Straightforward set up. Quiet. Did not fit snugly to CPU. Could not close the side of the media case I constructed the method in.

Basic install. Quiet. Didn't lower temps considerably from stock. Idle 37 Load 65 Prime95 72 (I was scared when I saw it go up this higher.)Was told to reseat it when I had these sorts of temperatures. Reseating did lessen temperatures by 1-three degrees. My old CNPS9700 lga 775 rig was quieter with reduced temperatures when overclocked. Pushpins produced installation a breeze. A cooler I would recommend to any person who desires something greater than stock but won't be heavily overclocking.

not major as other people say. silent. easy set up. anybody else ahving trouble with bracket not setting on to a 1155 mobo? im using biostar h67+ and installed this hsf, getting 60C (obviously its not producing speak to).do the brackets need to have to be at the top rated and bottom? or the left and appropriate? directions werent clear but it appears the brackets on the sides cant go down far sufficient due to nearby compacitors next to CPU socket. not sure if my troubles are hsf precise or mobo distinct, my stock intel HSF doesnt have this difficulty.i will engage set up once more later nowadays and transform brackets to leading and bottom (leaving fans facing up or down?) this cant be proper.will most likely return if no resolution supplied from newegg soon.

Fantastic top quality at a fair price. Fits on 1155 motherboards. None. Properly, I'm not thrilled with the entire fan mounting process. But that I guess is Intel's style. Make sure you have the board sitting on the case stand offs prior to pushing in the plastic retaining pins/clips. I didn't have an concern with this make. Got this sitting on top of an I7-2600K, and have it moderately overclocked to four GHz. Running Prime95 get temps up to 67 C, but I also am not running ANY case fans. So I'm pleased to have a fairly however quick technique.

It cools adequately. Slim, no interference w/ other elements. The heat sink is truly nice if you dump the fan. Noisy. But I'm a quiet nut so perhaps not a difficulty for others. Fan pops off quickly. Replaced w/ a 120mm Gelid PWM. Got some 16 ga aluminum wire and hung fan on a diagonal. Outcome is extremely low RPM moves a lot of air and also cools surrounding location incl. n.bridge and back of graphics card.

-SilentThe fan is about as close to silent as you could hope for. If you need to sleep in the identical room as your Computer, you must think about this.-Efficient design, with a strong copper base.Stock Cooler ࿉c idle) ࿞c load)Silent 1156 ࿁c idle) ࿑c load) -Extremely low cost push-pins. No exactly where near the excellent of the Intel stock fan in terms of ease of installation. You can take an Intel stock fan off/on all day and not be concerned. Some critical buyers remorse is setting in. :( I have a horrible feeling it's gonna fall off any second. This seriously is a a single shot deal. If you screw up, you will bend the living daylights out of the cheap push-pins.Hopefully a v.2 will be coming soon. Manufacturer Response:Dear Greg,Thank you for your feedback. If the push-pin that you have is no longer usable, please speak to Thermaltake Buyer Service and we'll send you a replacement clip. Even so, following confirming with Engineering group, the push-pins utilized on all of Thermaltake's Intel cooler are the precise similar ones identified on Intel's box coolers. There is only one authorized manufacturer for the push-pins.Please feel cost-free to make contact with Thermaltake Custome Service must you have any other questions.Thermaltake Customer Service

Low price, and reasonably straightforward set up. I have no noise. I have not yet attempted to modify the fan speed to boost the cooling, so I do not know if it gets noisy like some of these reviewers have experienced. The simplicity of the fastening pins is good so you don't have to set up any brackets like with some of the greater end coolers I've seen. This is a truly great straight-forward cooler for a person who isn't looking to OC hardcore but just seeking for strong overall performance enhance without having a extremely complicated set up operation or large cost tag. set up took some precision, but was not complicated- I am never really confident if I have it on securely. Putting it into the system needed some quite careful alignment followed by manipulating the pins with the other hand. The fastening pins are the similar as on the stock for the i7-860 I have. 4 out of five because it is a spending budget cooler, and did the job I necessary- I got it due to the fact the stock cooler was just performing horribly when I tried to clock my ram at 2000, unusably negative. I read that the i7s run incredibly hot and especially raise with greater efficiency memory because memory controller is in the CPU.I was idling at 38ish clocked at 1333, loading up to about 67. When I clocked at 1600 i would get to idling at 45 and load up to 75. My temps would literally climb to the 90s virtually right away when I attempted to clock the memory up to specification of 2000. Now, with this cooler, I observed idling at 30 at first boot at lowest settings. I've clocked the ram up to 2000 and idle at 40, load under prime95 blend test requires it up to 65, and moves up and down from there to 72ish. very nice. Basically, installing this cooler resolved all heat problems I was experiencing just as I had hoped. Incredibly satisfied

Consistently ten - 15C reduce than stock on my i7-860. Not poor for ฮ. The pin bracket assembly is a neat notion, but had a challenging time being aware of when it was snapped in securely...wobbles a bit, but know it is in because of the temps I am acquiring You want 100% silence, go get a water cooler.

Excellent cooler... Was able to overclock my i5-660 to over 4ghz with it. Enormous. Seriously shocked me taking it out of the box. It's significantly bigger than it appears in the photos. The reviewer who said this thing was smaller requirements to get his eyes checked. It's large!

It's quiet, and it keeps the processor cool--basically the ambient temperature at idle. My Core i7-860 at stock speeds only reaches 55 C even running Prime95. Below a lot more realistic loads, it's substantially cooler however. That leaves a lot of room for a moderate overclock. I had an awful time attempting to get the pins to stay in spot when mounting the heatsink. Pushing on two pins at after as the instructions described isn't enough, at least not with out pushing tough sufficient that I'd fear breaking the motherboard. Twisting the pins back and forth whilst pushing (which the instructions don't mention) finally worked with far more moderate amounts of force. The picture on the directions does advise an orientation that would make the fan blow air toward the back of the case, contrary to what another assessment mentioned.

Installation was uncomplicated with the clips. Comprehensive installation kit such as generous amount of paste. I have to say I genuinely didn't realize any far better overall performance than the Intel stock cooler with my ASUS P55D saying through peak usage it could hit 70 degrees. I have now given up and ordered a new mounting kit and went back to my Thermalright cpu cooler and it has dropped 12-14 degrees at peak from this cooler. Good if you want comfort of installation (surface mount, no back plate expected so you don't have to take your motherboard out). However, if you are pondering that it is going to drop your CPU temperatures substantially, this is not the suitable cooler for you.

Cools my Lynnfield two.66ghz i5 processors to 31 idle and 47 at complete load. Properly worth the dollars spent. Installation is specifically the exact same was Intel retail heat sink. Want they could've told you that you must attempt make confident the air flow is flowing to the back of the chassis for greater cooling. This is a side flow fan, and you can quite substantially turn the heat sink fan in any direction. So make positive you position the cooler so air flows to the back of the chassis. Most situations right now has rear exhaust fan and can enable you move heat out of the case faster for greater cooling.

Keeps temps about 40's, did a anxiety test and temps went high as expected and kept lower and for a longer time, all round way much better then stock i5 760 heatsink. NONE so far, except for the wiggly snaps but it wasn't as well tough to set up as other folks have pointed out. Make confident it fits in your case as it is bulky.

Well developed, higher top quality, highly rated, and economical for a higher finish cooler. None This lovely cooler doesn't function in my fancy Lian-Li case simply because the placement of the power provide blocks it. Be particular you check your mobo and case ahead of you spot your order. I'll save mine for some future construct and write this one off to experience. Free of charge shipping and it arrived the subsequent day.

All copper base with copper heat-pipe to transfer it to the fins; TONS of surface location to displace heat; Good air flow; somewhat quiet; strong-constructed; comes with sufficient thermal compound for about 2 applications; and simple to assemble. My I7-860 shows only 109F soon after about 10 min of benchmarks. It's pretty massive and heavy. I don't feel it would snap off the socket unless the Pc was dropped a couple feet although. Almost certainly couldn't get anything greater for the value.

-Functions well-Not so major-Extremely uncomplicated to assemble-fantastic for 1st-timers-cools effectively for what it costs -only OK cooling, don't anticipate to do any CRAZY OCs with this fan. I'd advocate it to somebody who wants either swappable CPUs, or operating a MILD OC.-the integrated thermal paste.... just get arctic five already It keeps my i7 870 bellow 35 at all times

top good quality copper heat sink with good fan/low noise. the fan power cable is safe not like what the other testimonials say. plastic pins to snap on the fan with brackets. there is a major removable tag on the energy cable which can get in the way of the fan. if you remove this cable, you void the warranty. this cpu cooler would of been a extremely good item if it was not for the snap on fan brackets. i had to apply lots of force to get in the last 1. i was worried about breaking the mobo

Its silent as advertised. Had no concerns with the push-pins through installation. Almost everything went smoothly. Overclocked a Xeon X3440 to three.3Ghz but the 92mm fan does not push adequate air across the heatsinks to keep temps beneath 85C 100% load on Linx. Type of a disappointment thinking about three.3Ghz is such a modest overclock.I'm not hunting for larger speed, but I would adore to have seen temps in the 70C - 75C variety max load. Now I have to obtain a numerous cooler, even even though this ones heatsink is just fine. The fan is as well smaller. Would never invest in this fan/cooler combo once more. Core i7's run as well hot with such a modest 92mm fan. And before anybody tells me "well you were overclocking", its tremendously general information by now that i7's were produced to be pushed and clocked higher than stock two.53 Ghz. Come on, don't even joke about that.

This performs relatively properly on my Intel i5 more than the stock cooler. I attempted overclocking on a stock cooler which was in a position to get it to three.2GHz and the temp reaches 98oC when I strain test it with Prime95 (it would get to a higher temp if I don't quit Prime95). 99oC is the limit for the i5.Right after installing this cooler, my temp drop to around 75oC on the exact same configuration. I further overclocked my i5 to 3.8GHz with Ʈ.08v and the temp remain about 96oC on strain test, which I'm content with since even the most demanding applications and games only push the CPU to about 85oC. Not significantly bad to say other than it's not silent at full speed even though I don't expect it to be. It's virtually silent when CPU is idling or at mid-load.

Very first Develop, and it worked effectively, when i read the installation directions (attach cooler to bracket Just before mounting brackets to mobo). operating on a i7-875k, keeps factors cool, went from a base multiplier of 22 up to 31 and am still running about 27-29 degrees (once the thermal compound set). its a lil loud compared to the rest of my setup, it's in competition with my graphics card fan. The push pins had been a tiny iffy the second go about but they are holding up. It isn't particularly aesthetically pleasing and its huge but it does what its supposed to very effectively
