This is the very first time I've changed out the CPU fan on this personal computer. This is 100x far better than the default Intel fan. I have an more than clocked processor from 2.4 GHZ to 3.4GHz running at 50 degrees C! The mounting bracket makes it simple to swap out following it's installed. None. Though, it didn't pop in actually uncomplicated like the default Intel fan. What does it matter although when its only a 10 minute set up. WORTH THE INVESTMENT. Get THIS!

It looks cool... thats about it. I lost all hope for Zalman. Its loud and high priced... too huge for the amount of cooling it delivers. I'll stick with Thermalright for my heatsinks.

I've always bought Zalmans for all my new builds and never have noticed something but fantastic issues from them, for the funds its worth spending I still have a single from five years ago in a Pentium D create OC'd from 2.eight to 3.5Ghz on stock voltage that keeps it operating cool whilst getting quiet Price is a little larger than other fans but you spend for quality with Zalman

Really sturdy construction.COPPER. Copper is constantly the way to go, and this is 100% copper.Easy to set up. Had to remove Motherboard, but would have had to do that with any CPU cooler. NONE. My temperatures didn't seriously alter for the duration of standard operating time, but they undoubtedly created a distinction when my personal computer was busy with gaming etc...

This factor is dead quiet.Reasonably priced.Aesthetically pleasing The temp, compared to my stock fan is negligibly cooler. My Stock fan sounded like a jet engine when carrying out video encodes, but this new Zalman is so quiet I believed it wasn't operating at first.Great device for a great price tag.

idle temps fell about 5 degrees and load temps doesn't rise about 53. This is immediately after i overclocked my E4400 CPU from two. to 2.75. Going to oc it to three. soon after more tests. It doesn't match also nicely. I have this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133099 and i purchased this zalman to keep it cool. Due to the fact of the best mounted fan it doesn't fit. You want to tweak the case to get it to fit. I had to bend my mobo with two washers beneath the 3 prime screw holes of the mobo. this gave me about 1ǘ mm of space amongst the best mounted fan and the zalman. the copper reduce my hand. the factor is so thin it's so sharp.

had to replace the stock cooler that came w/ the i2500. idle temps have been 27-30 C, now low 20s. in reality, cooler than idle MB temps. the explanation for the upgrade was temp spikes under load. in games like Left4dead, it would often get over 80 degrees, MB temps would stay in low 30s. now with this cooler, I'm but to see the CPU break 50 degrees even soon after hours of gaming sessions. calls for access to back side of MB, install CPU & this fan ahead of installing MB into chassis. Or if you're lucky adequate to have a chassis that grants access to back side of MB, you're ok.it was a pain for me to do a complete teardown on a brand new setup just to swap a fan

- Awesome develop good quality. - The lower center of gravity on this unit indicates significantly less pressure on your Mobo. - After 24 hr burn in, got my temps hovering about 36 C on a Q9550. - SHARP!!!! Used up three band-aids after I was accomplished installing this thing. Its like 40 Ginsu knives, just daring you to unplug the Mobo cpu connector, which takes place to be sandwiched among it and a 120mm fan.

It appears like Zalman understands how to make a very good thermal conductor. Zalman does not know how to make a fantastic mounting bracket. It relies on a awkward application of force to set up. In my case, 1 of the retaining nuts was improperly machined generating it impossible to install in the orientation I wanted. Luckily, it was feasible to rotate the heat sink to yet another set of nuts to install. Make completely confident you have lots of clearance from other elements or the case. The heatsink is really big with the radial element. The poorly created retention tends to make it genuinely frustrating to set up even if anything is created properly. The thin radial fins are sharp and I cut myself up trying to get this factor to match.

Dropped my temps with Arctic Silver 5 by 20CNo more stupid Intel Plastic Heat-sink Locking method. Most worthless issue ever.Instructions on the internet site for very best heat dispersion which worked even far better. NOTE THESE CONS ARE TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLYIdentical noise volume compared to stock in my opinion. Not a dilemma for me.Undoubtedly want two persons to install Be incredibly careful of the blades as they are really sharp. Also if you have a quite packed in case make positive you run your cables exactly where they need to have to be just before you place this negative boy on. I spent around 20 minutes snaking the 8pin in the tiny gap from the side of my case and the CPU meat slicer.Another note my E8500's core temps sensors were busted and I frowned when I saw no modify in temperatures when I initially installed it. But my BIOS and Applications also read CPU Temperatures and those had been accurate enough to make my moneys worth.

Running on an i5-750. Temps hold steady about 29°C-31° at idle. In no way broke 44° even on complete load. Whisper quiet at idle and relatively faint on complete. A small on the awkward side to set up for the 1156 socket; took two sets of hands. Take your time and you won't cut yourself. Installed on ASUS P7P55D-E Pro in a Zalman GT900 with lots of area left among the the sink and side panel.

Keeps my oc'ed AMD 955 BE at a cool 32c at idle and about 46c at gaming load. Fits nicely in my Cooler Master Centurion 534 with a ATI 5870. This is the 2nd develop I have put this cooler in, in just about two 1ǘ years, and its running like it was when I first purchased it, and I'll keep on working with it till it dies. None This cooler is a fantastic solution, silent at complete RPM's, absolutely worth the price.

Great cooling, moved from a stock HSF, this 1 brought my temps on a q9450 (stock clocks) from 32C down to 23C idle, and from 60C+ down to 42C full load on prime95 (ambientᤗC, case ambientᤡC) , whilst not listed as a compatible MB, it fits fine on a DFI LP LT X38-T2R (Thermaltake Armor case). Other than possessing to get rid of the MB to retrofit, none so far, no eggs removed because it is not the coolers fault I did not think ahead at make time, or that the case has no removable tray or cutout. Get this, great cooler.

Brought my Core 2 Quad Q6600 down from 35 Celsius to 22 Celsius after initially boot making use of Arctic Silver 5's appropriate application details. My previous cpu fan was an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. Lining up the heatsink with the cpu and mounting the help bracket was a tiny difficult, as a result four stars. I'm hoping this fan lasts simply because I'm loving the low, low temps on all four cores.

Wow! This child can cool. Getting a solid copper heat sink at maximum size with an ultra quiet fan that's holds up to any overclocker. Hugely recommend. The shear size. Most Mid tower and Complete tower should be fine. Energy provide location perhaps be an problem. Not in my case, program ahead. Zalman retain up the excellent work.

I don't have any temperatures to quote, but this thing has been operating my overclocked Pentium D for about three years. I have a Pentium D 805 two.66 Ghz overclocked to three.33 Ghz. It could have been able to deal with additional overclocking, but three.33 was as higher as my motherboard would go. None, will use this as extended as I use a socket 775 CPU. Just make sure that you dont place in on backwards when installing it. My goofy self was not paying focus and place it in backwards. It nonetheless ran my CPU at 3.33 Ghz, but I did put an extra fan in my case to assist exhaust heat.

CPU idles at 26c. Right after many hours of gaming or running BOINC projects for days, CPU never ever goes over 35c. Tiny akward to dust behind the fan, but not as well terrible. Install was a bit diverse than I thought, but was simple adequate. It's tall, so be positive you have a wide case.

As advertised, keeps your cpu like ice, even under heavy load in the course of a Chicago heat-wave. The instructions provided makes installation less difficult. Had to re-study several occasions ahead of I understood that 1 of the help clips essentially went under the mobo. My case is a Sunbeam Transformer, in between mid and full tower, and this was still a tight fit. A normal mid-tower with side fans probly couldn't fit this monster. Also note that the thermal grease is rather sub-par; it spreads like cement. The only serious con is that not all of the hot air gets pushed out the back. Anything that doesn't get sucked in by the fan is radiated, and can cook your technique pretty speedily. You want very good airflow to protect against the surrounding regions from more than-heating. With this heatsink, I was in a position to overclock my Core2Duo from 2.8 to three.44. Temperature was never an problem, but I just couldn't stabilize the cpu. At present sitting at 3.2ghz, and the idle temperate only enhanced 5 degrees, from 30 to 35. Even through hours-long gaming, cpu in no way goes above 43, properly beneath the shut-down temp.General program temp. went from 40 to 47, though a single of my major intakes is dying (only 𞸤 rpms). So long as you have great airflow, the heat radiated by the copper fins shouldn't be a dilemma.Absolutely 5 eggs, but take into account acquiring a superior thermal paste.

appears excellent, cools good. no clearance challenges in an antec 300 illusion. running a q6600 quad core ʃ.33ghz and my temp is only at 32c and i don't even have it installed properly. i had difficulty installing it effectively. i couldn't run the clamp thru the pipes since there wasn't enough area to get a fantastic grab into the screw head. it slid about so considerably i had to clean up the artic silver and begin more than. only this time i took it thru the center. i have new components coming so i will try to right the installation. this major chunk of copper appears great inside all the black and blue. i highly advocate this for the 775 sockets you have laying around.
