I require some thing modest to carry around with my capacity-limited SSD netbook. This does the job. 16GB just doubled the capacity. Somewhat slower than my other USB flashes.

little and transportable. quick enough. retractable and sturdy. no case/protector necessary Only a single...since the connector is retractable and doesn't lock in location effectively...you will have a hard time inserting it into a usb slot. Will need a lot of patience to stick it in the usb slot...and g*d forbid that it's in a tough to attain area or next to some overloaded usb slots.

Amazing device, excellent read / create speed doing fine as a persistent BackTrack linux set up while also lugging about any information, such as HD movies, that I wish to have on my individual at all instances. I've not boiled it in water however, but I realize it holds up to that level of punishment, and that tends to make it the perfect device for me. It's size is about the same as your intermediate to distal phalanges on your thumb, and about the similar height. You can place it in the incorrect way round in the USB port. Nonetheless, this causes no harm, and you will get employed to what way it's meant to be placed. I comprehend they also did this to save space, and I have to agree that it was a great decision. Wonderful tiny thumb drive. Would recommend it to anyone.

Something above 8 GB in flash generally requires forever. Well, forever depends on what you want out of a card. This piece is incredibly modest, slim, and performs. With the 16GB card, I'm getting speeds up to a gig per half hour. For some, that's slow. But for standard use, that's fairly good. Smaller files move incredibly speedily, and I manage to get 500 MB in about 5-15 minutes depending on the files... and I have had no troubles at all. Really worthwhile. I could argue that the usb doesn't click into spot when it's totally extended so you have to fuss with it, and it's feasible to put the usb piece in backwards as it doesn't have external metal, but neither of them are anyplace Near a explanation not to personal one. I highly recommend this product. Very best for its value, very best for its kind. Acquire it. You'll appreciate it. I really like mine.

Tiny. Fits in BMW's armrest-mounted USB slot for onboard mp3 player devoid of needing an adapter cable.Quickly study. Average 29.41 MB/sec read in a barrage of tests.Tough. I had 1 mounted in my car or truck for 8 months before upgrading to the 64 GB GTR model (which I now will need an adapter cable in order to use--the Mini fit devoid of needing 1). Relatively slow create. Typical 8.25 MB/sec create in a barrage of tests. This is not a con if you're making use of this in a vehicle since you only load data onto it every single few months; the rest of the time you're just reading. Speed is about comparable to Corsair's standard thumb drives (the blue non-GT, non-GTR models). For what it is it is great. I won't dock any eggs because of the create speed; it was never ever advertised as lightning rapidly.I wish Corsair would come out with a Mini GTR model, although...

Drive appears to operate fine It only formats to 15.05 which seems deceptive. Virtually painfully slow compared to my Patriot USB drive. I didn't anticipate super speed but I'm disappointed. They want to list it as a 15gb drive Manufacturer Response:Please try the formatting choices in our troubleshooting section of the Corsair forum, linked under. If you think the drive is defective, we'll replace it.External Hyperlink(s): Corsair Forum Flash Section|

Smaller footprint, high capacity. Tiny "switch" that pushes out the drive breaks. I've owned two and each have broken in the initially 60 days. I use a tiny wad of paper to hold the drive in now that the "switch" is broken. Works ok but this is truly frustrating. My 1st drive had each the "switch" and the drive itself die. Corsair replaced it with small hassle only to have the second 1 break too...

I applied it for my car cd player. It has a USB port so I put about 100 cd's worth of music on it and put it in my vehicle and I'm excellent to go for months. It must fit about 200 cd's worth of music. Transfer rate seems slow, but I'm not sure how slow it really is mainly because I have nothing to evaluate it to.

1)My corporation paid for it so I didn't waste my personal cash.2)Large capacity3)Small4)Looks very good The pros don't matter when you can't even plug it into a USB slot without having fantastic difficulty. I normally place my thumb drive on my keys, but this issue will snap in half from the weight of my keys hanging down. Very poor style. No LED, just low cost and not up to common Corsair top quality. I am seriously amazed they released this item. Yes it can be formatted to NTFS. That is only if you are in a position to plug it in although.

I have had this tiny USB driver for at least six months and it has held up effectively. I had 2 other brands ahead of this and they broke. I constantly maintain 1 on my keychain and it requirements to be in a position to take the abuse of placing keys in and out of my pocket. The other two broke within a week. This unit has a rubber outer coating and the place where it attches flexes. The other units I had had been tricky plastic and would break under stress. This is an amazing small unit!! Like another evaluation stated, it can be placed backwards in a USB port. But, if it had guides, it wouldn't be as smaller.

Very good price tag, Little It is occasionally a hassle to plug in and you gotta be cautious and match up the connectors... Also for older computer systems it may well not operate, I know It didnt for my old comp. Easy to loose Located this infant in Best Buys parking lot. didnt know what was in it or how considerably storage it had. I ultimately found it once again after finding my new personal computer and had nothing in it and was extremely impressed with its 15Gb compared to my old 2gb.

Rapidly little flash drive with clearly plenty of storage space. Definately valuable when moving significant amounts of data. For the funds I would very advocate getting one if you don't have a single currently. Acceptable transfer speeds Does not have some kind of external light to indicate drive activity. The USB slide out tip does not lock in location when tracked out. I would have given this five eggs if Corsair had added an LED drive activity light on the flash drive. I just think it's such a beneficial point to have to glance at when checking to see if you flash drive is carried out transfering from across the space.

Clearly the problem is lack of frequent sense on the element of some users, not the product. CORSAIR demands to provide a frequent sense firmware upgrade for some customers.

Read quick, stabilized at 20+MBps for massive files, and 13MBps for smaller files Writing is really slow, three-6MBps.The connection with USB port is fragile - there is not metal hold outside the connecting chip - a slight external force will crash the drive. My SanDisk Cruzer and Kingston Diesel were stolen together in my office, needing a USB driver urgently, I bought this 1. I am rather disappointed with the slow writing speed. Initially writing speed is about two-3MBps - that's unacceptable for a corsair drive. In a random case (I want to transfer a ɰGB file), I formatted the drive with NTFS (was FAT-32 just before) - the writing speed increased to 5-6MBps. Nevertheless this is slow, each Cruzer and Diesel gives me 10MBps writing on random access (large amount of tiny files).

This drive worked correct away and come formatted FAT32 which for me is what i wanted. It plugged right in and was recognized by each of my pcs and my Panasonic DVD player appropriate away. Drive appears responsive and rapidly to me. I recommended this to all i know and any individual in the market for a flash drive. I mean at just more than 1$ per gig and free of charge shipping you wont uncover a far better deal on a drive of this size. The only issue i don't seriously like is how smaller it truly is. I can see me loosing this issue in the future. Thats not a knock on the drive its my fault LOL. The slide component does seem a bit flimsy but if it acts up ill In all probability glue it in the out position and it will help with the size and loosing it factor anyways. Good quick drive and fantastic deal threw new egg as usual.

Little, low cost, no cap The device arrived and seemed to be a best little drive. Not 4 days after I started typical use of the device it spontaneously got Very hot when I plugged it into any USB port. The drive was then inaccessible and entirely destroyed. As I am an artist and often transport massive files, I was upset to have operating files lost forever. I am usually very loyal to Corsair, but after this complete failure, I will not be purchasing an additional of their goods for some time. This was a Really disappointing buy, which has impacted my workflow.

tiny, no cap Because there is no metal shell around the USB contacts, any pressure on the case causes it to lose connection to the Pc. I was organizing on hanging this on my keychain, but that is out of the question. Useless to me, but if you want to plug it in--and don't get anywhere close to it--the unit may well be fine. Oops. Now I see this is not returnable. I guess next time if there is any question about how well something will function I'll need to get it locally where there is a additional understanding return policy.

-1 of the smallest flash drives you can get-Retractable connector implies no caps to shed-Rubber casing makes it quite durable-Enormous capacity -No LED indicator-Only typical read/write speeds It comes in a really standard package with no additional computer software (unlike SanDisk drives). However, this makes it a extremely reasonably priced drive. The read/write speeds are fairly common among my other flash drives, I wouldn't call it slow or quickly. Also, the size is so smaller that I at times lose it amongst the clutter on my desk. That's not actually a negative since the size and durability make it best for my keychain.

Smaller, massive capacity, quick sufficient (read ㅛMB/sec, write ӲMB/sec), and appears insulated well sufficient against daily abuse. Retraction mechanism is smooth and straightforward, but it would be good if it were on the top (so you could use your thumb). The rubber loop that you would use to attach it to a keyring isn't reinforced, so it appears like it might break quickly.

1. Tiny2. Price 1. Retractable plug can be inserted incorrectly very quickly (i.e. wrong side up). No tactile distinction among proper-side-up and wrong-side-uptwo. Retractable plug does not lock into location, producing it impossible to insert subsequent to existing USB device - you must remove the present device, plug in the Corsair, and then reinsert exiting device. Not generally possible.three. Wide enough that it made it difficult to insert one more (thin) USB device into the slot subsequent to itfour. Looks cheesy.five. Not as quick as I expected Flash memory readers ought to be a source of excellent joy in life rather than a source of frustration.

Size and Price Construction, thumb extender to get the plug in out doesnt lock into place so you have to hold it out to actually plug it in.Doesn't really feel incredibly sturdy like regular thumb drives. Not advised!! Stick with a regular thumb drive of standard size, capacity is good but it is fat 32 so you cant actually shop or copy files bigger then 2gb at a time, fantastic if you have a ton of smaller stuff but unusable for massive files Manufacturer Response:You basically need to have to reformat to a various file system if you are not pleased with the FAT32 included on the drive. We ship with FAT32 for greatest ease of use and compatibility.

This thing is tiny! I have it on my keychain and use it to bring files house from work or to copy files when I am at friend's home. No cap to lose either - the usb contacts slide in and out. When you slide the contacts out to plug into a usb port, it locks in place so that it can be quickly inserted into the port. None definitely. priced just slightly greater than some of the other usb drives with the similar capacity but the tiny form factor is totally worth the additional funds. I had the 4GB version of this drive for various years and it worked flawlessly so I decided to get the 16GB version due to the fact I required a higher capacity. This is a definitely fantastic product - dispense with those big & bulky usb drives and get one of these.
