Had no challenges mounting and unit runs quiet and cool. I have no ventilation in my MicroATX case other than the CPU fan, and I have in no way had an concern with heat (of course, I haven't really attempted to test the energy load or do anything also intensive with it) none so far About the MicroATX factor: This is not one particular of the official MicroATX energy supplies Newegg sells. I bought a single of these since my case fits a MicroATX mobo and I didn't bother to take any measurements. Ended up getting to RMA it mainly because it was also tiny. Not something wrong with this item or the other PSU, my case is just weird. |

It's as virtually as good as you are going to get for 550 Watts for the price tag. Doesn't come with a four pin processor plug. You have to use half of an 8 pin if you want a four pin. Most persons wouldn't know that. In currently's day and age, a excellent PSU and UPS have to go hand in hand to retain your stuff right. |

Sata connections are "backwards" for the orientation of my really hard drives in my Dell XPS 430. Nevertheless worked. Has power for almost everything you could feel of! High 550W is plenty for just about anybody. There are a ton of plug-ins so you can power a ton of hardware. Comes with cable ties to hold the inside of your tower good and neat. Runs for long periods of time with out obtaining hot, even when playing games! Almost also several cables. Rock strong power supply, never had any situation; easy to install, excellent workmanship; plenty of connectors. Really loud fan noise, quite distracting. This is a replacement P/S in a Sonata case, so I was used to quiet operation. All issues the exact same, this is an really noisy P/S. I didn't count on this, my Corsair 750W P/S in a different personal computer is whisper quiet. Good hunting. Particularly quiet. Power provide is not in a position to regularly provide energy. I couldn't figure out why the technique would just randomly reboot. Sometimes it would reboot through post, other times it would keep up long enough to install and/or run an OS, but at some point it would go down once more. Following re-seating memory, CPU, and so forth, I tried a power provide from my other personal computer, and voila... a stable system. Newegg is sending my RMA out.Also, this was Hard to get into my case (which is spec'd for a normal ATX power supply). The sticker on the side got scraped up throughout install and removal. This energy provide gave me quite a extended day. I purchased this to install in a Lian Li Pc-Q07 for an HTPC technique. It was a great price. Mark, this energy provide has an eight pin connector that breaks up into two four pin connectors. Just separate the 8 pin connector and connect 1 of the resulting 4 pin connectors into your motherboard. Hope this helps. When implemented properly: none. Corsair continues to obtain higher praise for its energy supplies from qualified reviewers and end users alike. I personal this distinct energy supply and have absolutely nothing terrible to say about it. Please don't skimp on the power supplies, people. A ฤ featherweight is not going to get you far. |

Great PSU for the spending budget minded.Clean, stable energy delivery.Adequate cables to power a "normal" construct.It's a Corsair!!! It's not an AX850... ;) I discovered the hard way that the 1 portion of any Pc make that 1 must by no means go for the cheapest is on the PSU. When my old energy provide became intolerably noisy, I began looking for a replacement. This energy provide is sleek-looking, whisper quiet, and its cable branches fit my box's each and every need. Way much better than the stock/generic ps that came in HP puter. Purchased for construct, but employed it to replace fried one for now. Neweggs service and shipping is great! Have been waiting for 2 mos. for rebate. My request was denied! Filed out paperwork, registered on the net, all correctly. Eggs have been dropped for this reason only. If you want a greater price beware, and don't go the rebate route with Corsair. (Got my Silverstone rebate in 1 week) Good cabling, avg. noise from fan, 80+ is a plus. |
Got this 3 , 4 years ago for pc gaming, used it with GT9800, GTX260, GTX460, and now GTX570 and is still running strong. Highly recommend for entry level pc gaming setup. It is slightly expensive at regular price, but when on sale it is worth every penny!
