This memory has the proper speed needed for the cost. Preforms as SPEC'd. The clamps that hold the fan in place aren't incredibly rigid, and comes within a papers width away from my video card (EVGA GTX295). Even so, it did match. Had to adjust the CAS settings and voltage in BIOS to achieve SPEC'd preformance, but no biggie. The biggest bennefit is that it functions fantastic with my Intel QX9650 CPU and Intel mobo.

Effectively this is RAM so don't count on a lot of Pros. They operate nicely with my Crosshair IV Formula, even although Asus doesn't list them. I get the full 8 Gigs. Not 7.899... so this is a plus. The timings are unreal. Even though I got them even lower at 6-6-6-20 and did it at stock voltage. They manage every little thing my Win 7 64bit and I can throw at them. Come with a nice fan cooler as properly. Quad Channel anybody? They aren't volted @ 1.6 as advertised. Much more like 1.5010v. Not worth dropping any eggs but it should at least be mentioned. Their accepted 1.6v spec is technically much less in actual globe application. I can't say that just about every set is this way. Only that my set is. They can't make the beer run even when I'm acquiring. lol Those 6-6-6-20 timings were on stock voltage. Which makes them all the additional wonderful in my book. I was thinking about a different brand as these had been far more high priced but when I looked at what I was obtaining it wasn't a difficult decision for me. I could not have my total Quad offered. But when I get into Bulldozer a year from now that will enable me to transition over without shifting RAM. Which is a double win in my favor. Just wish that Corsair and Newegg would get together to sell Dominator Heatsink tops. I have to get a stock set of GT tops employed so I can preserve my color scheme reasonably the same. Red and Black MoBo and Red and Black accents inside my 932.If you're on the fence about these? GET THEM you will not be sorry.

I tried burning a CD ripping a movie and playing an MMO and I cant make the laptop or computer skip a beat. This is although utilizing a quad-core AMD 965 black edition. None what so ever. The fan assembly unfortunatly didnt fit in my situation due to the place of the HDD. If you strategy on useing this be aware that the heatsink on the chips is slightly higher than normal chips. Add the fan and it sits about 1.25 inches larger than a standard chipset, at least the ones I've been making use of. I'd like to feel it would worked good. Clearly this was not the products fault so I didnt deduct an egg.

Good RAM this is the most ram i have ever had, for the previous couple years i been operating 1-2 gigs jumping to 8 tends to make a major distinction! Verify your motherboard to make positive it has the memory latches on each sides, or the fan accessory will not work. for instance the MSI 890FXA-GD70 AM3 AMD 890FX wont function with the fan :(

Does what it's built to do, and does it nicely. Threw this in my new gaming rig with an Intel i7 two.8ghz quad core processor (which was bundled with the memory) and a EVGA nVidia GTX 260 896mb video card, and the mixture runs StarCraft II on Ultra settings without even the slightest hiccup. The ram is a small tall with the heatsinks, even a lot more so with the cooling fan add-on. This triggered a slight difficulty with my Arctic Cooler cpu cooling tower on my EVGA P55 motherboard, as the memory slots are appropriate next to the cpu slot. I made the mistake of installing my cpu and the cooling tower 1st, then attempting to put in the memory, which wouldn't fit due to the cooling tower's fan. I had to alter the direction of the fan on the cooling tower, then install the memory.I originally had the cooling fans on the memory, but they were rather loud and it pressed suitable up against my cpu cooling tower, and in my Antec 1200 case they had been seriously unnecessary, so I removed them. Cool idea though. Rapid and reputable memory at a decent value, came bundled with the i7 quad core I got. If you don't care about noise and are worried about case heat, you can go with the cooling fan add-on, but if not don't bother with it.

Comes with a fan to preserve the memory cool. Very first time I've noticed that. The fan also snaps on easily, and feels quite solid. It connects to my motherboard through a three pin connector. I couldn't even get the pc to POST when I initial tried it.I pulled all four sticks, and tried them a single at a time. It quickly started working with the 2nd stick. So I figured that I had one particular negative stick. However, I tried it with all four as a test, and it functions now.It's probable that I didn't have the issue stick all the way snapped in, but I'm pretty certain that I had it correct. I tend to think that this memory and/or the Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H is finicky together. If you're getting difficulties, I advise reseating the memory.
