tends to make starting my computer system very rapidly and is wonderful for games that have to load frequently like hl2 and fallout three/new Vegas. tends to make moving files, defragmentation, formatting and program installation considerably faster. for gamers particularly these who use steam and cant use numerous partitions it is not that substantially space for many titles. get two

Quick and uncomplicated overviewŋ. Rapid2. Fastthree. Did i mention it's fast? 1. It's much more high-priced than platter primarily based drives but still not as costly as the higher finish SSD drives that supply the very same efficiency employing a different technology (MLC/SLC)two. Small in size for the value

Nonetheless quick and snappy. This drive is causing my program to freeze randomly. The method freezes up challenging and demands a full reset to resolve. This has happened about as soon as a week for practically a month. The drive also showed a few reallocated sectors. Upon contacting Corsair Tech Support they generally stated "not to worry about it". Now I'm worrying since there's definitely anything incorrect with this drive.Verify your sectors! I'm contacted Corsair once more and the rep stated that they could do an sophisticated RMA so I wouldn't be without a personal computer. Hopefully, the new drive will solve this concern.**Side note, there is no alternative to select the F60 on their RMA internet site. I just integrated the P/N in the RMA description. Just wanted to point that out.

rapidly. installed fine. match windows, BFBC2, l4d2, adobe WP CS4 and a handful of other things and nonetheless have 8gb left. nothing at all. I thought for some reason that everthing would blink on when I clicked it with this drive. but it pulls us fast just not as instant as absolutely everyone appears to claim. but 20 boot time is awesome. initially into each game is cool also. have realistic expectations and you will be fine. also you can load most applications on your huge drive. just load the games and programs you require to be quickly on this one particular. like I use adobe and so it aids to have files load more quickly and rendering is quicker as nicely.

I have not been in a position to get the product working however. I was not capable to get this drive to boot effectively soon after cloning with the existing functioning HD in my laptop. I also was not able to effectively install a new OS on the drive either. I requested an RMA from the manufacturer, and following getting a refurbished drive from them I nevertheless don't have a working drive. The similar issues are present. I have had to requested one more RMA.

Read/write performance is top notch - have a pair of these in RAID and connected to a SATA III interface. Scores a 7.eight in windows practical experience rating. The addition of the three.five" adapter was nice as well. none seriously - the price is what it is and its quite comparable, if not greater, than the price tag/gb for other SSDs with SF controllers. Followed the Corsair directions for installing and preparing the windows installation. Performed a FRESH Win7x64 install, disabled indexing/system restore/hibernation to limit any unnecessary writes to the HD.

Quickly and uncomplicated to use Died right after a month, all information lost. The drive just died, wasn't displaying up on BIOS on 2 diverse machines. Practically nothing was recoverable Corsairs RMA department sucks. SLOOOOWWWW, the drive has been gone for three weeks now and I just got word that it is shipping back. I got UPS confirm that the drive arrived but Corsair didn't "receive" it for a week. This was a slam dunk swap, really should have been a few days at most.

Very quick. Persons evaluate these drives to raid setups, but they miss the fact that it isn't all about sequential reads/writes. This drive offers the SSD bandwagon at an affordable value. With very rapid access instances, Windows 7 with all my startup applications is ready in 15 seconds after BIOS. Had a little fuss formatting and producing a partition, but soon after a reboot and a tiny sweat, it was up and functioning. Good drive. I also bought two WD Black 500GB drives at the similar time and used them in RAID for games and larger applications. This setup kills any typical tough drives. I hugely recommend this item.

Really rapidlyNewest Sand Force ControllerTRIM (Win 7) & BGC tends to make maintenance straightforward Mounts effortlessly with bracket into an Antec 902 TowerExtremely Steady (in desktop systems) Right after scouring the Corsair forums for info on why so a lot of folks had been getting problems, I identified out that 90% of them are people with LAPTOPS.Cost per GB is nevertheless higher but I got it on sale for 104.99 from 139.99 so not truly a con. If you have a Desktop Computer this is a great piece of difficult ware that works superb as an OS SSD. I have the OS and some light programs that you use each day that see the increase in efficiency on this drive with Windows 7 Qualified 64-Bit installed on it, nevertheless have 27.8 GB left.Forum response to my inquires was speedy (within 30 minutes) and the support was effectively founded, be sure to take a look at their forums prior to acquire to learn how to get the most out of this solution, I did and its Awesome.

Ok study/write speeds for an SSD. 270 study, 260 write, but ONLY in ATTO benchmark. Very first issue I noticed about these drives, and by these drives I imply the entire Force series. They are marketed as the Fastest out there, but that just ain't accurate. you will only get the marketed 275mb/s R/W below ATTO benchmarking tools. Beneath ANY other benchmark, they come up brief at 160 mb/s Read and 65mb/s Create. This is due to the default "zero-fill" setting in ATTO which hardly mimics real-planet settings.Secondly, and MOST importantly, the Force Series is incredibly unreliable. I'm not speaking about the BSOD's that other Sandforce controller SSD's (Agility2, Vertex2, etc) get where the drive BSOD's on waking up. I'm speaking about 100% RANDOM BSOD's. You can be functioning at your computer system one second and staring at a BSOD the next. The drive locks up and even a reboot doesn't clear the error - you will encounter "No Boot Disk Identified" on restart; A cold boot is expected. Don't take my word for it, although, there is a [currently] 22 web page thread on the Cor*air forums. Disabling TRIM supposedly fixes the above challenge; but, I don't know about you, but I'm not paying all this funds for a drive that can't run TRIM. I RMA'd this factor and got a tried and correct x25-m rather. So what if its sequential R/W isn't as quickly - the 4k R/W is faster on the x25 and that's arguably far more essential for a system drive anyway. And, most importantly, I can count on it not to crash my pc inexplicably.

Really rapid drive. Tends to make for a great system drive. Good value! Low capacity limits is effectiveness. You can set up much on it right after your OS. If you cant afford a bigger-capacity SSD, this is a wonderful get. If you can, you will regret not going larger.

Quickly Exactly 1 month from date of purchase item started locking up. It is now 11ቯ and it has locked up once more. The initially lock up expected full reinstall of windows. This second lockup don't know what all is required. Every single time it locks up even though it corrupts windows causing it to run slower. Super dissapointed and now I guess I have to get in touch with manufacture for a new a single. Maybe one more brand would be a lot more trustworthy. I've in no way had tough drive difficulties. It's ironic that my initially hard drive dilemma would be ssd.

Fast At present the controller on this drive does not function correctly with certain HW configurations. It will shut off if you leave your pc on overnight. This is really effectively documented on Corsairs help forums. DO your research just before you buy this drive. Its been months given that this drive came out and we are told "its going to be fixed" I utilised to believe that Corsair supplied good solutions till I bought this 1. I use their ram in house computers and in a production environment. I wont anymore. The service reps on the corsair assistance forums is horrid. They are just going to accuse you and lead you down one more path to buy time. This drive has also dropped 45 dollars in a month or so. Theres a explanation for that.

Easy to install.Rapidly. This SSD drive, and apparently ALL Corsair F series SSDs, suffer from random BSODs. No one on the Corsair forum seems to know why this is happening except that it has to do with the SandForce controllers. Individuals have been waiting for the promised firmware fix from SandForce for weeks and weeks, but it nevertheless hasn't shown up. Obtain an Intel SSD if you don t want to deal with this ANNOYING issue. Can't think I wasted 175 bucks on this drive!

Uncomplicated install in my six-year old Dell Latitude D620. I installed Windows 7 Proቼbit and it's fun how swiftly it installs. Applications run smartly so far. I was afraid to buy a bigger drive in the occasion that it wouldn't actually make substantially distinction. I want I had gotten a larger drive now, while I commonly tether an external HD to the laptop for severe storage anyway. BIOS has failed to choose up the drive on a couple of boots. Some thing to watch and as well soon to inform.

Rapidly and inexpensive. Utilised this SSD on C: for OS and most often employed programs. I keep it under 50% capacity. We have had intermittent BSOD issues making use of WIN 7 Pro. It is especially prevalent unless there is a cold boot. Unfortunately, Corsair's tech response on this topic is "don't do it if it fails." None of my other machines operating WIN 7 Pro have this issue. Manufacturer Response:Please set up an RMA and let's attempt replacing that drive.External Link(s): Corsair Get in touch with Page|

sandforce controller. all SSDs have quite higher read speeds of 200mb/s and above but what separates them is the create speed and reliability. also the lower capacity drives of the exact same series are normally slower, but that is not the case with the force series from corsair. i had a reactor drive and it was DOA so r<aed it to corsair. They no longer have these drives so they sent me a brand spankin new Force series drive. if thats not client service, I dont know what is. 60 gb is lots of space for OS and games, itunes, essentials and so on.

From the start out:Easy-to-open packaging, plug-and-play install is no difficulty. Weighs a tiny much less than the stock [laptop] difficult drive, as well. Operating Ubuntu 11.04 alpha, the install was swift and updates/program loads/boot all run amazingly rapidly. Here are the numbers (TRIM enabled && journaling disabled on EXT4 FS):min. study: 208.7MB/smax. study: 286.5MB/savg. study: 283.1MB/savg. access: .1ms None but! Will post if I encounter any. The value of this drive and overnight shipping from newegg was lower than the 40GB brother of this drive from Ideal Obtain - def. a very good deal. Kudos!
