Bought these to spruce up my aging Core i7 920 Bloomfield. Went from 6 to 18 gig and it really made a difference in multitasking. Expensive but worth it.

I have these poor boys clocked @ eight,9,eight,24,80 1640 mhz. This aloud me to overclock my i7 980X 150 mhz more. I At present have my i7 980X @ 4.613 mhz. Also this ram is set at 1.5v compared to my 1.65v Corsair xms ram. The only issue I want I could get a better O/C with the ram. I possibly could if I sacrificed my cpu speed. Nooot! lol. Also my mobo will only help 1600 mzh ram o/ced, so I can't expect to o/c as well high. I'm quite delighted with this memory. Its receiving the job done!

It operates nicely once you get it to work :) XMP or manual settings with this ram caused a total boot failure on my x58 snaggletooth board running Win 7 64bit, the good news I discovered my personal fix for the situation. I dont know if it was the ram MB the OS or a combo that triggered the situation my fix for it is strong I ran the torture and burn in test for hours and not 1 fault My repair for the concern, shut down machine pull all but the very first stick of ram go to bios set timings or use XMP boot to OS, Shut down immediately after boot add a stick to next slot boot to OS shutdown add last stick and it will recognize all three sticks at manual or XMP speeds :)

12GB 9-9-9-24 2T at 1.5v XMP - Performs wonderful with my ASUS P6X58D-E. This replaced my OCZ Platinum 6GB. The OCZ 6GB is quick, but the 12GB is a lot greater for motion pictures editing, and Adobe CS5. I had my i7 930 at 4GHz with the OCZ Platinum 6GB at 1600mhz. I wanted to make certain that the 12GBs is stabled just before OCing back to 4GHz. 15% discount & Totally free Shipping was way as well excellent to pass from NewEgg! Thank you NewEgg! Scarry, The packet didn't come in a box, but rather in a thin FOMED envelope. Hmmm... I'm not going to take an egg off, but i hope NewEgg will ask their Vendors to employed shipping box rather than thin fome evelopes.

Cons: Cheap plastic heatsink

Pros: Stable, looks ok i spose
Comment:
One of my sticks of ram was starting to go so i decided to replace that 3x2gb kit with this Corsair 3x4gb kit. The heatsinks are plastic and make the ram feel kinda light/cheap compared to my old ram but they passed memtest and didn't cost much so whatever. I didnt bother seeing if they could be oc'd i just used the xmp and kept em at 1600.

It came in a box that said Corsair on it. In an X58 Sabertooth it will run a 1066 only alter anything and it crashes XMP or Manual it crashes appear at it it crashes I wont attempt an additional batch of this garbage shame on Corsair for pushing this junk. I have by no means had problems with Corsair just before their products are normally extremely dependable and their consumer service is pretty good as well but I hope they dont keep creating stuff this shakey or hit and miss in quality

Extremely quickly and rock solid so far. Scores a 7.9 in WEI. Not that WEI matters that much although. At 1st only showed up as 8gb on Rampage Formula. Switched around and handful of time and reseated it. Then it showed as 12gb. Was productive on severaly passes of Memtest. I have these operating perfectly at eight-8-8-20 at 1.5 V, alongside an OCZ kit, OCZ3X1600LV2G Ɩ GB DDR 1600 CAS 8) Memory. Automatic overclock to three.2 ghz on an Asus Rampage II Gene, bios 1405. No troubles so far. They run so nicely, I'm considering getting one more set to max out my memory & place the other OCZ3X1600LV2G 6GB in a 2nd create. These Corsair expense about the very same as my original OCZ3X1600LV2G 6 GB DDR3 1600 kit did in 2008, it's a steal in terms of overall performance & RAM. Corsair lives up to its reputation with a different top quality product.

This ram kit is excellent ideal out of the package. They are sturdy and the heat sinks are big and reliable. They look fragile, not positive if they are but I treated them like glass installing them.Enhanced my Windows Expertise index by .2 points. Was extremely pleased at how the theme of these sticks fit so well with the internal aesthetics theme my Alienware Aurora. Not confident if this is actually a Con, seeing as how significantly space was inside my pc but this may perhaps trigger challenges with smaller sized mATX towers, but...These items are Tremendous. They fit nicely in my Computer, but they take up Lots of space vertically and may possibly get in the way on particular builds. I query how durable the heat sinks are. I'm not 1 to go test it out, but I treated them like glass when installed them and employed the clips on the board to push them down into the slots.Other than that, I truly can't assume of any multitude of applications that would consume so substantially RAM.Really serious OVERKILL. Specially for a gaming rig.But bragging rights is invariably a enjoyable thing.

The cost was great. My major purpose for purchasing these was that they would run 򜩀MHz with only 1.5v. My kit was faulty out of the box. All 3 modules weren't initially recognized. So I tried re-seating them, and that didn't help either. Slowly bumped up the memory bus voltage and DRAM voltage and ultimately got all three working at 1.6v. But they wouldn't remain stable, 1 or 2 modules would drop whilst running in Windows. Which in turn would lead to a BSOD. Sooner or later I tried this kit in another computer - and there I couldn't run them even 򜠪MHz with 1.55v. I've under no circumstances had a Corsair memory module fail like this... And component of it is that Corsair desires you to "test" the memory for errors Prior to you can get Support. But in this case, that would have been a waste of time. I don't know if my subsequent memory acquire will be Corsair. (And all of my computers currently have Corsair Dominator Memory kits... which function fine at 1.65v) I Will need A Corporation that will offer Help! Comes in an Envelope but it's retail packaging is exceptional and was completely unharmed. I place these into a Gigabyte X58A-UDR3 Mobo. Intel's XMP was currently set from earlier ram, so when I placed these in I booted up with all correct specs. Ran Memtest initial factor and no issues. The plastic "heatsinks". Plastic and quite flimsy I was scared I was going to break it when i had to push down onto them when setting up. I do hate acquiring electronic devices in envelopes. Eggsaver shipping took 7 days.

This 12Gb kit dropped proper into my eVGA X58 3x SLI board with my i7-920 and promptly went to 1596 MHz at 9-9-9-20-74, 1.5V. With one more tenth of a volt I have it up to 1710 at the similar timings (oh yeah, and 2T command rate). I know a guy who's running the exact same item at 1833 eight-eight-eight-24-80-2T but I have no notion what type of voltage and cooling.I essentially do fill up this RAM each day, operating Photoshop 64-bit and maxing out all eight virtual cores of the i7-920. Particularly when working with a third-celebration panorama image stitching program, or resampling images to 13x19" to print at 1440dpi, throwing 6Gb image files about as if they were modest JPEGs. I'm a pleased user now. None so far, value was fair. Wish I could hit 8-eight-8 -- maybe with some cautious testing. There's a lot of RAM out there that won't hit its advertised speed without having further voltage. There's a lot of RAM out there that when you give it sufficient voltage to meet or exceed its ratings, it won't run stable at that larger voltage. Some even runs superior at below rated voltage (but that's yet another story!). Anyway, this 12Gb Vengeance kit is absolutely outperforming the Corsair 3Gb XMS 1600 c9 kit it replaced. That older kit wouldn't even hit 1605 no matter what I attempted, although it was content enough at 1590.

Cons: - might not fit if you have an overly fat CPU cooler

Pros: + work as advertised+ one of the best you can fir in a LGA1366
Comment:
These might not have the crazy-tight timings of the OCZ Reaper set they replaced, but they do handle overclocking better, which is an achievement considering they are twice the size. Well, in capacity at least, as the height of the modules is nearly half of the OCZ ones, definitely another plus.If you're still using LGA1366, you can't do much better than these.

Every little thing booted up rapidly, no errors, passed standard 10 min mem test, now to start out more than clocking. These look genuinely cool as well. Thanks Egg, super rapid shipping too. none......as of but, hopefully it will stay that way. These replaced 6gigs of g.skill 2kmhz ram that under no circumstances ran at advertised settings no matter what I did, not even a voltage raise would stabilize them, hoping this set oc's better.
