This PSU is modular, meaning (for those who don't know) you choose which cables you need to have to connect to the PSU. Some PSUs have all cables attached by default, which makes them a lot messier and not as good-hunting.It has enough cables to hook up everything in your personal computer and more, and it comes with a wonderful cable carrying case. I have practically no complaints about this PSU. It operates extremely properly, and that's fantastic enough for me. None I had trouble realizing where the cables went into the PSU itself, but then I realized there are spots where the cables will only plug in. If you're obtaining the very same problems as I had, you'll figure it out. I promise it's a lot much less complicated than it appears.

Silent, fan only comes on under heavy load and even then its barely noticeable. Modular cables are fantastic and the length of the cables is just fine. I have incredibly substantial case and had no troubles with length. Packaging is incredible; you can just inform that a lot of thought went into this solution. As lengthy as this power provide doesn't die prematurely I will in all probability only acquire Corsair energy provide's in the future; that is how significantly I am impressed by this item. None what so ever!

Looks nice I replaced a Corsair 450w in my Dell Studio 540. I went with Corsair since my 450w works wonderful. I have changed several PSU, so for installation I double and triple checked my connections. The LED on the front of my Computer changed to orange when I tried to fire it up. Fans come on, but Pc does not boot up. I then switched back to my old, and it was nonetheless orange lit and absolutely nothing booted up. I pulled the battery on my mobo, waited for the caps to decharge and bam. My old PSU fired my Pc up once more. The new PSU puts it back to orange when I tried it once again. I was fairly annoyed with this complete fiasco specially considering that this is my recording studio Computer. Now comes the procedure to return and wait. I spent the cash on a decent organization. Hopefully this will be rectified soon. I will change my post if so.

Study some very good reviews and felt confident in getting this item on one particular of neweggs weekend offers. Immediately after getting a doa item I've been on a number of forums that show many victims have bought this trap of a psu and other individuals that fell for the replacement gag as properly, I will just get my refund and shop for a far more dependable item. It's a trap!

Virtually every thing about this energy supply is fantastic. The design is good, its efficiency has a Good bang-for-your-buck, the modular cables look excellent and are sleeved rather nicely, and the packaging itself is even one thing to be admired. The 4Ǟ-pin CPU cables. As well Quick!!! I've got my develop in a Corsair Graphite Series 600T case, which is pretty modest compared to some of the other giants out there, and these connectors had been still also quick to attain the energy connectors on my motherboard. Regardless of the fact that I'm hooking up both eight-pins into my motherboard, I didn't even have adequate length on either of the connectors to attain the closest available eight-pin socket on my motherboard devoid of getting to make the wire just go straight across the rest of the motherboard on the front of the case. I'm presently seeking to get two eight-pin energy cable extensions just simply because of this, which frankly I believe shouldn't be essential when paying for a prime-of-the-line product from Corsair. The truth that Corsair is the manufacturer of Both ends of the challenge is what's even additional... "disturbing" about this; you'd assume they'd make all of their items absolutely compatible with a single an additional, appropriate? If it weren't for these cables becoming too short, forcing me to go out and invest extra on extensions that likely won't even have the same colour scheme as the rest of the design and style, I would have given this five stars. This is just unacceptable for a solution from Corsair, specifically when placing this power provide in a Corsair case. I can't imagine someone making use of this in a 800D. I anticipated some thing elite soon after reading all the testimonials. Packaging was fantastic. Unboxing was the highlight. I was so sad when it was nothing at all but a paperweight. The finish connectors felt quite cheaply made and have been really diffcult to connect collectively. I'm onto Antech.

I appreciate the corsair brand and this PSU seems to be no exception.Anything I was searching for, even produced by SeaSonic. The only cause I chose this more than an actual SeaSonic is that when facing down, this shows the good AX850 logo as an alternative of the tech specs, a minor factor but given that its essentially a SeaSonic, whatever.Completely Modular The 24pin on the psu side is a tiny funky the way the did it, and the indevidually "sleved" cables at the end are a tiny... scrambled, not as neat as i would have liked. The fan DOES NOT SPIN when you 1st boot and durring normal usage. This virtually produced me cr*p my pants, I thought it was broken and due to the fact I didnt notice it for a bit, was worried about harming my other goods. A straightforward google search identified this was regular, and component of their silent solution. I guess it doesnt want to be cooled all the time?Somebody correct me if im incorrect or if the span spins for you always. Would adore it if a Corsair Rep commented on this. OK. So now I am going to get on my soap box. This is the first assessment I have written. And it's because I am so impressed. Every thing about this unit is initially class. There are no extra wires hanging everywhere, due to the fact you only use exactly what you will need. I had a 430 watt. And think me there is a distinction. I imply come on guys...we spend 踰 on a dang video card and believe nothing about it. I guarantee you that you will not be disapointed with this unit. Well the wiring is heavy...nearly like it is created to last or something. I run a mid tower with eight gig ram. Yea...lean and mean. But seriously, the con is you can not throw the added wires away. Which is what I often do. I hate clutter. But I know I will by no means uncover any other harness like what comes with this unit. Just a single. I'd really like to personal this business. They take pride in their work and it shows.

Silent, Modular, sexy, trustworthy, packaging looks and tastes great...i imply looks great lol. Corsair knows how its carried out. It doesn't say qualified series for practically nothing. Beginners will have a really hard time working with this out of the box for the cables are unlabled except for the PCI-E and also quite unfriendly. They're sharp edges cut me while removing 1 of them. And the instruction booklet is pretty fundamental talking to you as if you already know what it says. Don't let a small difficultly keep you from what is genuinely a excellent energy supply. It's all part of what it requires to be a Computer Builder.

Had this for 6 months running an i7 3770k overclocked to 4.5Ghz and running 2 GTX 660s in SLI. It's still pumping juice into my rig very well and doesn't waste power by having the fan on un-necessarily. Great PSU!
