Low cost. Functions, sleeved wiring, quiet. Poor internal components make this PSU inexpensive. It's way overpriced even on sale thinking of the internal components utilised to make this PSU. If actually stressed to 380𞷞w I doubt it would actually deal with it. Probably fine for really light rigs with single or dual cores systems and incredibly meager video cards, but not worth risking a quad or far more on, especially if you program on overclocking. Check tech reviews on the internal elements and you'll come across the parts have been skimped on.

Ended up costing me only ฝ.99 with cost-free shipping last week. Bench Tested it as soon as I received it, every little thing was very good. Let it run for a small although just before installing it, could not even inform it was on. Operating on a children personal computer with no issues. I would certainly use this model again on another construct. None as of but. To the individual who mentioned there was no 4 pin ATX connector. There is a fourƲ pin, just require to split them. I applied the 4 pin on my little ones P4 board, so there is one particular.I seriously don't know how they made dollars on me when this deal was out. IT is goes on once more, I will have to get yet another and save it for a future construct.

Operates nicely, adequate to energy Radeon HD 4770 with two 7200 rpm drives on a quite simple motherboard. eight-pin splits to two four-pin connectors, slick mesh around the wires. Not modular, so I had to stuff a ton of cables into my 5.25" expansion bay thereby impeding airflow. The mesh about the wires is smoother and tends to make the wires much easier to deal with than the OCZ ModXStream Pro. My 1st Corsair PSU obtain, and I'm very satisfied. I'm waiting for the rebate and I will attempt to report back later on how that goes.

Casing and sleeved cables make physical look and match and finish eye-catching. Quiet operation with sufficient cables for a standard customer construct. For those working with it in a case exactly where the PSU nonetheless sits up top rated, the 120m fan will likely decrease your case ambient and cpu temperatures a touch. It shaved off 2-3c off idle/load. None so far. This unit took a bit of a step back from the a single it appears to have replaced, the CX400 which was a excellent unit with a 30A 12v, 3yr warranty, 80+ certified and output rating at 40c vs. 28A 12v, 2yr warranty, not 80+ certified and output rating at 30c.Nevertheless, it is nonetheless a decent unit and a fantastic obtain if purchased on sale. For it's intended use in the low finish/budget bracket it is up to job as it more than does the job in my backup program, a stock Pentium D945.

It's 80+ It may possibly not be certified. But the energy efficiency is more than 80% which makes it on par with the ๠ brands. Fairly frankly this is the very best PSU you can obtain at this cost range. It would suggest this or an actual 80+ certified one for about ุ additional which is just equivalent to paying the price of a sticker. Not modular but it wouldn't be for this price tag. None.

1. Inexpensive - I didn't have to invest a lot dollars on a enormous improvement over a factory installed HP PSU. I just wish all rebate procedures would die in a fire. :)two. Reliable - Works on an old Athlon 64 X2 program and will operate on my subsequent rig.three. Sleeved cables - It's no modular style, but it makes the wires look a entire lot much better than these of other low cost PSUs. 1. Initial installation issues - At very first it had problems posting, but following a thorough re-set up the situation vanished. I should have messed up some thing.two. Affordable - I would like for it to have 2 PCIe energy connectors, but can't complain.3. Legacy hardware - The reality that a component sold in 2010 nonetheless supports molex connectors is ridiculous, and only serves as cluttter. For a mid-variety desktop with a single video card, I think this PSU serves its purpose properly. The cons don't even bother me at all, simply because I will only ever see this issue when I install it in a new method. If I required one thing much more, I would have purchased something superior and more high priced.A PSU is supposed to keep hidden in the technique, only noticed when you are altering components, and this 1 does just that. The truth that it does that for a pittance makes it worthy of a acquire. If you only need to have fundamental components in a Pc and want a reliable supply of power, put this on your list.

AMD X3 445 with ATI 5450 videocard runs just fine with this powersupply. The construction is incredibly good, with sleeving on all the cables. It runs quite, very quietly. A lot of cables and they are all of decent length. In brief, it is effectively up to the process it was made for- powering basic systems. None, for a budget energy supply(which this is, Corsair name or not), it does the job. 28 amps on the 12v output is enough, if you will need a lot more then you shouldn't be looking at budget power supplies to start with. This is a Channel Nicely unit internally, not Seasonic like the preceding spending budget Corsair. Even so, relative to other energy supply companies in this class, Channel Effectively is key step up. If you can get it on sale and with rebate as I did, effectively it can't be beat.

Cheap..has the name Corsair on it!! Didnt make it thru first boot on new build. I have had no troubles with Corsair PSU's till this tiny guy. Built a brand new Intel E3300, with 2GB of GSkill Ram and a Gigabyte G31-M motherboard. After get it collectively and getting ready to instal Windows on it..I fired it up on initially boot then all of the sudden a loud "POP" and sparks fly out from the fan region of the PSU. Hopefully it didnt take any components with it. Proper now the Pc is up and going with a low grade 300watt I found in my closet. Not positive what I want to do this at this point...Im in all probability going to refund and purchase something else..I was leary of the acquire from the beginning but trusted the Corsair name.

It has all the power I need to have for my laptop and it's tiny video card. The wiring is lengthy sufficient for any mid-sized tower. And all of the wiring is all wire meshed covered. The fan on it is very quiet. Although I haven't found 1 yet , I also have only had it for a few weeks now. This would perform fantastic for any HTPC.I gave it five eggs mainly because for what it is, it's the finest bang for your buck.

great packaging, the one that worked was solid and not super-loud either one particular arrived DOA, so 3.5 eggs, as QA ought to've caught a completely dead unit I just about exclusively stick with Antec PSUs, but I purchased two of these since of the Corsair name and the rebate. I purchased 2 and a single tested out fantastic, the other was DOA. Waiting on RMA to see if Corsair gets 1 for three or two for three. If the subsequent a single's dead, I'll update my critique to 2 eggs from 4.

Low-cost price soon after rebateGood searching PSU with black finish and sleeved cablesQuiet Far more like a 380w PSU. Only 28 amps on the 12v+, comparable units have 32 or superior. 28 amp 12v+ are commonly identified on 380-400w PSU's. Although this is nevertheless a good PSU, Corsair decided to affordable out on their replacement for the CX400. This is not an 80+ "Certified" PSU, but does have > 80% efficiency, so either not tested or just barely failed.I also discover it odd that the PCI-e 6 pin has a adapter to make it an eight pin, but no way would this power any GPU that needs a six pin and 8 pin plug.If you can get it for ฤ or significantly less immediately after rebate and are not operating really higher end program, it is a truly good deal.

Quiet fan, sleeved cables, really lengthy cables. P/S does what it is supposed to - quietly and efficiently. Snagged it for forty with twenty MIR. Rebate is an on the internet submission, and already shows accepted. Mfr says this P/S is higher than 80% efficient, but doesn't list a Bronze rating. Why? This makes no sense in light of the target (PC enthusiast) marketplace. I'm taking into consideration other choices until they rectify this.

runs really really quiet, comes with a lot more pins and connectors than necessary, even has pci-e video card hookup. it has the higher amps on the 12v rail which is necessary for these kick-hot vid cards... very nice, cables are quickly lengthy sufficient, and it is really aesthetic in case you want to show off the inside of your personal computer to your girlfriend. who, like mine, could care less. I'm stretching right here, due to the fact I assume it is one particular of the nicest PSU's for the price, but I want it came with a couple of three-pin jumper connections simply because my micro board only has 1. gotta devote dollars on adapters. also, unrelated... the video card I bought this PSU for (Nvidia 8800 gts i had laying around) is burned up. test, then purchase ! lol

It worked; powered the technique, and at a cheap cost. The fan in it makes a extremely loud rattle sound. It's the kind of noise that isn't extremely loud but seriously stands out since of the distinctive rattle sound. This was a disappointment thinking about Corsair is generally one particular of the quietest brands of power supplies - but then each and every other one of theirs I've owned has cost many instances the price of this a single.

See below See below Newegg admins please forgive this non-overview, there's no way for customers to enter a ticket for this item by way of Corsair support as suggested by Yellowbeard as their site drop-down menus don't list the CX430 PSU as a valid item. Please take into account this a Newegg consumer service post.-Motherboards employed had been brand-new Asus P7P55 LX units, at present functioning completely -Unsaved BIOS setting situation employing the CX430 was reliably reproducable across units-As a suggests of ruling out motherboard challenges, CMOS batteries had been changed (to no impact), and a boot and BIOS adjustment test was produced with an X-series Seasonic PSU--which exhibited quite regular BIOS operation.-Replacing the CX430 PSUs with a decrease-wattage third-party supply quickly rectified the BIOS settings situation. -Systems were redeployed utilizing CX400 PSUs without further challenge.I recognize that a PSU ought to have absolutely nothing to do with the CMOS/BIOS settings, but the PSU was inexplicably the culprit--across numerous PCs.
