Cons: little plain but oh well casefan bloacks view

Pros: COOL, blew my 110 mm zalman away
Comment:
VERY good dont let the low price fool you , my quadcore idles under 40C and did a full load test for 4 hours was 58C on one core and other 3 were less (56 or lower), with a good fan would have to be in the top 10 air cpu coolers

Cons: Not as good as some of the more expensive heatsinks

Pros: Very cheap and good cooling
Comment:
Got this on the cheap for my budget AMD build and it does its job very well. For the price I paid for it, it performed amiably and would buy this again for my other build.

Cons: If I had to be super picky, Id say the fins are a little too easy to manipulate while installing, although most others would take more care than I did ;-)

Pros: Excellent cooling, Quiet, affordable (120mm version)
Comment:
I purchased this cooler from Ncix. Order processing was quick and painless even though few were in stock. Mounting the heatsink I found to be rather easy, as sizing this baby up, it was then I decided to remove my motherboard to install this HS and I am glad I did. I give it 5 , recommend to ANYONE.

Cons: Difficult to mount and remove from motherboard.Large size blocks ram slots on AM2 motherboards when using rams with special heatsinks

Pros: Amazing cooling ability
Comment:
One of the highest rated AM2 cpu coolers over at frostytech. Unlike the Xigmatek s1283 coolers which are mounted perpendicular to the ram slots, this one mounts parallel. Exhaust would therefore blow towards the back of the case instead of up.

Cons: gets loud if you turn up the fan speed, but you dun really need to turn it up to keep your cpu cool

Pros: I actually noticed the CPU cool down significantly, as well as my desktop sound level.great bang for buck pretty quietcomes with fan controller, thermal paste, and i dun have to put in teh am2 bracket
Comment:
Probably the best product sunbeam ever came out with.Ot got great bang for buck value. Significantly cheaper then a thermalright 120, and performance is only a bit weaker then the 120.

Cons: Freakishly large making it harder, not impossible, to fit on most motherboards. Push pins, not bolt adaptor included for motherboards that use em. Included thermal grease is good quality, but only enough for one application.

Pros: Silent fan and excellent heat dissipation, best price/performance ratio in my opinion.
Comment:
Best bang for the buck for E8400 4Ghz overclockers. 41C on normal use (2 EVE clients, Firefox, Media Player), 53C when stress testing. I leave my case door open and pointed towards a nearby wall at ground level (to avoid accidents), does wonders for heat reduction. Cheap alternative to buying an expensive case. Be slow and patient, and don't buy memory with large heatsinks that spike upwards like the Patriot Viper, you'll be forced to skip the first memory slot unless you want to cut two of the heatsink fins on the ram. I think push fins are more than fine for rigs that don't move such as LAN party cases. This review was modfied by poster d 03-21-09 02:03 PM I should add that I didn't bother using the fan controler, but it did look cheaply built. About the fins of this heatsink, they are very thin, but that's the point with this design, and i was able to instal it, uninstal and reinstal it without anything bent. Cons: Big

Pros: CheapComes with decent paste
Comment:
I didn't bother using the stock cooler at all, so I can't comment on how much better it is, but it cools my E5200 q 1.28v to mid-50s at full load.It is really big, and on my mobo (EP45-DS3L), the pins holding the fans in place almost touch the first ram slot. I also had to turn it so it faced the top since it touched the mobo heatsink. Installation was a pain until I figured it out. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-26-09 02:31 PM

Cons: - The switch that comes with it isn't very reliable.

Pros: - Works great- Nice and quite- Simple to install- Didn't need a back plate
Comment:
I got this cooler when I upgraded to an E8400. It’s a great fan, it came with its own controller but that broke soon after I installed it. When I connect the 120mm fan to the board it worked fine but wouldn't run if I connected through the controller. That's fine the control slipped into an expansion slot at the back of the case so it’s not that useful anyway. In the end this core contact is great! I would buy again if need be.

Cons: Very large, may not fit on high-end mobos with large chipset heatsinks

Pros: It's a real cooling beast
Comment:
Excellent cooling, and the fan is pretty silent, considering the amount of air it pushes. If placed it in a pull-configuration (with respect to the heatsink), it will however make a very loud buzzing sound.Had some trouble fitting this on my ASUS P5E64 ws evolution, due to the heatsinks on the mosfet & northbridge (I imagine all higher-end mobos will have a similar problem), and could only install it with the fan side pointing toward the top of the case. Pros: Price, Cools better than most
Comment:
I guess i missed reviewing this when i bought it, but after much experience this cooler is great. Cools better than the Zalman 9500 i had before by about 5c. Fan is fairly quiet, and can be changed. Overall great cooler, especially for the price i got it at $32.00 :)

Pros: Cools wellFairly cheap (compared to some competitors)Direct touch heatpipe technology
Comment:
Well, I bought this to throw on my gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R and found out that it doesn't fit without modding the motherboard a slight bit.. Mainly bending a heatsink fin out of the way of the cooler clip.. But this thing is amazing.. I went from around 60C stock clock on a Q6600 to 27C stock.. I'm testing at 3Ghz 8X500Mhz and this thing doesn't hit over 55 with all settings on auto..Yes I know I can do better manually configuring, but I'm just having too much fun with this cooler! Must buy direct touch..

pretty sweet for the price sunbeams trustworthy. it is quit large though so make sure it will fit in your case i had to get rid of my side panel fan on my 900. i think i can mod it to fit though. all in all sweet A** cooler its huge and it does what its suppost to it also comes with thermal paste too tx-2 or somthing i didnt use it becuase i had some GELID paste kickin around.Temps on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ running at 2.3 idle 24-30 havent done load yet.

Cons: flimsy, and a little tough to install

Pros: excellent cooling for the price
Comment:
for the price this is a great unit, the fan controller wires are somewhat short and I couldn't get it over my SLI 8800's so I didnt bother using it. The fins are pretty flimsy you will want to be carefull when installing that you dont bend them. I had to use a screwdriver to pry the clips into place, they are pretty snug. All and all tho its a great cooler. I would buy it again.

Cons: The fins were very very poorly made. Half of them were bent just from its own weight during shipment. The most disappointing is the fan flops around and is loose.

Pros: Excellent performance to price ratio.Cooled a ASUS P5K with a E8300 to 37C from 51C on the stock cooler on this particular board. Core temps averaged 45C.The longest 3 pin cord on a fan I have ever seen, can go across an entire Antec 1200 case. Either they make them like that or I fluked out and got a mis measured fan cord haha.
Comment:
Unfortunately, the price to performance ratio is not enough for me to buy this again. I will stick the the Thermalright Ultra-120's for build quality and performance. I was disappointed that it was made really really poorly. But you get what you pay form

Cons: BIG!a "pull" fan mount would be nice.

Pros: Designed for AM2 stock mounting bracket.Plenty of surface area, 120mm fan included, simple fan mount.BIG!faces exhaust fan for nice direct airflow.
Comment:
Easy to install, if you know what you're doing. AM2 ppl, this is the heatsink for you. LGA775 ppl, this heatsink doest not have a native fit on your pretty Intel mobos, you'll need to use the mount bracket provided. Its Better than Ultima 90.

Comment:
This heat sink is nice: it's not too big, it's quiet, and it does a much better job than stock cooling. It doesn't do as good of a job as my Zalman 9500, but for the price you cannot beat the performance. You can buy one when it comes on sale for under $40.

Cons: Not really compatible with bolt-through, fiddly fan mounts are difficult to install. Stock fan is loud and overkill for most applications.

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, excellent performance, better than standard push-pin mount. Included fan controller.
Comment:
A great cooler for the price, I now run 6 degrees above ambient on full load E5200 v 2.5Ghz with a practally silent noctua fan. Much better than my ASETEK LCLC kit I was using before. The clip mount is not really bolt-thru kit compatible, but the push pin design is a much better one than intel's. The only other issue is the wire-clip fan mounts are a b*&^& to install, but at least hold the fan well when isntalled. (they won't work with extra-thick fans)well worth the money.

Bought this as i wanted to overclock my quad core cpu intel 6600. Did some research online. Found several reviews which rated this product as best cpu air cooler with idle temp around 30C and load 50C. Google cpu heat sink, shouldn't have any problem getting these reviews.

Cons: Flimsy wire hooks to attach 120mm fan to cooler.

Pros: Very good cooling.Easy installation on AMD platform.Solid design.Fan controller included.
Comment:
Easily one of the best HSF currently available. Am very pleased with the drop  in idle/load temperatures for my AMD system. Although the thermal paste has yet to set, I see cooler temperatures of 8-10 degrees, I did use the termal paste included with the HSF rather than AS5(can always reapply if need be). Running the 120mm fan at high RPM is not recommended, very loud and annoying. With the fan controller I have it dialed down to low(1200RPM), very quiet. Highly recommended. Rethinking the fan attachment would be nice of their part.

Cons: Not so tooless installation, fitment issues, mediocre cooling

Pros: Low price. Cools better than stock.
Comment:
The snap-in ring is very hard to get off without breaking the clips. When I pulled the pins and tried to remove the ring for 775 mounting I could not get it off. I removed the mobo, compressed the clips and then it came out. The next time I tried to pull the ring off without removing the mobo from the case , one of the plastic clips broke. The cooler would only face up in my case on a Asus P5Q deluxe mobo. I will not mod my mobo cooling fins to make it fit any other way.The cooler only cooled my Q9450 an average of 7C with MX-2 paste, I checked my TIM coverage several times and I tried different fans.

Cons: HUGE! Seriously, make sure you have a case that can handle the height AND the width of this thing!

Pros: Really cools the chip, even under extreme clocking
Comment:
Need some serious cooling before you make the leap to water cooling, this is a good choice! I have cranked my Q9650 to 3.8 and this thing keeps it cool! It is huge though, so be real sure you can fit it under you P/S, etc.

Pros: Amazing performance - Best air cooling on the marketReasonably easy to installFan comes with controllerIncredibly good valueComes with the best thermal grease on the market
Comment:
The one thing I have to say about this heatsink other than how amazing it is for it's price is that it's quite tall. For me that isn't a problem, I just keep the side of my case off; it's cooler anyways. This heatsink is spectacular, I would definately reccomend it along with any other sunbeamtech products

Cons: Included fan is loud at maxOccupies a lot of space with its sizeFins and fan clips are somewhat flimsy

Pros: Great cooling abilityComes with fan and fan controllerGood retention mechanism"Correct" orientation for AM2Amazing price for the performance
Comment:
This is one of the few heatsinks out there that has a retention mechanism where the heatsink pushes air towards the rear of the case as opposed to up or down on an AM2 board. This was the main appeal that I had for this heatsink. This heatsink not only has a good price, it also has great performance. It keeps my temperatures under control on my Athlon X2 5000BE.The heatsink can get loud if you max out the fan speed but, the very nice fan controller included can put a lid on that. The heatsink is also quite large so it does take up a bit of real estate but, not much more than other top heatsinks out there.
