Cons: None

Pros: Reliable, good price
Comment:
Been using LG drives for years and they have never let me down. Waited for the blu-ray reader to come down to a reasonable price and chose LG because of its reliability and the fact they can read pretty much any brand of cd/dvd you try.

Cons: doesn't seem to be compatible with my system or something.

Pros: not sure due to the fact that it didn't work for me
Comment:
so i bought because i was just looking to get a cheaper blu-ray player for my mom's computer, and for some reason it isn't compatible or something like that. doesn't show up in devices, and i was having trouble finding support. I ended up selling this one to a friend for like 20 bucks or something, and i saw another person having the same problem on here. I just reminded myself to write this after I went to my friends house to watch a movie on his computer with the blu-ray drive, which works fine with his pc.

Cons: - None? Of course it won't burn blu-ray at such price but burning blu-ray cost way too much anyway.

Pros: - The front of the unit looks much higher quality than common dvd writter but yea it isn't 19$ heh.- Not too noisy and seriously it's not that expensive.
Comment:
I bought this for a guy that needed a HTPC. It's much less expensive than buying a 100-150$ blu-ray dvd player for people who don't use their computer on their tv.

Cons: No sata data connector cord?

Pros: Quick shipping, its a blue ray drive
Comment:
I'm currently building my first computer and was slightly shocked to see this not come with a SATA data connector cord (power connector is obviously on my power supply)The manual says it is supposed to come with one, so i will be mailing NCIX support shortly

Pros: Loads discs fairly quickly, includes PowerDVD software for playback
Comment:
Bought this so I could play blu-rays on my HTPC. Wish it had been a bit cheaper, but it's still a good player for the price.

Cons: Even though this is not advertised as an OE item it certainly appears to be OE the one I received came without any retail packaging at all.

Pros: Decent software included
Comment:
I bought this to complement my LG BH12LS38. I was kind of surprised that this LG Blu-Ray drive was not shipped in retail packaging. The included software should be adequate for most users. These drives can read anything I've put their way.

Cons: - glossy cover

Pros: + well built+ Bluray (read) with lightscribe (write with DVDs)
Comment:
An affordable option for introducing Bluray (read) into your HTPC or other build. Comes with included software, as previously noted. Good read and write times.Unfortunately, the front plate is glossy black (hard to tell in the photo), which I am not fond of, as the rest of my case is matte. Not a big deal, but it may be important to others where matching face plates would be ideal. No problems experienced with the drive so far. Would purchase again.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Looks nice, PowerDVD 9, fairly quiet
Comment:
Got this for my HTPC to play blu-ray, DVDs and eventually rip blu-rays. Has a gloss black front finish, not like photo, with horizontal pinstriping. Actually looks nice. Tray is solid and sturdy. Generally the unit is quiet. OEM version but came with PowerDVD 9. Software was a bit of a surprise, I was expecting v8 which everyone seems to hate. So this will play 5.1DTS (confirmed) and I think it will do 7.1 as well. There are 3D logos on both the disk and splash screens. I cannot confirm that it will play 3D but I read another review on this v9 OEM disk that it does play back 3D just fine. Blu-rays take about 20 seconds to get going after you close the tray. PowerDVD 9 opens automatically after disk inserted. Using Win7 32bit.I have it playing through a MSI E350IA-E45 motherboard, HDMI to my TV and picture looks great. Sound is via optical to my AV receiver. Got a bit of a break on the price via a price match somewhere else.
