Cons: - 24pin plug had major difficulties getting in to the motherboard.

Pros: - Standard corsair PSU.
Comment:
My only issue with this PSU was the 24pin plug. I had issues with my previous Corsair power supply as well though, and it is a known issue. After about 15 minutes of fiddling I got it to fit snugly, though without a click, I have had no issues yet.

Cons: CheapFailure proneCan develop some coil whine

Pros: CheapGood cable lengthQuietLots of cable optionsCorsair customer support
Comment:
This is not a bad power supply. My situation with it could have happened to anyone, and thanks to Corsair's fast RMA system it was way more pleasant than other experiences.I purchased this unit to run an experimental Core2Extreme system and it worked fine for two months. After I updated the system to an i5 I started noticing peculiarities, then my GTX 970 developed extreme amounts of coil whine. Next day it was dead. The 12v rail was outputting very bizarre levels but thankfully (I guess) only killed one component. Thanks to Corsair's warranty the RMA was quick and easy, but I'm a little less trusting now.Otherwise this power supply is very good. Solid construction and excellent cables round out a nice package. All the cables are excellent lengths for tall cases and feature lots of appropriate connectors. The cooling fan is efficient and quiet, the unit never heated up to a noisy level, and despite my 12v rail issue the outputs were very stable even under heavy loads. Also a big plus is Corsair's warranty support, they are extremely fast. It's a great buy but in the future I would keep a handy monitoring utility running in the background. I for one am now a little mistrustful of Corsair and have switched back to Seasonic.

Cons: Coil Whine, non modular cables are thick and heavy, 550w 12v rail

Pros: Looks Nice, black, and mount top to bottom or bottom to top.
Comment:
I bought this to power the following setup:Intel 4690Kz87 Gryphon MotherboardGTX 760 (and later r9 285)1 ssd, 1 hddThe unit looks good, and is fairly light (has plastic housing). It count mounted upside down for bottom case placements. The unit is semimodular, which doesn't really mean much when you need to use all the cables anyway. The cables are long.I do NOT recommend this product. It fails whenever 60% load is reached (assuming 550watt on the 12v rail). It has loud coil whine under load. It will probably be the loudest item in your case. There are other PSUs out there that offer better values without coil whine or RMA issues.

Cons: motherboard power cable doesn't fit right.

Pros: Modular
Comment:
This is my first Modular power supply. It sure does make the wire's look clean. Only issue with it is the 24 pin power connecter for the motherboard doesn't fit right. The clip the locks it in place just doesn't clip into place. It could be the board it self didn't try plunging it into another one. All other cables are fine.

Cons: Lemon? 50/50 chance I guess for a defective unit

Pros: Stable and very long cables.
Comment:
Bought this PSU, assembled a basic build and tested for 3 days. PSU died and had to take my tower back to NCIX to have them do a RMA/swap. Not quite happy having to pay for the replacement service (min labour charge) but oh well, saves me another trip plus paperwork and not to mention the time I had to wait for the replacement.

Cons: Dual GPU will need another 150W or so

Pros: Perfect Size for a single GPU Ivy bridge build (no overclocking)Modular (everyone needs to try it at least once, this one doesn't necesarilly need it though)Quiet
Comment:
I just like to keep my builds mostly stock, rather than overclocking and running into the inevitable occasional stability issue. With a 660Ti GPU and ivy bridge quad-core, this PSU is more than happy to put out everything your system needs. Your results may vary with higher requirements, of course.
