Appears greatsimple to set upOught to preserve my i7 950 cool Was a bit difficult to get it to sit proper. Just make sure you have the pegs twisted the right way so it wont move about on you. IF YOU HAVE IT IN Properly, IT WONT MOVE. I've seen other people who have complained of it not sitting in correct, and its due to the fact they don't have it on properly. Just take the time to make sure the pegs are in all the way.

Appears fantastic. Lots of clearance for my Corsair Dominator Ram. Not as well tall, it fits my case (Antec 1080AMG Plus SOHO). Superior than the OEM AMD cooler. In my opinion, its has three design and style flaws. 1) The fan is not replaceable mainly because it's not a common size or type. 2) The fan has a three pin connector, so I can not use the motherboards fan speed control. 3) Poor airflow design and style, It fights with then airflow of the case. Soon after a small more than a year of service, the fan has died in mine. It's difficult to locate a replacement due to the truth that it is a "squirrel cage" design and style of an odd size. It's going to be far less complicated for me to just purchase a new cooler all collectively.Another annoyance is that it has a 3-pin power connector rather than a 4-pin. This indicates that my motherboard can't manage the fan speed, so I have to get beneath my desk and reach around to the back of the computer to manually adjust the speed with the adjuster that comes with the cooler. So, if i'm watching a movie and don't want to hear the fan, below the desk I go to readjust. But then you move onto gaming and you need the extra cooling, back beneath the desk once more. Annoying...As for cooling, it an average cooler. Way superior than OEM, but absolutely nothing specific. It has a poor style for airflow, it sucks cool air from the ends and blows it out radially about it, which conflicts with the overall airflow by way of the case.

Looks good, light weight and fairly straightforward to install. Evaluations mentioned it would perform on the AMD Phenom II X6 1090 Black Edtion. Tried to get it to operate three instances and located it wasn't making hardly any get in touch with with the CPU.

Appears wicked great in the case with the glowing LED's in the thermaltake case I bought. fairly quiet with the adjustment turned all the way up on speed control. and keeps the processor pretty cool. 90 F in a space thats kept about 70 F none so far i would take other reviews into consideration, i dont do any overclocking so I dont know how properly it does below these situations but from what i hear this is a lot more for appears and running processors at the stock clock speed.

This point is awesome and, effectively, lovely! It cools my CPU extremely well. Operating COD MW II for two hours on a Phenom IIx4 965 oc'd to 3.93 and running at 38 C, idles at 32 C, ambient temp is 22 C. I'm operating the fan @ 2Ǚ speed for optimal cooling and it is quieter than my case's 120mm fans. It's big, I suggest a dry run prior to thermal pasting it in there! The manufacturer's suggested mounting path worked nicely for me on my MSI NF980-G65, no concerns with the memory slots ƑǞ" clearance). Really nice, mirror like mounting surface, flat, didn't have to lap it and no scratches. Mounted quickly with the supplied bracket. *Kind of pricy, but worth it.*Can't marry it.*Doesn't scramble eggs.*This cooler is Enormous! make sure you have plenty of area in your case!*Mid towers may well not operate. measure, measure!*Fan at max speed creates vibration, shakes a little.*Fan at max speed seems to produce turbulance, temps went up! May well be my case and regional dynamics. lol*A 4 pin energy plug would be good for these who don't want to mess with a manual fan speed controller. Newegg rocks! Had my stuff in two days! Thanks guys!CPU temps supplied by manufacturer's onboard oc controller. Temps taken with a laser heat gun @ four inches distance. Just before SpinQ cpu temp 45C Idle and goes up to 72C on Prime95 test for about 5 min. on stock cooler. With SpinQ Idle temp at 38C and on Prime95 test never ever goes up above 60C. Wonderful cooler! Employing on Phenom II X3 720 with unlocked 4th core, no O/C, yet. None. Also dropped ambient temp from 40C to 36C and stays there. I guess the major fan cools a lot more than just the CPU.

I had the stock cooler for the core i7 920 which was idling about 60c and at load would sometimes attain as higher as 100c and freeze. I put this on and the idle was about 40c and the load rarely reached above 70c. I then found I could simply overclock it to as higher as 3.5GHz (stock is 2.67GHz), but left it at 3.0GHz and it runs only a handful of degrees hotter than it does at two.67GHz. I have also noticed that it runs a little quieter than the stock cooler and it does appear amazing. It is a small major, if you have a mid-size case and a side fan or air duct correct over where the CPU is you will most likely need to have to take it out. That's what occurred to me but I just employed some little bolts I had to preserve the grill more than the fan hole and it looks fine (it doesn't get hotter) I would very recommend this cooler if you are possessing overheating concerns or you want to overclock but do not want to operate with or pay for a water cooling system

appealing, nicely built, sturdy, large doesnt cool effectively for me and doesnt cover the complete surface of the processor phenom 4 2.5ghz . difficult to install, 30 mins may just require to redo my thermal paste, but i began playing with 6,8 and 10 % o.c. and runs past 60c on all 3

The Spinq keeps temps at a very nice, and by nice I mean low temperatures. Blue led appears quite cool. Overall design appears beautiful. Employing antec 902 case this point barely fits with side fan in.Installation was very challenging for me. This is my initially encounter with a snap on cpu cooler. I have constructed a lot of computers with screw variety cpu coolers. The directions exactly where poor as to what you were suppose to do. I was not comfy with how challenging I had to push to get the plastic parts to clip on to the motherboard. I got it on finally essentially by means of trial and error. Explanation for the 4 star rating: This is a fantastic cpu cooler but receiving it on is a distinct story. The directions exactly where poor and the general security of plastic parts holding this cpu cooler is a tiny scary.

Nifty design and style, effortless to clean, straightforward to set up, massive (if u have a large case), quiet unless on max Base demands to be lapped (is concave), not the greatest cooler for high-overall performance CPU's, large (if yo have a tiny case), collects alot of dust I've had this cooler since the i7's released last year. I got this one particular because it was one of the only aftermarket coolers obtainable for socket 1366 at the time. It's very durable and has a great amount of longevity, but doesn't execute as well as some newer releases like the Prolimatech Megahalems. When it is effortless to clean it needs to be cleaned far more often than the HSF i replaced it with. I also needed to Lap the base mainly because it came concave out of the box. If it were convex this would not be as significantly of an situation

This factor is amazing!....also massive( which is a plus for me maybe not for all) Moves alot of air threw out the case and aids with maintaining my video card from burning up from the abuse lol Not really a con for me but you ought to take out the motherboard to get this 1 on also if you place it on a specific way you really should have brief ram sticks. wasn't certain about trying a new firm for my cpu cooling (usualy use Zalman) but this point is awsome! And it looks super cool in my new case aswell ( which is significant for this gamer girl) on another believed you wont believe just how massive this factor is till the box comes in the mail lol it's seriously huge nearly touches the side of my case and the bottom of my top rated vent fans. Oh yes an additional though the blue light isn't that vibrant so you can't even see it with my cold cathodes that are in my case.In all I'd definatly recomend this product it's seriously cool hunting and it does it's job extremely well with all the a lot of MMO's I play my cpu stays cold even with tons of other junk in the back ground operating (sometimes you just can't help that lol)

Looks good, it is certainly special but in a good way. It cools my CPU nicely. Idle it stays at ㅛC and under load BARELY reaches 48C. A lot greater than stock. In between it and my Processor is some Arctic Silver 5(also great). All the Fans in my pc are Thermaltake. It moves plenty of air, looks good undertaking it. It is large- bigger than I imagined it to be. It rattles around a bit on highest setting so I turn it down to a bit below where it stops shaking. (My temps are based on it running exactly where I have it set all the time). If the fan dies, it's going to be awful really hard to replace just the fan. The edges can be type of sharp- so watch your hands. Make sure it gets plenty of airflow from where it wants it. Fantastic fan and heatsink. Been utilizing it for a even though and I adore it. Thermaltake makes good stuff! Newegg rocks! I give it five eggs because it does what its supposed to: It appears amazing and keeps my CPU cooler(by a long shot) than stock heatsink/fan.

Looks fantastic!! the LED lights are much more blue than purple, as shown in the stock images. Goes with my Antec 902 completely with adequate area for a 120mm side fan.Stock AMD heatsink ~ 44cSpin-Q heatsink ~ 35cabout 9c distinction on a overclocked phenom II x4 940 @ three.5GhzAnd it's fairly light. So it won't snap your motherboard in half when it's hanging there like some other 2lbs+ cpu coolers out there. Also has a fan speed manage knob, but I didn't feel it was needed.. who buys a aftermarket cpu cooler and runs it on standard speed anyways right? And it's surprisingly quiet on max speed. The strap down on the heatsink itself to the motherboard appears a bit flimsy as it's just One metal like bar holding it, but it seems to be doing the job. Guidelines are horrible, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what goes where.I'm fairly happy with my obtain, but only ӵc cooler than my stock AMD cooler on idle... zzz thought it was going to be Considerably Substantially cooler. But I purchased it for mainly the appears lol

Cools like it looks, excellent!!!! Really quiet as-nicely. Listen if your considering this fan, and have read the testimonials, don't be scared about the issue with the card feeling drop, or sliding. I've got a phenom II x4, while the sink only runs the middle, and will slide into location when locked down, it DOES lock secure. And the hold down bracket feel stronger than my stocked cooler by far.Below load, keeps items around 55c, not poor think about my laptop space stays incredibly Incredibly warm. This case I'm presently operating, also holds two 275's overclocked in sli. So considering the heat already present, this fan rocks. At idle 31c. Could be a bit considerably to match in a mid size case. Whats cool about this card is that it not only cools the CPU, but the fan covers the length of the fins, and supplies cool air to any elements nearby . . . like the back of the board for the GPU as-nicely. SWEET DEAL!

Pretty. Really pretty. Straightforward to mount/unmount. Quiet as well. Felt like it mounted fairly solidly on my 1366. Not a top of the line cooler. With a really mild 3.1 overclock at about 25c ambient I idle in the mid to high 40's. Tension tests with prime 95 max me out suitable at 80c. Verified many occasions that it's mounted securely/plenty of nt-h1 paste applied and a fantastic spread. Working with the xclio windtunnel with the 2x250mm fans on high undoubtedly pushing a lot of air in, and a 120 pulling air out, as nicely as the hs fan on complete blast. Never gets a lot more than barely detectable warm to the touch. Operates ok on stock to mild overclocks. Consider my stock temps have been in the higher 30's. And effectively, it is Incredibly quite.

Fantastic Heat reduction, Appears excellent, commonly simple install (a small various, it has 3 parts that link together) decent price for a higher end heatsink. the only thing, and it's not sufficient to drop an egg is it's size, I had to bend the side of my case prior to sliding it on.aside from that it's treated me quite nicely. I bought this mainly because I have an AMD Phenom Black two.five quad and if I had been to render a video or play a graphics intensive game my laptop would overheat and reboot. turns out the amd stock heatsink did a terrible job at maintaining it cool, I bought this and it dropped about 24 degrees on idle, and about 30-35 degree difference at a full load. make certain you grab some arctic silver, and make sure your case is big sufficient.

My room does run at a temp of normally 70 F. This is a wonderful CPU cooler and I would advocate it to every person. The bracket clip is somewhat of a discomfort and be careful, this thing is sharp, besides these cons even though, it COOLS great! Some individuals have complained about this not be cooling quite nicely, but I just think that perhaps they either didnt use artic silver 5 or they may well not have fantastic speak to with their processor. It could also be the truth that their area runs really hot. This is a wonderful cooler to OC with, but you want to watch your temps usually and make certain your ambient temp is a fantastic 60F-70F at all instances if you choose to OC your CPU.
