Cons: SATA plugs weree not spread far enough apart.

Pros: Quiet, looks great, lots of SATA (5) and Molex (3-4) power plugs.
Comment:
Even though there were 5 SATA plugs on this unit, I cuold not attached 4 HHD's + 1 optical drive since the SATA plugs were not spread apart enough. Had to buy a Molex to SATA adapter and use one of the molex power plugs to power the optical drive.Bought a refurb unit at $29.99 to replace an older PC so at this price, it's good.

Cons: only 1 year warranty for refurb. I got it for $39 and now it's only $29. LOL

Pros: corsair quality and reliability
Comment:
This was going to replace a 2-year old CX430V2 that was being transferred to another computer. Using a popular PSU calculator, the new computer only needs a max of 263W (based on 100% TDP, 90% system load and 30% cap aging). In real world scenarios, I'm probably not going to come close to 200W, so the CX430 would be more than sufficient. The CX500 would then be used on the old computer running an FX4100+HD6850. It's not being used as a gaming computer and it usually sees a load of only 15-20% most of the time. The CX430 never had any problems running this setup, so I expect the CX500 not to run into any issues given the additional 10A bump on the 12V rail.I saw this CX500 refurb for 39.99 and figured it was a good deal. Now it's only 29.99 and an even greater deal! Despite having only a 1 year warranty, I do not expect the unit to fail given the reliability and stability that Corsair PSU's have given me during my last 6 builds. Two TX's, one HX, one GS and 2 CX's. Not a single power-related issue on these machines that have been running almost 24/7 since 2011.The wires on the CX500 are sleeved compared to the CX430 but the SATA power terminates a little differently. On the 430, the connectors are more end-to-end while on the 500, they are inline with each other allowing for a cleaner install when using multiple drives. The CX500 also comes with two PCIe power as opposed to the single on the 430. My CX430 never came with a case badge. The CX500 has one. (This might not be significant but others might want to have a corsair case badge with their PSU)The CX500 refurb arrived almost as if it was new. One minor external scratch on the paint that's not even visible when installed. Complete with zip ties, case badge, power cable.
