Cons: A bit big, only green?

Pros: Quiet, Effective, Aesthetic.
Comment:
Upon first looking at the bright green box, I found myself wondering just how big this thing would be, and upon pulling the top of the box open, I found out for myself. A fairly large cylinder array of fins surmounted by a single glowing green fan sits atop a viable cpu of your choice, in my case, an AMD 5200+, now over clocked above and beyond it's stock speed, around 3.1-.2ghz. Quiet, cool, and pleasing to the eye, and with the optional speed control, fine tuning is a breeze. very good bang-for-buck factor, although more colour choices would be welcome.

Cons: installation

Pros: Ultra Quiet, cold, decent thermal grease
Comment:
Running a new AM2+ 7850 and the thing was hitting 62 celsius under game load so I picked up this big cooler and WOW. Cooler fit in my old Antec SOHO no prob but installation was a bit tricky because of the size of the fins and AM2 clip. A little force is necessary and once it's in, you'll notice it moves slightly, but is not a problem. Took my 62 load down to 41-42 and idle from 46-47 to 37-38. Hands down, best cooler I've ever used, I recommend this to anyone wanting a SUPER quiet, very effective, badass cooler!

All in all this product is very good, I am quite happy with it overall. The only problem I had was the problem with the weight of it, and it caused some problems. But other than that an all around great product!

Cons: -Loud, use the fan mate-Fan mate requires modding or opening the case to use-mounting system seems to be subpar for am2 cpus

Pros: -Stylish-Cools well-Cooler can be mounted to blow up, down, forward, or behind :D
Comment:
-The mounting bracket for am2 cpus is terrible. After installing the cooler, you can wiggle and turn it ALOT.-This is a fairly noisy cpu cooler, supplied controller can be used to lessen the noise, however some sort of external controller (whetehr it be drive bay, or an expansion slot) would of been much better so you can adjust it for what you are using it for.-Did cool quad core amd phenom 2 940 from 3ghz, to 3.8ghz at 60 degrees C on load durring bench testing.WOULD GIVE A 2 STAR RATING BASED ON MOUNTING SYSTEM BUT DID NOT PURCHASE FROM NCIX

This fan is huge.... its needs place in the tower.... but it impose respect.... I'm running a 6400+ with a m2n4-sli motherboard... this board was not originally designed for processor over 5000+ so event when Bios updated my cpu was running in the low 50 degrees on idle and around 65 degrees when running games.... I bought this Beauty with Artic Silver 5 thermal paste and now my cpu is running 36 degrees idle and around 45 degrees when gaming... So it is a huge improvement ....You DON'T need to remove the Motherboard for that FANAlso there's already a tube of Thermal paste with it... but maybe think about using a better Thermal Paste as well.P.S : Just because of cooling increase, my 3d mark06 score raised by almost 350 points.

Cons: - Not as silent as a Thermalright cooler with a regular slowed down fan.

Pros: + Can be quite silent+ Effective even when silent+ Nice gree led+ Nice look+ Easy installation mechanism, doesn't require a backplate
Comment:
I have this isntalled on a Athlon 64 6000+ and it stays below 30 celcius according to the MB with the fan at minimum speed. The green glow is nice looking, everything about this cooler looks outstanding. There is a 110mm version which is bitter, bigger but also more expensive.

Pros: A superb product, installation was very quick, easy and secure. I like also that there is enough clearance for my Ballistix RAM and also to see the placement of the cooler.High quality parts and finsh
Comment:
I highly recommend this product if your using Dual core or your favorite Opteron, which we know runs hot. My idle temps are 26C and load temps 39 C to 43 C depending on the task or game. Its very quiet, my Tricool fans are way louder than it so really I can't hear it.This one is a keeper, take good care of it and you can use it on your next upgrade. Love the finish and the Nvidia green light. Yet another excellent Zalman product.Using a DFI board I find that when I crank the fan up to high the mother board is still controlling the fan speed, when the load increases the motherboard automatically brings the fan speeds up higher, Asus motherboards do not do this, once set at high or low the speed remains constant. So the Zalman /DFI combo works really well for me.

This is a nice looking, high quality, well built and designed CPU heatsink. I am running a AM2 5200+ cpu (2600x2)overclocked to 5720+(2860x2) 10% overclock. Maximum load temperatures are 44'C and Idle is 35'C in a warm room (77'F). Motherboard Temperature is 34'C.CPU heatsink fan speed is max at 2600 rpm.My stock AM2 heatsink was 40'C Idle and 57'C Load.I am also running a 8800 GTS graphics csrd which adds heat.

Cons: Due to the nature of the fan, hot air is blown onto one of the mainboard heatsink (M2N32-SLI). A very minor issue, it raised mainboard temperature by a few degrees. This had no real effect on anything.

Pros: Cool and Quiet, this is everything you want in a HSF.
Comment:
I replaced the stock HSF that came with my AM2 4600+, Big difference. I'm using the speed control that came with it. Even at the lowest speed, the 9500 cools my CPU better than the stock at full at load which was pretty noisy. At the same time the highest setting of the 9500 is much quieter than the stock HSF at load. Medium RPM of the 9500 makes less noise than the stock HSF at idle and cools far better. With the 9500 (lowest speed) I have my 4600+ clocked p 2.7Ghz with an idle temp of 38C, core 1p30C, core 2p34C (PC wizard 2007).

Comment:
This is a nice looking CPU cooler and it also performs well. Interesting mounting bracket was easy to install. I did notice one thing, when you install the bracket going through the un-obstructed Fan center it seems to cool better than when you go through the heat pipes. I changed to going through the heat pipes because it orients the FAN vertically instead of horizontally. It's a nice product at a great price from NCIX.COM

I really like the look of this Heatsink. It also brought my cpu temps down by 4 degrees celsius vs the Arctic Freezer 64. I've been able to overlock my opteron 165 to 2.6ghz and no heat issues at all.

This keeps my 30% overclocked AM2 A64 3200+ CPU at 2C above room temperature. Quiet as well, and by that I mean I can't hear it over my 2 120mm Tricool Fans at 30dBa. It's a bit on the large side tho, make sure you have enough room to fit it on.

So this is the first 3rd party heatsink I bought, and when it arrived, I was surprised and also kinda thrilled to see how big and shiny it was. It keeps my 3800+ dual cores below 40C in the most demanding gaming situations, and idles around 30C with lowest fan speed. If you wanna buy just one thing that will make it worth having a windowed case while making your computer more of true gamer, this is it! It really adds some 3D to your otherwise flat-like motherboard. And the green LED is not overpowering...it is more like a cool looking indicator that your CPU is in good hands!

I have used Zalman for years and this heatsink doesn't disappoint. It is rather large and heavy but if installed correctly neither is an issue. Tons of surface area for maximum cooling. No probs keeping a 4200+ well below what stock heatsink will do, and much quieter.

Cons: Haven't have any so far but will keep ya'll updated if i find one.

Pros: Quiet, light, everything is copper even tho it's not the colour of copper, very easy to install and made specifically for any version M2N motherboards.
Comment:
Bought this cpu cooler today but I wanted the Thermaltake mini typhoon but they were sold out. Got the Zalman's and I was a little intimidated of the size of this monster but really it's not that big after installing it. Everyone's worry is "does this fit the M2N-E motherboard?." I was told that this cooler was made specifically for any version of the M2N motherboards, so yes it will fit. I also have a tight tower case and it fits perfectly so space isn't such a worry. Very quiet on low settings which can be adjusted with the fan controller. Ok for the temps.. This is the temps with my comp set up. I have a Asus M2N-E mb, 1gig corsair 667mhz memory, antec 430w neoHE, AMD am2 X2 4200+ cpu, Maxtor 250gb sataII hd and sapphire x1600xt 256mb ddr3 video card. Playing Battlefield 2 for 20mins each, with AMD's stock fan i got temps between 58'C - 64'C and with this awesome Zalman's I got an astonishing 44'C - 47'C temps!! isn't that great or what? It wouldn't go past 47'C I was so surprised cause i thought i would get only 10'C difference. I think this heatsink is the best out there for it's price so don't worry about any doubts this is one of the greats.

Cons: -Comparable to noise of stock AMD Athlon 64 3400+ HSF when operating on Normal Mode-Weight-May have to remove PSU on some systems in order to install (as in my case)

Pros: -Whisper quiet in Silent Mode-Pure copper construction (with Nickle/Chrome plating)-Lower temps-Tool-less design
Comment:
Now that I've installed it in the system, I've got final impressions. After installing it (which was a hassle on it's own, just because of the size if the thing), I turned on the system and had a quick sound test. As I expected, it's near silent on Silent mode. The case fan is louder than this also (which I'm going to change anyways later). On the highest settings, it's comparable to a stock Athlon 64 3400+ HSF. It's actually a tiny bit quieter, but not by much. But that won't matter, it will be on Silent mode almost all the time. Now, for temperatures. Right away I noticed a temperature drop. And this is before the Arctic Silver has had a chance to fully set in. Anyways, so far, temps have dropped nearly 5 degrees in Silent, and maybe 6 or 7 degrees on the highest setting. Cons: The thermal paste was a painAs loud as stock AMD when turned to full speedLarge

Pros: SILENT, this thing is not at all noticeable when turned down to minimum RPMsComes with thermal paste and case sticker
Comment:
I bought this for my 3200 and I know I didn't do great with the thermal paste, but it still idles at 26 which is a 4 degree improvement over the stock cooler and i run it at lowest RPMs. When I turn up the RPMs the tempurature drops to 25 within 30 seconds. I need to redo the thermal paste but other then that it works great.

This is the best heatsink fan you can buy for AM2 socket as of today. Drops temperature by almost 10 degrees from stock heatsink + fan. Very quiet and took me a few minutes to install. I really don't like the LED light and there's no way to turn if off.

Pros: High Performance CoolerNot too loudSleak look
Comment:
This is without a doubt, the most awesome looking HSF available. The black and green is very cool. I was worried the LED would be annoying, but the glow is pleasantly not to bright. 10/10 for style. As a cooler, it's pretty up to snuff. There are few HSFs that are any better, especially when the fan is cranked. The best part is that installation is a dream. Simple, no mods needed, no backplates. It's a simple clip, although, it would be nice if it was a little more secured. As for noisy, even at full fan speed, it's pretty quiet. However, with the extra perk of a fan controller, you can turn it down to find a good balance between performance and noise. However, it is pretty pricey, significantly moreso than some quite solid competitors. Can I recommend this product at this price? Of course, but only if you are looking for style and solid performance, without that much care for price. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-04-06 08:54 PM

Pros: Easy to installCan point it any direction you wantExcellent performanceQuiet at < 2000 RPMs
Comment:
It's expensive, but I bought this anyway because it was the only AM2 cooler NCIX had in stock at the time and I needed something to cool an OEM FX-62 that was on the way. It's easy to install and uses the stock retention bracket, so no messing around there. You can also point it in any direction you want so you can in theory have it blowing directly out the back of your case, into your PSU fan, at your videocard/northbridge cooler, or whatever suits your fancy. It performs remarkably well too. Even with my FX-62 at 3.0GHz, temps stay below 45 degrees and the top fins don't even get warm (though this is with the motherboard not installed in a case, just sitting on top of the box it came in). I haven't tried any real hardcore overclocking but I think this thing would easily get you farther than most other coolers. It comes with a fan speed controller and at the lower settings it's pretty quiet, but spinning up beyond 2200 or so RPMs it gets noticably loud. At at 100% fan speed it's loud, but not uncomfortably so. The noise is not really typical of Zalman fans if you ask me, but then again this is my first Zalman cooler in a while. Also, the green LEDs and NVIDIA logo on the thing might throw off some ATI fanboys. Personally, I'm wondering why a CPU fan has a graphics companys logo on!Still, a great cooler with excelletn performance. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-06-06 08:07 PM
