but i really love the feeling of typing on the reds on the corsair k90. i also love the look and construction of this keyboard. the black widow was glossy black plastic, which showed smudges and just looked cheaper than this keyboard.as far as the whole hybrid mechanical/rubber dome debacle, it hasnt really given me the same problems everyone else has been having. there is obviously a noticeable difference between the two types of keys, with the mechanical keys being superior, but it really doesnt bother me. 99.9% of my keypresses are on mechanical keys, and the feeling of the rubber dome is still pretty high quality. there is one thing that is really bothering me though. the backlight on the rubber dome keys, both the F keys and the macro keys, is quite a bit dimmer than the backlighting on the mechanical keys. it would just improve the overall esthetics to have the backlights be the same brightness. its not that big of a deal, but it is noticeable.this is the best keyboard i have ever owned, and that included some of the other top keyboards on the market. would highly recommend.

Comment:
My Razer Blackwidow Ultimate had broken on me so I picked this keyboard up.First off, cherry mx reds. If you are coming from blues, these will feel mushy the first time you use it. Coming from a standard dome keyboard, these will probably feel more familiar than mx blue/brown.There is no tactile feedback whatsoever that you pushed the keys. It took some getting used to, but I'm now back at the point I have found the actuation point and am getting used to not bottoming out the keycaps. Reds are much quieter than blues, so much so I think I could take this keyboard to work and not have my coworkers yell at me for my noisy keyboard.I have been finding my right hand at times actuates the L key. Might have to do with my hand. Since the RED mx's require less pressure than the blues that I was used to, I imagine this will simply take time. The actuation point of mx reds are very shallow, so any weight whatsoever on a key will activate it.I have not noticed any ghosting or key repeats while using this key. The software seems to handle this pretty well. I also tested the 20 key roll over but only tested 10 keys. All 10 keys were sent. While the purists love n key roll over I only have 10 fingers so 10 is honestly enough for me. It's a purist feature to have a higher amount, but while gaming I only ever have one hand on the keyboard, so pressing 4-5 keys at the same time is the best I can do.While not all keys are mechanical cherry mx reds (you can easily find which keys aren't and are from other reviews), I don't find it too much of a negative. To be honest, I rarely use the ones that aren't. It would've been nice if they were all mechanical, sure... but the most used keys are mechanical. The layout is standard for me, with a long shift, long backspace and normal enter key. This was a requirement for me, and I feel one of the most important things about keyboards. So much so, I will disregard a keyboard no matter what price / features are there if they don't match my preferred layout. One of the greatest features about this keyboard though is how the keys are elevated off the backplate and not enclosed or recessed. I smoke at my computer, and my keyboards usually fill up with ash and other such debris. The keys being elevated means this is much easier to clean. The brushed aluminum is also easier to keep clean than a glossy surface such as the razer black widow ultimate.Another nice feature is that the legs on the underside of the keyboard open left-to-right. I don't know how many times I've closed one leg inadvertently by pushing the keyboard backwards or pulling it forward. It's a nice touch that shows this keyboard's design had some real-world thought behind it.The macro keys however are the only weakness of this keyboard for me. It will be a personal preference for you though. Myself, I don't really use the macro keys and 1 column of 6 would've sufficed. Instead I have 18 keys + 3 profiles giving me 54 macros. I'll be lucky if I use 5 macro keys throughout the entire life of the keyboard. The macro portion measures adds about 6 cm or 2.5 inches to the width of the keyboard. The recessed positioning is more awkward than useful for me. I believe if they were elevated it would be easier to use. Since I have small hands, my hand has to completely leave the home rows to activate them. As they are at a recessed position, my hand must move further than if they were elevated. Likewise I feel they should be on a 30 degree gradient where the G1 column is higher then the g3 key to decrease the distance the hand must move.I've had a few long gaming sessions with this keyboard and the wrist rest does it's job of supporting the left hand and keeping any sweat from slipping your hand. It's comfortable for the most part and I'm glad it's there. The keyboard was very stable on the desk and very well built. The aluminum face plate probably has more to do that than anything. One of the common complaints with all individually backlit keyboards are that some LEDs just don't work. Given on average 104 lights, if there is a 1% failure rate on LEDs, then that's 1 key on a keyboard. Corsair's RMA process is very easy and one of their strengths as a company. This is the reason I felt safe buying a backlit keyboard from them. This is corsair's first version or rookie debut of their keyboard. I expect the next version will address a number of the complaints with this keyboard, since they appear to be the same for everyone. At the end of the day, I wouldn't necessarily say this is the best keyboard or end-all-be-all of mechanical gaming keyboards. It is however a solid keyboard that you can't go wrong with. I would purchase this keyboard again and recommend it to anyone.

fantastic board. it feels solid, looks great, and feels even better. The membrane keys aren't that bad, but it does feel weird hitting one on the same board. the software isn't quite as good as the razer or logitech software Ive used before, but that can always improve with updates.Wanted a backlit mechanical keyboard with multimedia controls, and a couple macros. This was basically my only choice. Lots of mech keyboards out there, but not many are backlit. Of the ones that ARE backlit, they don't have multimedia keys. Not a PERFECT board but still a fantastic one that is worth the cash.

I've been wanting a mechanical keyboard for a long time now and this is just what I was expecting from one. The K90 is a absolute joy to type on and the backlighting is stunning, everyone I've shown it too is blown away by how different it is to type on and how cool it looks in the dark and even daylight. There's no going back to a non-mechanical keyboard after you try one that's for sure. The volume wheel is extremely handy and very nice to use, the keyboard feels SOLID and well built. My only complaints I guess would be the non-mechanical keys (The F1-12 keys, End, print screen etc.) feel a little mushy but I guess that's expected since the others are mechanical. The cable is thick and definitely looks like it could take some abuse and the extra usb port in the keyboard is handy.I would easily recommend this for a first mechanical keyboard or as a replacement, Corsair is a brand I hold with high regard and this keyboard only boosts that reputation for me.

Pros: MechanicalBacklitMany Macro KeysMedia ButtonsRubberized, removable wrist wrest
Comment:
Purchased this after much research for a keyboard that would fit my personal tastes. I find the cherry red to be very satisfying and yet decently quiet for the rest of the people in the room. I find the macro keys the most useful, having mapped allot of websites to it, so that I can open my favorite sites by pressing a few keys. The media keys feel very solid and work very well without any configuring and the rubberized wrist rest is a good addition. My only issues are that I find the backlight a bit bright for dark room gaming and the drivers seem to have a slight issue where once every one or two days the keyboard won't recognize that I released a key until I press it again. For example I press w, then release and the keyboard will register that I am holding w down until I press it again. This is a very rare and minor issue though, I have seen much worse driver issues with gaming keyboards.

This is my first mechanical keyboard so this is a bit hard to compare but to me it makes a huge difference at typing and gaming. The red switches are a bit too soft for my taste though. The keyboard is beautifully lit but I've had a led die on me. Nothing worth replacing the whole unit for but I've seen others had the same problem. Unfortunately, the non-mechanical part of the keyboard really doesn't feel good even compared to other membrane keyboards. Overall, I'd still definately recommand it(when on sale or price matched) to anyone who wants a fairly cheap backlit mechanical keyboard.

Comment:
The Cherry MX red switches are great on this keyboard. However they are super loud and that's the only downside to this product so far. The build quality is amazing, and the keys are so nice and simple to type with. I am a fast typer and this keyboard makes my typing even faster. I hardly have to use any force to activate the keys. If you're going to record videos like me, I'd suggest that you turn the gain of the microphone down, and shout into your mic, because the keyboard makes a lot of noise during recordings on the blue yeti. The software is simple, and so much better than the one for my g110 from logitech. The g110's software was a pain to use, and was too hyped up, and far from simple.

A lot of good reviews here already, so I won't make this too long. I upgraded to this from a Steelseries Merc Stealth.Just as a note: I have no issues using this keyboard in my BIOS on my ASUS P6T Deluxe. Not sure why the one reviewer is having issues with Sabretooth. Is there perhaps a setting for USB on boot? This is the nicest keyboard I have ever owned, and I have to say if you are comtemplating making the jump to mechanical keys, don't delay! It is a real difference and very much improved. Others have said it, and yes this keyboard isn't all mechanical, but after a couple weeks of use, I really haven't noticed. All the main keys are mechanical. Those comments made me delay buying for a bit, but if you like the look of this keyboard, don't let the mechanical/normal keys split stop you.The led backlighting is excellent, and it does light ALL the keys. Some vids I watched on YouTube made it look like only the main keys were illuminated and not the function, macro keys, etc. They are all illumiated very well, with the mechanicals being slightly brighter, and with the three brightness levels you won't have any issues seeing any of the keys in low light.I won't go into a big deal about the software, but be prepared to do some Googling to learn how to use it. It is not obvious, but once you learn it, it is full featured and should satisfy most if not all users. Corsair could really improve this by at least including a link in the docs or software to a user manual on there site. Their forums are a good resource, but it takes longer to get started browsing forums. Recording macros on the fly is a very nice option too. This is an exceptional keyboard in my opinion, and even with the learning curve and research required to get the most out of the software, I still highly recommend it.

Pros: - Beautiful aluminum base.- Keys feel great under your fingers.- Rubbery wrist rest.- Bright LEDs.- Raised keys.
Comment:
The Corsair Vengeance K90 is a beautifully constructed piece of equipment that performs well. The keyboard layout is pretty standard, and standard is good. No shortened backspace key or space bar, and no plus-sized enter bar. The keys themselves aren't overly loud for a mechanical keyboard but they're still distinctively loud enough to be characterized as mechanical just by hearing it at work. The one thing I'll say about the keys themselves is that they're raised significantly higher than most keyboards I've used, which takes some getting used to. I tend to hit the space bar just above my thumb knuckle on a normal keyboard and because of the sharpness of the edge of the space bar on the K90 it starts to hurt fairly quickly, so I have to change the way that I type. I find myself raising my hands to type which honestly makes the wrist rest kind of pointless since my hands are no longer on it anymore while typing. To be fair my normal typing style doesn't have my fingers angled very high so that has a lot to do with it as well. The positive for the raised keys is that it makes it much easier to clean the gunk that tends to collect under the keys from general use(especially if you eat anywhere near your computer area). The rubber feet below the keyboard keeps it from moving at all, it's literally rock solid... though because it's brand new I suspect it has to do with a lack of wear and tear on my particular keyboard. Not all the keys are mechanical, which seems to bother quite a few people but honestly I don't notice it except for one particular key. All of the important keys are mechanical and that's what really counts. The meat of the keys are all mechanical, the arrow keys are mechanical, and the number pad in its entirety is mechanical. The keys that are not mechanical are the G keys, the ESC key, F1-F12, and the 9 keys above the arrow keys. To be fair, I would've liked the delete  key to be mechanical, it's clearly the standout among the keys that aren't mechanical as I personally use it frequently. The macro keys... I'm going to be honest and say that I've never used them and don't intend on ever using them. The only reason I got the K90 was because the K60 didn't have backlit keys. There's no happy medium of having a regular keyboard from Corsair with backlit keys(take a hint guys and make a K75 or something!). The G keys themselves, because the regular keys are raised so high, are considerably lower. They're not going to get hit accidentally under any circumstances. This also may or may not make them harder to hit unless you're used to looking at the G keys before pressing one. Personally I can't imagine how these keys can see any sort of functional use but maybe that's just me. It's a personal preference but I can't find a use for them at all.The backlighting is very nice to look at because of both the laser-etched keys and the aluminum back-piece which makes the light bounce off of it. It gives the whole keyboard a pleasant glow and not just the keys themselves. It can be set from a modest glow to eye-damagingly bright(it's seriously bright!) and full blast is extremely bright. Fortunately there are 3 levels of brightness(not including the off state) so there's a happy medium between pleasant glow and migraine-inducing bright. Oddly there seems to be two levels of lighting regardless of the brightness setting. The non-mechanical keys are considerably darker than the mechanical keys, and on the keys where two symbols appear($ and 4 for instance) the top one is always the brighter one of the two. It's a minor quip but I find it odd that the symbols over the number keys are brighter than the numbers when I think it should be the other way around. It's pretty clear that it's just designed to be uniform but it's just visually odd to me for those particular keys. The reason why bright LEDs also appears in my negatives is because when you're reading something and the LEDs are bright, my eyes makes the lighting jump around some. It's hard to describe  but when your eyes are jumping around on the screen, your peripheral vision makes it appear like the lights are flickering or something and it's very distracting. Maybe this is something you get used to after some time, but I suspect it has a lot to do with the raised keys and the way the lighting bounces off of the aluminum finish.I should mention that I had to RMA my first K90 ordered from NCIX which did not work properly. The keyboard would "freeze" upon hitting a key, causing any other key to not register at all until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Rinse and repeat. I did an RMA with Corsair and not NCIX since I figure it would be more helpful to have the manufacturers be in possession of bad equipment and not a seller, and they were kind enough to send me a new K90 and this new one works just fine after plugging it in. I'm mortified of the idea of downloading the drivers from the website as people have reported problems with hardware locking up or failing entirely upon using the software(for those that didn't have problems with whatever Windows grabs once you plug it in for the first time). The Corsair staff on their support forums are helpful at least, where in contrast I've heard nasty things from other manufacturers(shoutout to RAM GUY who helped on the forum).I'd buy the keyboard again just on the basis of having most of my computer hardware Corsair-branded. I have an Antec case that glows a pretty blue, and now I have a mouse and keyboard that glow the same pretty blue. It's a shallow reason to order one again if I needed to replace it but the keyboard itself performs well enough and the branding/color puts it over the edge for me.

I just upgraded from a regular keyboard and I gotta say it makes a huge difference - a good one. For people thinking about buying a mechanical keyboard they should definitely consider this one. Even though the keyboard isn't fully mechanical it doesn't really matter because you're hardly ever going to use those keys to play/type anyway. For the keys you are going to use to type with it does feel a lot better than a regular keyboard. PLUS IT HAS PRETTY LIGHTS!
