Cons: - Can't scan at more than 300 dpi from printer (to email or usb)- A bit big, but that's just me!- Extra drivers should be free software and integrated

This is a very good multifunctional color laser printer. Warms up in roughly 15 seconds from sleep and can print up to 18ppm. Wireless printing is a bit unreliable, especially when waking up from sleep mode, often giving a SPL/PCL error due to incomplete transmission of data. Usually requires manually restarting the printer, which defeats the purpose of wireless printing. Otherwise, this is a very good all-in-one for those in a small office. |

Cons: Heavy, big, wish it had a legal tray. lost network connection a few times when scanning to PC

Bought this for a small 4 user office. Easy set up for the network pretty much set itself up once software installed on pc's. the android smartphone wireless connection is awesome. Find it goes into sleep mode to quickly maybe a setting to fix this but haven't looked yet. had lost connection a few times when scanning to pc had to restart pc then had connection back. the print quality is very good and prints quickly once it is out of sleep mode. coping is also great. got this at boxing week sale for 269.99, shipping was expensive but all in all this is a great printer. wish I bought one for home also at the sale price. |
After having it setuped to send scans via email, I realized I didn't even have to install any drivers!Printer was discovered from the network and install was clicking "ok" twice, hooray for how simple Linux is.So setup is super easy and it supports basically anything you can throw at it...I've got it setuped to send me scans over e-mail via IPv6!The only weird thing is that you can't get it to scan at higher than 300 dpi from the printer and you're supposed to go to 1200dpi. Not a big deal day to day and I'm sure that can be fixed by installing their drivers, something I haven't bothered with as I'm guessing they are closed source blobs that won't be maintained and integrated properly on all the distros.Anyway, only did a quick test and all but it seems like a solid printer when it's in special at basically the same price as the CLX-3305FW
