Lets start with the Cons. Configuring this thing is weird since there's no direct connectivity to a computer. You can't sync the clock over USB or anything. You need to set all your settings via the microsd card, and then just assume the settings are picked up and time set on the unit. As a result, I've not really bothered to set the time on mine, cause I configured my card, and then put it into the camera the next morning when I drove to work, which means the clock is likely 12 hours off.Further, I have no idea how the clock will handle having different cards with different times on them.The documentation is ho-hum, so configuration is still a bit of trial and error. You'll want to turn off all the annoying sounds, but there's no way to turn off the boot sound since the unit always plays it regardless of sound settings. And there's no configuration to turn off the LEDs, although it does at least tell you it thinks it's working.Anyways, once it's configured though, it's not bad. The quality is decent and it does everything you expect out of a dash cam. Ex: Auto rotation of files. And with a built in accelerometer, it detects sudden changes (ie: an accident) and records both 15 seconds before and 15 seconds after into a file in a separate folder with it's own file rotation (so it sticks around much longer). The only issue here is that it just cuts off the regular recording and switches to writing to the "event" folder, so if you're just watching the regular full footage, there are 30 second portions missing that you need to fill in from the "event" folder.The unit came with a nice set of accessories, including 2 sticky pads to stick it to your windshield. The cig adaptor cable is super long which means you can route it around wherever works best and keep it mostly hidden with relative ease.It does pop out of it's holster too, allowing you to easily hide the camera when parked and stick it back into the holster on the windshield when you're ready to go.I would buy again, unless something better comes out.

All in all a good buy if you would like a little bit of safety/proof while driving.. Don't buy the one with a screen it is cheap, if you want one this is a good buy.

after few cheap car camera bought off the ebay, I decided a good reliable one is really needed for my daily long driving to work , read few reviews and watched some simple video on the youtube, I narrowed down to this one and another one called blackvue, I`m buying from NCIX all the time so I pick the one they have in stock, theirs price is bit higher than amazon.com, but I don`t have to drive all the way to the boarder, and I just can not stand the long line of the waiting, using it for a week now, everything works very well, just the size is little to big for a small car.
