I bought this for an ATI x1950 over a year ago. It works impressively well. With some high overclocking, the card doesn't overheat whatsoever. No problems in over a year. I do have to clean dust out of it every couple months however, but being in an Antec 900 case, it does suck in a lot of dust. So if you have a case with dust filters, dust probably won't be much of a problem.

Cons: Those heat sinks don't stick very well I barely touched one and it fell off had to stick it back on again but no biggy just beware that they come off easy also really bad instructions.

Pros: Holy hell this thing cooled my GPU down to 35 Celsius on idle compared to stock fan which was 45 Celsius on idle with fan speed set at 61% and the cool part of this fan is that its dual fanned for a GPU! and as a bonus it has LED's which is really quite cool to bad my computer case is just a generic one also the best part about this VGA cooler is that its really really quiet before it sounded like an airplane taking off with the stock fan but now I can't even hear it!
Comment:
I was a little confused with the instructions they where nothing like my card but that's usually the case with instructions, I have a Geforce 8800 GT and the instructions I was trying to follow where telling me to put heat sinks in the wrong places so I did some research on the web and this is what I found this image which has all the heat sinks in the right place http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff305/kpo6969/fullyinstalled.jpg hope this helps other people with 8800 GT that didn't get the instructions like me. Cons: a little on the loud side, ram thermal paste is a little worry some.

Pros: dual fan and innovative heat convection technology efficiently dissipates hot air
Comment:
I had a little problem getting a few piece of the ram heat sink to stick. Most sticked well, so I assume that's my problem. The LED fans looked beautiful though. It performed better than HR-03 GT without the fan.

Cons: -Stock thermal paste isn't very effective nor is there enough of it-Memory heatsinks fell off a couple times in the past, but they're sticking well now.

Pros: -One of the best coolers you can get for an 8800GT-Took my temps down to 47C idle, 58C full load; I can't exceed 60C, even with Crysis-Spiffy blue LEDs are a neat touch-Extremely quiet and efficient-Just plain love it!
Comment:
I'm gonna order some Arctic MX-2 thermal paste and get rid of the stock paste. The first couple months I was idling at 37C. The paste has worn off and although the card is still cool, a 10 degree increase is not acceptable. Nothing a little MX-2 won't fix.If you've got an 8800GT, I strongly urge you buy this DuOrb. NCIX shipped it to me really fast.

Pros: Full Copper designQuiet2x 80MM fanDecent instructions
Comment:
I had a Diamon HD3870 that on stock cooling would idle x 68C (+/- 4C depending on weather) and while in CoD4 with fan x 100% I would get 90C, This cooler Idled at 45C for the first 10 minutes it was installed. Following a hour of CoD4, on max with clocks x 790/1250 and all settings in game to the max with 4x AA, this cooler was x 50C, its really quiet and cool.I highly reccomend this to any owner of the HD3870!

Cons: A bit on the pricy side

Pros: Quick and Easy InstallationFantastic Results
Comment:
Bought this for my visiontek hd4850. The install was quick and easy. It dropped my temps by almost 40 degrees so I overclocked my card to maximum possible through CCC. Still holding rock steady. A tad on the loud side though! Probably fixable through RivaTuner though..Amazing buy. =)

Cons: - Really Bad Instructions- Standard Molex Connector ( Can't Control fan speed)

Pros: - Great Cooling- Looks Cool- Pretty Quiet
Comment:
Bought this for EVGA 8800 GT, the manual is wrong it says to use Hexagonal Screws (D) and clip hole 2.Instead you need to use Hexagonal Screws (C) and clip hole 1.If you follow the manual the heat sink won't make contact with the chip.Overall it's a great cooler, knocked my idle temps down about 12 C, load does not exceed 50 ( Stock HS was Idle at 55)

Cons: Loud

Pros: Looks coolPlenty of extra RAM/VRM-sinks
Comment:
This is a typical Thermaltake product. It looks nice and performs well, but only cuz it's very loud. When you turn down the fan speed/noise to acceptable levels, the Accelero S1 performs about the same... WITHOUT A FAN. With a quiet 120mm strapped to it, it's more than 10 degrees cooler than the Duorb at full speed. If you're tight on space and want active cooling, I suppose this is the best choice, but you should find a way of decreasing the fan speed or you'll go deaf.

Cons: Heat sinks may not stick very well

Pros: Great Price vs performanceNice Leds
Comment:
Luckily I had some extra thermal paste as the glue included on the heat sinks wasn't that good and several of the included heat sinks kept falling off until I smeared some paste on them. Over all though this works great on my 8800GTS and has amazing eye-candy power. Lowers my temps by 8-15 degrees on heavy load. May not be the best cooler if over-clocking but in terms of price vs performance it is quite a good cooler and highly recommended.

Cons: No speed control

Pros: Good performance, fancy look
Comment:
Put this on my EVGA 8800GT, works great. Cools down my card (core+ram) at least 5~10C than stock cooler. Looks very cool with those blue LED. One thing I don't like is there is no speed control, so it always runs at full speed, and a bit noisy. And the fan cable is a bit long and might stuck into the fan and stop it. It happened once, and there is no warning sound, so my card overheat once.

Cons: Inaccurate instructions for 8800GT cards.(READ BELOW IF YOU USE ONE)

Pros: Nice lookingCopper heat piping
Comment:
Got this to replace the stock vga cooler on my evga 8800GT super clocked. It seems to be working well. Before i was hitting 90C in crysis at times, now i havent seen my temps go higher than 60C under load. The instructions dont work for the evga 8800GT. For 8800 series cards you are suppose to use the long hex screws. Not with the evga 8800GT however. With both ATI and Nvidia cards you are suppose to put the plastic washers on the side opposite of the vga cooler (on the hex screws.)Not with the evga 8800GT however. They needed to go on the side with the vga cooler otherwise the heatsink would be imbalanced on the GPU. Trying to tighting the vga cooler to the card with the washers on the opposite side of the vga cooler could end up damaging your gpu. So i would suggest doing it the way i did it if you are using the evga 8800GT sc.Also, you may want to consider buying a fan controller aswell since the duorb uses a molex connector to get power.

Cons: -power cord-instructions a bit wrong

Pros: -Size-Can use it in a SLI setup-Looks-Blue LED matches case-quietness
Comment:
I purchased two of these for my EVGA 8800 GT SLI setup. Using the Themaltake Tsunami case, was having heat issues with the bottom card being too hot, not much case airflow there even after adding a fan. These drop the temp of the top card by 20oC and the bottom card by 30oC, very good product for my usage. Also the fan power does not plug into the card, but into a 4 pin molex. Ram heatsinks looked a little crummy at first, but they are doing their job. I very much love these units, they are perfect for my case, not to big, not to loud, very good cooling on these cards and very stylish.** Little note for 8800 GT users ** : Instructions said to use thick hex screws for 8800 series users but I would not recommend it. Looks like the cooler does not even touch GPU, big visible gap and no paste on the cooler. Use the smaller hex screws, in bag A.

EVGA 8800GT at stock with the stock cooler = 57 Idle and 78 LoadWith this cooler it is 40C Idle and 60C load. I am more than pleased. It does not take up the space as one of the HR-03's and is more than enough for this card. My Load and Idle temps are at 700Mhz/2000Mhz also.

Comment:
the duorb is a amzing cooler for the money its takes my stock tems at idle 40-45 then in game/load on 80-90 on stock cooling down to 25 on idle and load 40 but u do need a fan that intakes cool air form out side of ur case right on the video card like a antec tri cool edit my card is oced to 875 core and 1301 on the memory stable This review was modfied by poster @ 02-03-08 10:04 AM

Awesome VGA cooler for my overclocked HD 3870! Temps are hovering around 30°C at idle and while playing COD4 - I toggle between the desktop and the game - my temps never exceed 46°C!!! I use to have temps in the 85°C range with the stock heatsink. Oh and my card is overclocked at 855mhz core / 1351mhz memory!I want to go over some problems I had during the install... I was under the impression that I wouldn't have to remove the memory heatsink... but I was wrong... you must remove the memory heatsink for this cooler to fit on the HD 3870. The other problem I had was I tightened one screw too tight and broke it. My suggestion is to tighten the screws with your fingers as tight as you can and then do a half turn with your wrench. Besides that... I love this cooler! I can't get over the low temps! This review was modfied by poster @ 01-24-08 06:58 AM

This is a great cooler, i would recommend this to anyone who is interested in buying a vga cooler. My stock temps on my 8800gt were: idle- 53 degrees C, load- 92 degrees. My new temps now are idle- 40 degrees, load- 53 degrees. Once again this is a great cooler.

Cons: Exhausts into case, fairly loud

Pros: Keeps 3870 nice and cool
Comment:
This is a quite nice video card cooler, which looks good and works well.It is fairly loud, but I have 6 120mm fans in my case right now, so I don't really notice it over the others. Once I get my fan controllers in, I'll be able to make everything quieter.Overall, I'm happy with the cooler. It's nice looking, for those who have side windows, and it keeps my video card nice and cool.

Pros: Great performance, keeps everything cool.
Comment:
It's a great cooler that keeps everything under 55*C with an overclocked 8800GT, but is incredibly loud. It's the only thing I can hear in my case and I have 7 other fans. I would recommend it to someone who doesn't really care about noise but only about cooling.

Comment:
This VGA is easy to install on a 8800gt no information on how to install it on a 8800gt but it fit. Don't do much noise (always have music on and 4 other fans running in my case). LED effects are cool. It dropped my idle temp from 10 degrees and the same for heavy load.

Pros: Quiet, Great temp, Cool blue, easy install.
Comment:
Great coolers, bought 2 of these for a pair of Galaxy 8800 Gt's. The stock galaxy coolers sucked really bad, idled at 60 ish C and went to 91C playing crysis. After install temps now at 40C idle an maxed at 61C load after an hour of Crysis.30C drop is huge, but overclocks did not improve, like others i could hit max speeds with stock coolers, but now at lower temps an much quieter as fans dont have to spin nearly as high. Unfortunatly they do eat up 2 extra slots in sli which leaves me access to only 1 pci slot for sound card. As usuall fast ship an great service from NCIX team.

Duorb on EVGA 8800GT is amazing! Currently idling like others at 32 degrees. But using RivaTuner's Performance Monitor, it shows the core temperature to be 40 degrees at idle.At load its 45 degrees and Riva shows at 53 degrees. At stock I was idling around 50 degrees and on load 80 degrees. This is one bada$$ VGA cooler, specially for your 8800GT!
