Cons: Rather expensive and low capacity.

Pros: Fast, well built.
Comment:
Installed this into a work HP6930p Core2Duo 2.8Ghz laptop that was lagging due to a slow 7200rpm drive. With Win7Pro 64bit and this drive, the laptop is now completely useable - whereas before it was a chore. The drive is very fast and is only held back due to the CPU. Bootup is quick. Resume from standby is fast, fairly close to my MacBook Air 11".With a US$20 rebate, this drive is around $1/GB which is half decent.I don't use this drive for any video or audio content so 60GB is OK.I'm sure there are faster drives out there but in this case I have no complaints. I chose Corsair as they offer an advanced RMA option with their warranty.

Cons: Need to install the O/S from scratch, cannot copy from drive-to-drive, still costly.

Pros: Fast, silent, cool, small, becoming more affordable.
Comment:
Always wanted to experiment with one so when it went on sale I decided to get it. After installing Windows 7 Ultimate, which took a lot less time on this drive, I needed to tweek the system by enabling trim and optimizing the settings. Corsair website has a lot of easy to follow instructions on how to do it. O/S loads faster, system updates load faster too, but a real improvements is when the programs launch (very noticeable). In addition, when you cosider no noise, low operating temperature, small energy requirement (even more advantageous in laptop use) this thing is quite good. I do not recommend buying drives smaller than 60GB. Ideally you should use this drive as an O/S drive with a few most often used applications accompanied by a fast conventional drive for data. With the newest motherboards and chipsets there is a recommendation to used the SSD as a cashing device (supported by the newest chipsets). There is an article on Tomshardware website about that. All in all this little drive is a lot of fun, I highly recommend it.

Cons: 3.5" carrier didn't work with my drive brackets

Pros: fast, fast, fast
Comment:
Decided to give a SSD a try when it was on sale and so far am quite happy with the performance. Loads operating system a bit faster, but the real improvement is launching applications. Apps fire up instantly. Tried using my laptop the other day and it was painful after getting used to using my desktop with the SSD as my system drive. Installation was quick--the supplied 2.5-3.5" adapter didn't work with my drive brackets so mounted the SSD in the drive bay using double sided tape. Quick and easy! Running XP Pro so can't take advantage of TRIM but haven't noticed any issues so far.
