I've been very happy with this particular printer thus far. I've migrated from a Lexmark X6170 inkset multifunction printer to this one and although I miss the document feeder on that printer, the convenience of a network capable printer far outweighs that loss. I don't have to worry about drying and clogged heads in inkjets any longer.The other thing that I've noticed is that its use seems to cause my APC UPS's on the same circuit to jump. While it's in use, it seems to chew up about 700 watts of power for a few moments to warm up and then drop  down to somewhere in the tens of watts in standby mode. Before it reaches sleep mode about 5 minutes later, every minute, the printer uses 700 watts for a second or two to keep it ready to print and causes the UPS's to jump. A minor inconvenience, but not enough to return the printer.The print quality itself is very good. I've noticed that it's more on the matte side compared to a commercial grade HP printer that I've used at work.All in all, for the price that I paid, it's good value multifunctional laser printer and I would buy it again if I had the choice. If the document feeder (plus fax function which I would not need) wasn't a good $70 more (CLX-3185FN), I would have gotten that one instead.

This is a perfectly reasonable colour laser printer, and is unbeatable for the price. Good quality output, and scanning is easy, if you only need to scan one sheet. But with no paper feed for scanning or copying, there are limits. And paper output is fine for a few sheets, but isn't up to a 50 page whitepaper. On the other hand, for $199 on sale? Quite good.

I was considering the Samsung CLX-3175N, ever since the movers wrecked my HP Color LaserJet 2600n by spilling Pepsi in it during their break. The problem with the CLX-3175N though is the fine print on their site. Good OS support for the printer side of things, but very little in the way of scanner support. This is why I bought the CLX-3185N when it came out, after carefully comparing the two models.I can do almost everything on my Windows 7 64-Bit system via the network, except use the scan assistant to preview/scan documents. The computer my wife is using, which is running Windows XP SP3 32-Bit for now, has no problems at all operating all printer and scanner functions via the network. Since all of the network enabled printer/scanner combo units by Samsung use the same software as far as I'm aware, you would do well to heed this warning if you are running a newer operating system.Final analysis? I would buy this model again, but only if they update  their networking drivers.
