great packaging, the one that worked was solid and not super-loud either one particular arrived DOA, so 3.5 eggs, as QA ought to've caught a completely dead unit I just about exclusively stick with Antec PSUs, but I purchased two of these since of the Corsair name and the rebate. I purchased 2 and a single tested out fantastic, the other was DOA. Waiting on RMA to see if Corsair gets 1 for three or two for three. If the subsequent a single's dead, I'll update my critique to 2 eggs from 4. |

Low-cost price soon after rebateGood searching PSU with black finish and sleeved cablesQuiet Far more like a 380w PSU. Only 28 amps on the 12v+, comparable units have 32 or superior. 28 amp 12v+ are commonly identified on 380-400w PSU's. Although this is nevertheless a good PSU, Corsair decided to affordable out on their replacement for the CX400. This is not an 80+ "Certified" PSU, but does have > 80% efficiency, so either not tested or just barely failed.I also discover it odd that the PCI-e 6 pin has a adapter to make it an eight pin, but no way would this power any GPU that needs a six pin and 8 pin plug.If you can get it for ฤ or significantly less immediately after rebate and are not operating really higher end program, it is a truly good deal. |

Heavy, braided cables, enjoy the black finish, reliable power. Looongish cables, and rebates. This one is worth the rebate hassle, great deal and rocking a 贶 AMD x2 255 super price range develop, low-cost computer's are entertaining to create also!I want a different for the shelf. |

Quiet fan, sleeved cables, really lengthy cables. P/S does what it is supposed to - quietly and efficiently. Snagged it for forty with twenty MIR. Rebate is an on the internet submission, and already shows accepted. Mfr says this P/S is higher than 80% efficient, but doesn't list a Bronze rating. Why? This makes no sense in light of the target (PC enthusiast) marketplace. I'm taking into consideration other choices until they rectify this. |

runs really really quiet, comes with a lot more pins and connectors than necessary, even has pci-e video card hookup. it has the higher amps on the 12v rail which is necessary for these kick-hot vid cards... very nice, cables are quickly lengthy sufficient, and it is really aesthetic in case you want to show off the inside of your personal computer to your girlfriend. who, like mine, could care less. I'm stretching right here, due to the fact I assume it is one particular of the nicest PSU's for the price, but I want it came with a couple of three-pin jumper connections simply because my micro board only has 1. gotta devote dollars on adapters. also, unrelated... the video card I bought this PSU for (Nvidia 8800 gts i had laying around) is burned up. test, then purchase ! lol |

It worked; powered the technique, and at a cheap cost. The fan in it makes a extremely loud rattle sound. It's the kind of noise that isn't extremely loud but seriously stands out since of the distinctive rattle sound. This was a disappointment thinking about Corsair is generally one particular of the quietest brands of power supplies - but then each and every other one of theirs I've owned has cost many instances the price of this a single. |

See below See below Newegg admins please forgive this non-overview, there's no way for customers to enter a ticket for this item by way of Corsair support as suggested by Yellowbeard as their site drop-down menus don't list the CX430 PSU as a valid item. Please take into account this a Newegg consumer service post.-Motherboards employed had been brand-new Asus P7P55 LX units, at present functioning completely -Unsaved BIOS setting situation employing the CX430 was reliably reproducable across units-As a suggests of ruling out motherboard challenges, CMOS batteries had been changed (to no impact), and a boot and BIOS adjustment test was produced with an X-series Seasonic PSU--which exhibited quite regular BIOS operation.-Replacing the CX430 PSUs with a decrease-wattage third-party supply quickly rectified the BIOS settings situation. -Systems were redeployed utilizing CX400 PSUs without further challenge.I recognize that a PSU ought to have absolutely nothing to do with the CMOS/BIOS settings, but the PSU was inexplicably the culprit--across numerous PCs. |

Pulled it outta the box installed I'm not certain what was broken but it didn't work at all. Really like Corsair, have under no circumstances had a poor solution from them till this one particular. PriceNicely wrapped cablesNewegg's Return Policy The unit I purchased overheated causing the program to reboot at random intervals. Corsair has a three week turn about time on warranty merchandise if you reside on the East Coast. I actually never take the time to create critiques, simply because the majority of the solutions I buy actually function the way they're supposed to. While Corsair is in all probability nevertheless a superior manufacturer of PSU's, this unit is garbage. The writing may well not be on the wall, but it's undoubtedly all more than the web. See for yourself. Manufacturer Response:We are sorry you got what appears to be a faulty PSU. We'll be glad to replace. And, there are no trustworthy reports of this PSU getting "garbage" anywhere on the web. Please refer to the www.jonnyguru.com website for an independent critique if you reputable facts on this PSU. It scored very nicely there. |

* Bought for significantly less than ฤ soon after rebate (Corsair rebates look greater managed than most).* Decent ratings in-depth testimonials on Hardware Secrets and jonnyGURU* Close to 80+ efficiency with great ripple suppression and acceptable voltage regulation * The connectors on the cable with the four-pin Molex connectors are spaced as well closely.* I would have preferred yet another four-pin Molex connector at the end of that cable rather than the floppy drive power connector. I've purchased two of these in the final handful of months. I just replaced an FSP bluestorm and the idle power usage was lowered by 15 watts according (per a P4400).No they are not comparable in good quality to the 450vx or a good Seasonic, but if you can get them for a third of the price they are an outstanding bargain. You can't actually beat these for the price. Immediately after rebate, they are constructed significantly far better than anything else in the price tag variety.Nonetheless if you are obtaining this for a mid to higher end gaming method you need to spend a bit much more (suggest the TX series or above). |

Its a rather low cost energy supply with the Corsair name on it. It works. I use it for low energy requirement systems. E6700, on board video. Perfect for an workplace program, or a basic residential technique. I've been making use of these decrease finish power supplies, and they operate as intended. The "Powered by Corsair" emblem is a good touch for this low cost power supply. Black case screws and wire ties, which you require due to the fact you don't use all of the wires. No want for the fancy pull-string bag! Useless immediately after that fact. Folks complaining it can't deal with your technique; maybe you bought the incorrect power provide? Stop beating up corsair for your lack of information! |

For the price, this PSU is one of the greatest hands down. I have applied numerous CX430s in budget builds and have not had any problems. This PSU will power virtually all workplace PCs that don't have a dedicated GPU and will even power price range gaming builds (ie 5770 + Athlon II X4). I would have preferred 30-35A on the ი, but then again, this *is* a budget PSU. Not positive why a lot of individuals are having difficulties with this, but I'm guessing these individuals are either overloading this PSU (ie by operating OCed i7 + 6970) or have messed up the installations of other components. I have utilized numerous CX430s so far and they are all working fine. |

NONE other than the appearance and cable lengths Every thing...other than the above pointed out. I work for a computer shop, we make computers. The Corsair 400w that was discontinued was a fantastic PSU. This power supply is GARBAGE! Initial it is slightly bigger than a standard power provide so you have to take the stickers off to match it in the case. Second there is a audible buzzing. Third this power provide completely does not work with the Intel DG41AN mini ITX board. I spent hours upon hours attempting to figure out ehy the computer systems we develop making use of the Lian Li case, intel E5500, and DDR3 Gskill RAM on the Intel DG41AN motherboard would not shut down. Yes, the computer's cpu fan would nevertheless run and the tough drive light remained on after shutting the pc off. This was a difficulty with all 3-4 CX430 PSU's we used. Right after finally attempting a various PSU the personal computer shut down effectively. This PSU is GARBAGE! Go back to creating quality PSU's Corsair. We will no longer be buying your power supplies. We order 100+ PSU's a year. All of these PSU's are Corsair. We will no longer be ordering Corsair PSU's till Corsair returns to generating excellent itemsCorsair does make a high top quality 550w PSU and 650W PSU. Keep away from the builders series, particularly the CX430W PSU Manufacturer Response:Primarily based on excellent independent product testimonials and buyer feedback, your expertise with the CXX430 is odd. Please speak to our Consumer Service or Technical Help. We'd like to assist you with the DG41AN challenge and any other complaints.External Link(s): Corsair Contact Page| |

Hilariously low-cost soon after rebate. A lot of hookups (more than I need for certain) and sleeved cables. Looks good, which is of course super important for anything that most by no means truly appear at after it's installed. Comes with a energy cord. Wasn't totally free. Didn't "bench test" so I was needlessly worried it was DOA (see under). Recognize of course that this isn't an suitable PSU if you're going to want to load the h-e-double-hockey-sticks out of it, but for my purposes it was best... In reality jump-started the project that ended in my new DIY machine, my initial. When I received it I didn't have a lot to plug it into, but I wanted to test my case fans and was disappointed when it didn't power up. I tried the famous "paperclip test" and with case fans plugged into the molex connectors and it was entirely dead... So there was some anxiety till I got it plugged into a mobo and then found it spun up just fine. So just let that be a lesson to you, it may possibly not paperclip if you are making use of that test.Quiet, affordable, nicely completed, extended cables, meets the power consumption demands of non-hardcore camers. What's not to love about this thing? Want I'd purchased yet another when they were so affordable. |

Lengthy wires make routing simple. Its also 1 of the quietest PSUs I've ever owned. Long wires can get atouch cluttered in case, and additional wires are not modular, so you can't eliminate them. That was known prior though, and not worth removing an egg. Fantastic supply at a good cost. |

none Broken power supply out of the box. 24 pin power connector has the wires falling out. Right after additional inspection the pin terminal was not totally cripped. The problem with all of this will be the price in shipping this unit back to newegg or the corsair for replacement or refund. At the pricing point of this power provide, the worth goes out the window. I hope Corsair is reading these poor evaluations and taking measures to right ther concerns. I know Corsair spends millions of dollars every year to advertise there items. I personnally have purchased big amounts of there merchandise without any issues. This item does not rate the Corsair name. Recall Essential ram fiasco when they lower there top quality handle for a less expensive chip.I under no circumstances acquire there items at whatever the price, |

Low-cost :), Has all I required for a affordable HTPC. Cables are long with more then I ever will need. Had to split the 8 pin mother board connector to 4 but it functions. I cant hear it running in my HTPC. But my hearings going down hill anyway. hmmm absolutely nothing however. knock on wood,, lol Im utilised to paying 300$ for a power provide. Have two in my other computers. I just necessary a cheap power provide to power a cheap personal computer. I turned the intake fan to the vent on the out side of the case so it gets cold air. My HTPC motherboard runs cool anyway and dosnt want any far more vent fans. I also have a lot of inexpensive functioning power supplys in my attic type old builds I applied to fold on. I hope this one will make it to the attic 1 day and not die. :) |

Good worth, fantastic excellent. Specifically what I was expecting. Absolutely none. Surely not deserving of the unfavorable critiques which are basically immature, knee-jerk reactions to adjustments in Corsair's reduce-end lineup from people today that can\'t see the entire picture, or who haven't even bought 1 and used of these new models but. The item good quality is nevertheless what you count on from Corsair. |

Despite the downsides this nevertheless isn't a undesirable power provide like the generic ones that price only ฤ much less, so for ฤ much more you get a substantially better power supply than a generic power provide that says 600W Energy Supply even believed it is rated 600W for 2 seconds and is about 350W afterwards.Paint finish doesn't have sturdy intoxicating fumes like Rosewill Power SuppliesAll cables are totally sleeved and covered, as opposed to the 430W Rosewill Green Series Energy Supply which is sleeved for the first branch of cables and not sleeved from the second branch.Comes with a velvet bag which the preceding CX400 didn't but the CX400 is 80 Plus which this a single isn't.Comes with a cool Corsair badge which you can decorate your case with so it looks nice with the badge.Comes with cable ties so it has simple cable management.Low cost though on ShellShocker and rebate High quality is no where close to as very good as preceding generation Corsair Power Provide which it replaced, the VX. The VX450 that the CX430 replaced was actually better than the CX430 in just about every way, it has 80 Plus and this doesn't, it has 20W much more energy, it has greater quality and it looks nicer.Actual power output is a bit less than 430WThe old VX looks nicer, has 80 Plus, higher top quality, and much better than the CX which is its successor in each and every way Most businesses tends to make new merchandise that is far better than the previous one particular, Corsair even so, went backwards, mainly because the old VX is actually much better than the new CX.I wish the VX450 was still in production, because that 1 is greater and I would have purchased that as an alternative |

Particularly quiet, great cable length, excellent cable selection. Looks good as well. Blue smoke out of the back soon after about six months. Didn't bother with a warranty claim as it's so affordable, just purchased a different energy provide. It was really fantastic whilst it lasted. This isn't going to stop me from shopping for one more Corsair energy supply, no organization is fantastic. I'm just glad that it didn't take any other hardware out with it. |

It has all the power I need to have for my laptop and it's tiny video card. The wiring is lengthy sufficient for any mid-sized tower. And all of the wiring is all wire meshed covered. The fan on it is very quiet. Although I haven't found 1 yet , I also have only had it for a few weeks now. This would perform fantastic for any HTPC.I gave it five eggs mainly because for what it is, it's the finest bang for your buck.
