Cons: cpu 4+4 pin a little short for bottom mounted PSU in a mid-tower case

Pros: quiet fan, powerful single rail, 5 year warranty
Comment:
I've had this PS on one machine just a few days short of two years and pc has been continually powered almost 24-7. Running 1090T overclocked, 6850 oc'd and 16GB (4x4), single SSD, single HDD, 1 ODD. For the most part, PS has remained stable and quiet. The PS is bottom-mounted in a PS05 case 8-pin MB cable runs a little short by about an 1-1.5 inch if routed along the side of the motherboard. The best option would be to route it underneath the video card notch (just behind the X-fire bridge). All cables are sleeved but utilizes a thin almost see-through black mesh. It's still better than a non-sleeved cheap PS.I've seen two versions of this PS f NCIX and both are marked at V2. This unit CMPSU-650TXV2 is single 12V rail rated at 60A. If my research was correct, this model was manufactured by Seasonic for Corsair. I believe this has now been discontinued (although there may still be some older stocks available). The other version, CP-9020038-NA is also branded as a V2 (but may or may not show V2 stamped on the box). This is the newer North American version 2.0 manufactured by CWT (Channel Well Technology) for Corsair. This also has a single 12V rail but rated at only 53A.Both PSU's carry a 5-year warranty and are both 80 plus bronze certified.

Extremely heavly built. My wife constructed her a rig three months ago and not a glitch. Incredibly quiet and voltages are solid with a i-7-950 with a 5750 gpu. No overclocking even though.... My unit was the exact same but was delivered DOA... Read beneath. DOA.... Suprised us getting a Corsair. I guess it happens. Just glad I had my old energy provide to energy my new rig simply because not only do you have to pay to ship it back but it goes UPS Ground so it's a 2 to three week wait for me. Cant go incorrect with these PSU's. 5 year warranty....incredibly good!

Cons: A bit pricier than other PS with the exact same hardware.Only 2 PCE-e connectors compared to other units using same hardware which has 4 connectors.

Pros: Rock-solid hardware. 80+ bronze. Active PFC.
Comment:
I'm an electronic hobbyist and bought this to modify it and convert  it to a bench power-supply, so I has never seen a motherboard! But still, it's rock-solid. I'm using it to power-up custom-made FPGA Bitcoin mining rigs and taking 48Amps from the +12V rail, and 1Amp dummy load on the 5V rail. However, it handle this high cross-loading scenario brilliantly. At the time though, I didn't know that the XFX PRO650W was apparently using the same hardware. Still, the quality is very good. My kill-a-watt measured power-factor correction at around 98~99%, very good! This does matter in my case when drawing a lot of power from the mains with the other equipments all on the same breaker. And it's 80+ bronze efficient. However, as said, you can get other PS with same hardware base, with 2 extras PCI-e connector, for a bit less (for you, SLI/Crossfire fans out there)! But if you're not in SLI/Crossfire, then you can't go wrong with this one, especially if you catch it in rebate.

Cons: Bad luck with defect manufacturing !!!

Pros: Powerfull, sable, quiet
Comment:
I received the product with a manufacturing defect. I request RMA and two days later NCIX sent me another. Excellent service. Normally, Corsair makes a good product, I used one now at least 4 years, no problem. Unlucky I guess. The replacement works perfectly.

Bought this power supply to replace a really old OCZ power supply that was giving me BSOD's, and this new power supply has resolved the issue. It runs very quiet and is sufficient for my needs. I'm using an i5 and radeon HD7870.

I made the appropriate decision. I am not a fan of grossly overrated PSU's (if your hardware desires 500 watt, why do some men and women invest in a KILOwatt?? To waste energy, funds, bring about noise and hum?). But getting an EE Engineer I can calculate precise peak & steady-state present requreiments imposed by my hardware, and in spite of nVidia GeForce GTX 560 right here this PSU with 650Watt is the sweet spot.IT IS SO QUIET. In truth, quietness at 650-800Watt is a single of the reasons I picket it. The kind of study/design perform I do needs silence (or Heavy Metal!) and I picked both PSU (this Corsair) + case (LIAN) for not only technical specs & high-quality & price tag, but also for QUIETNESS. None. It's Corsair. A respectable name not only in higher-perf. memory, but also Power supplies. Don't be confused. Corsair is not about memory alone, it is also a prime producers in PSU energy supplies. And this model (TX650 new revision) is a NEW edition of an currently thriving model (TX650)

Great price and powerfull...79.99 soon after rebate, large fan with wheel bearing (not some low-cost sleeves like CoolerMaster), excellent long covered cables (black cover for all of them), great warranty, and great company and history in critiques and excellent. Possibly a small bit louder than my earlier CoolerMaster 600W...but I am not positive...I dont recall how the Cooler Master run ahead of..bc it was replaced when by CM right after 1 month of running and then the very same challenge 1 year later...horrible noises from the fan until it even stopped spinning around half of the time...finding genuinely hot! I will under no circumstances acquire Cooler Master again ...that is for confident! none

This power supply has all the connectors you could will need and offers lots of stable power. Not genuinely a lot of a con, but the fan moves so a lot air that you will certainly hear it above the other fans in your technique. I wouldn't recommend this power supply for a 'silent' method.

This is a great PSU. It is cool running, practically silent, and offers anything a pc requirements. The cables are on the longer side which is wonderful if you have a bigger case. This PSU has quite solid voltages, and the 650W is the great wattage for Gaming to every day desires. If you have a smaller case it is a tiny more hard to hide unused wires mainly because this is a non-modular supply. Good

Substantial fan, extended cables, lots of connectors, nevertheless fits inside modest case. Initially unit I bought had a negative ball bearing in the fan. Second unit was definitely a return that had been reshrinkwrapped to appear new (*NOT* bought by means of Newegg!) so I didn't even each to attempt it when I saw the tape seals on the inner box were cut. I suspect a different poor ball bearing on the second unit, else why return it, and why try to resell it? I have the other version of this power supply, and it's accomplished nicely over the past 1.five years. Not sure I could trust this version.
