Cons: Very Loud. Difficult to install.

Pros: probably functional if it works properly. It does keep the cpu cooler than the stock cooler.
Comment:
Pump makes a lot of noise. It's just a loud grinding noise. Corsair support I just got an answering machine after being on the line for 15 minutes. The cpu block was unusually difficult to install. Instructions were lousy.

Cons: noise possibly, difficult to install, bad instructions, doesn't seem to have difference from fans

Pros: its hydro, looks cool
Comment:
i got it comboed with a psu, the price very quite nice. The radiator fan is supposed to be 100% powered all time, so it may produce a bit of noise, since its exposed at the back. the instruction booklet is very unclear. It took me 3 hours to figure out how to put it on my asus p8z77-V. My frd got a fan style cpu heatsink for about the same price, and the temperature is even lower during stress test

Cons: Not a reliable product.

Pros: Does the job well when working.
Comment:
So I ordered this unit along with every other pieces to build myself a new system. The unit worked fine at the beginning. But then, 2-3 days later it started to make a very loud grinding sound while operating. After my extensive research on the web I found I was very far from being the only owner with that issue. I directly contacted corsair about 2 weeks ago (as written on a notice when you open the box) to inquire an RMA request which they accepted and asked me to send them the unit immediately to my fees.I finally got an answer from them telling me: "Due to high demand on your replacement item, we regret to inform you that your RMA is currently backordered without a definitive ETA" So here I am left without a pc because I sold the original fan coming with my processor because I didn't expect I'd be needing it.So overall, the unit did have a great performance while it was working properly, for about 2 days, but then it failed and I have to say that I'm far from pleased with my customer service experience with this company which is a great deal when I look into buying a product. Also, this was my first corsair buy and let me tell you it will also be my last!

Cons: extremely difficult to mount. The backplate doesn't fit all four holes, I had to cut one of the sides to make it fit. The backplate is some cheap plastic, claim to fit the LGA115 but not without forceful intervention. My fingers were all bloody when I was done. The CPU fan makes very annoying clicking noise when I have my case on a vertical but noise goes when lying flat.

Pros: Once mounted it is doing a fairly good job
Comment:
Got this on sale for $40, in the end it is better than an air cool fan but I would not recommend it due to backplate poor fitting on LGA1155 and clicking noise. I had to cut one side of the cheap plastic backplate to make it fit, voiding my warranty, otherwise, I would have returned it.

Cons: -Expensive-Odd installation system-Lacked screws for push pull-Expensive

Pros: -Somewhat quieter than air coolers-Somewhat better performance than air coolers (particularly on high load temps)-Good tubing
Comment:
If its on sale for $40, its a pretty decent alternative to some air coolers. Its definitely quieter than my old A50 and provides slightly better temps, but in the end, buying a H40 is more of a splurge for giggles than it is for performance benefits. Backplate and mounting system was somewhat confusing and cheap. It lacked cooling for push pull. I would probably only recommend it for the 'cool' factor or small form factor systems.

Pump is noisy. Retuned it the next day. Retailer confirmed the noise by connecting pump power to a running mobo, and accepted it for refund without further questions.Pros: Cools CPU slightly better than stock Intel cooler, 2 degree celcius better.Cons: Noisy pump. This is a ONE star rating. I could not give ONE star rating because I don't have an Order ID. I have an Invoice #, but not Order ID. I had to choose THREE stars to submit the review.

Cons: Tricky installation.

Pros: Far more effective than standard fan + heat sink, even for non overclockers.
Comment:
Does its job very well without being over kill. Got it on sale with my processor, so it was well worth the price. To the person who said it is too loud mine is one of the quietest in my machine, far quieter than my graphics card when its at 40% fan speed. Also the grinding in the pump sounds like a faulty product, mine makes 0 noise. The installation instructions are over simplified and if you don't have experience it may be confusing. To those who had issues with the back plate - the screw holes are staggered, meaning they are not all in the same spot for each corner. Just look carefully at your back plate for the socket markers and put the plugs into the right holes for your processor socket type. For installing the backplate you have to make sure you're working from the back of the motherboard, then install the motherboard + CPU, then the cooler - if your tower has the access panel behind the mother board, your life will be easier as the panel is there for this so you can install the motherboard first. When you screw the front plate in, leave it loose once the screws catch, then install the cooler and tighten the screws.Last thought on this, using the mounting tape, it does just attach right to your motherboard, there is no special spot it should be attached to, it is fine - do not worry :)

Cons: Noise / Installation harder than necessary

Pros: Works okay cpu temp I5-3540 running around 30 degrees Celsius idle haven't tested load and don't really know how good that is.
Comment:
Supplied fan is to loud and I swapped it for the case fan as it is quieter. Pump motor for liquid makes a grinding noise which isn't that loud but really annoying and you can feel vibration on touching it.Installation instructions are okay but tricky...1) Backplate needed to be bent slightly to get screws through (should probably just have drilled the hole a little bigger)2) Install CPU first as the retention ring is in the way once you start.3) Don't tighten screws until pump is placed in retention ring.Or more...Or more...Or more...?????

Cons: Not completely silent, and the mounting bracket holes are not perfectly aligned.

Pros: Works well, and keeps my cpu cool. Very firm mounting bracket.
Comment:
When installing I had to supply significant pressure to the mounting back plate to warp it a little so it would line-up with all four screw holes. However, once installed the unit is very secure. If I leave my computer running at night, I notice it sounds like there is rain hitting the window. I guess that is the sound of water dripping inside the radiator. Still it makes much less noise than my fish tank in a different room.

Cons: radiator is very big... quick step instructions not detailed enough.

Pros: everything needed is included... gel already applied to the cooler.
Comment:
this is keeping my 955 black edition, not overclocked at the moment, at around 28 to 38 degrees from idle to normal usage and has maxed at 51 during intense gaming. would say it does the trick very well. but the radiator is big and you might need to do some modifications to the chassis to fit it in. i would have liked a bit more instructions in the quick start guide as well... must take time to read carefully and look at it all carefully before beginning to be sure to understand. would buy again but would suggest to H60 for anyone overclocking. edit: i have tried overclocking with the overclocking genie2 and got my 955be to a 3.6 which was good enough for me. but the temp went up to about 40 degrees idle, which is a tad too high for my taste... this is a great cooling system for a gamer who is not looking to overclock IMHO. Cons: A bit hard to install

Pros: Silent, Cools really well
Comment:
This is a great cpu cooler. I don't regret splurging to get this one bit. The fan is strong enough to keep my cpu (i5) cool despite the hot summer. However, the installation was a bit tricky. The back plate didn't have holes for the lga1155, despite the fact that it's supposed to be lga1155 compatible and as a result, only 3 screws will screw in completely and the 4th is jammed and stuck.

I bought this for a friend when I ordered my Maximus V formula at the aberdeen ncix branch, it performs alot better than I expected it to, my friends i7 960 ran extremely hot, non overclocked with the stock cooler, this does not require maintenance as dust doesnt affect the heatsink very much.

Cons: Sharp finger removing fan LOOK OUT. My Cooler Master V8 is only a touch worse in heat department.

Pros: More stable temperatures at idle and full load. Very Quite,Looks nice when installed. Very easy install provided you don't cut your finger on the fan ouch!!!. Have i mentioned that is quiet:) got mine for 39.99

Cons: Poor quality control. Bit difficult to mount.

Pros: Good Price. All in one kit with multiple mounting options. Mine came with a fan despite saying no fan!
Comment:
I bought this on a whim. I'm not really a huge overclocking guy, I really just wanted to mess with one of these. I paid $49.99 for it so it was a good deal, sort of. As others have noted on Corsair cooling kits, mine had bent fins right out of the box. Not enough to run it back to the store with tears in my eyes but enough for me to mention. I bent the ones I could back into shape and proceeded to the install. The directions are fairly straight forward and easy to understand. My case is a Coolermaster HAF case designed for water cooling but this thing did not want to marry to my case. They show it mounted through the fan holes through the case and into the reservoir. My mounting holes are raised in a slight cone shape so none of the supplied screws were long enough to bite into the reservoir.I mounted it using some MacGyver skills and it's running great. My temperatures are nice and low (23-27c idle on a quad core)and it runs quite silently so mission accomplished. I'll try overclocking and post anything I come up with. If you are looking for a starting point in the water cooling arena then this isn't a bad start. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-14-12 04:06 PM

Cons: block is loud, I can hear the water running through it, the fan is just ridiculous it is too loud and runs at 2000rpm even with the adapter included

Pros: keeps a stock clocked phenom ii X6 1050T at about 30C idle (with 2 gentle typhoons)
Comment:
Overall I like this cooler, it is pretty good. The fan is just horrible, you will definitely want to get 2 scythe gentle typhoons for an excellent push pull configuration. (if you are all about the noise that would be your best bet, it is what I currently have). But it seems to perform well, I love Corsair products, they're good overall.
