Not as loud as some might say. Keeps an i7 950 cool beneath hard loads, running the i7 at 3.7 and although performing F@H stays at about 50c ( higher ambient room temp right here). Hoses could be a bit longer. I was worried this factor was going to be LOUD from all the critiques here and elsewhere and I am pleasantly suprised that it isnt .

Very simply installed, and cools my i7-2600k completely. Even OC'd to four.2 my cpu temps under no circumstances get over 40C below complete load Rather massive, and had to mount it sideways in my case, but still additional than worth it for the efficiency. fans are super quiet as nicely

Unitil I can get it to match on a Socket 1155 motherboard, I truly can't comment on any "Pro" aspects of this item! Here's a copy of the e mail I sent to Corsair on the Socket 1155 compatability:"RE: CORSAIR Hydro H70 CWCH70 in Socket 1155 Motherboard. I lately bought two ƒ) CWCH70(H70) units to set up in the create of two workstations. The computers are using Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 motherboards (Socket 1155). Your web web site claims that the CWCH70 Hydro units will fit and function on Socket 1155 motherboards. Regrettably, I have learned (the challenging way) that your claimed compatibility with Socket 1155 motherboards is UNTRUE, inasmuch as the holes on the backplate and insert holes on the front retainer ring do NOT align with the existing mounting holes on the Socket 1155 motherboard! Therefore, at the present time, I am stuck with two CWCH70 units that I can\'t install in my computer systems. I am NOT pleased with this circumstance, specially due to the fact I specifically checked your web website for compatibility of these units with Socket 1155 motherboards just before purchasing them. CON Comments continued: "I would have a tendency to suspect that I am not the initial client to bring this matter to your attention. So, I would like to have the full right fitting retaining mechanisms (for two CWCH70 units) sent to me right away which will adequately install the CWCH70 unit in a Socket 1155 board. That would incorporate a adequately fitting backplate and likewise a correctly fitting front retaining ring and associated hardware (plastic inserts, and so on.).More than the course of the previous handful of years, I have bought a lot of, quite a few things of Corsair personal computer hardware and I have often been very pleased with the excellent and efficiency of these prior Corsair merchandise. However, this matter is an completely distinct story. These misrepresentations regarding compatability with Socket 1155 boards is doing good harm to Corsair's reputation. I count on to hear from you promptly. Thank you. Manufacturer Response:We are incredibly sorry you are having an challenge with fitting your H70 to an socket 1155 board. We have completely tested all 3 Hydro series coolers and they all match socket 1155. I have a amd 6-core 1100T running at 4.two GHz. With this cooler the cpu never reached above 46c I have the Rad fans running at 70%. Really sound and good item.. The fans at 100% are a tiny bit noisy but absolutely nothing you could not handle, Because if you need them that higher either you are extreme in over clocking or you have your computer system in a oven.

- Simple to install, I in fact preferred this set-up than the huge air coolers that sit on best of the CPU.- Very quiet in my opinion. - Dropped my idle temp from 35C to 25-27C- Dropped my load temp by 15 - 20 degrees C I honestly can't consider of any at this time. - Looks excellent with my Sabertooth board and CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB mem sticks.- Excellent worth added for the cost. Was taking into consideration spending a couple of hundred much more on a conventional liquid cool, but I don't feel the added temp drop would be worth the extra scratch.

This is one particular of the greatest investments you can possibly make for your construct and to extend to general life of your CPU cores! I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T O.C. to 4.1GHZ, on idle my temps are at 21c and on load it by no means past 35c! Have it set up as an exhaust rather than the recommended push pull configuration. Also note that when installing this negative boy to make sure the pump hoses are facing down for far better efficiency, I noticed it created a distinction in how well the item performs! five Stars! Metal holes on the radiator can quickly strip if your not careful, so don't screw too challenging people! Hope this baddy supports the upcoming AMD FX series CPU's!

A excellent, low cost liquid cooler. Undoubtedly greater than going Air Cooling. I've got my i7-950 OverClocked at 4.0GHz. Vcore is at 1.35v and the H70 is maintaining my temps at complete load at 74c - 76c. Idle, my temps are 40c - 43c. To be sincere, I would have preferred acquiring a better Water Cooling Kit for fifty dollars a lot more.

Going from an Cooler Master Hyper Z600R to a CORSAIR Hydro H70. I did this simply because with the Hyper Z600R installed there wasn't sufficient area to fit Ram with the larger Heat Sinks. I.E. G.Skill Ripjaws Series 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600. Keeps my AMD 1090T (stock ... for now) good and cool. No matter how hard I flog it with Prime 95, it keeps below 40C. Idle is low 30s. Looks very good. Fits totally inside my case. Installation was a bit of a discomfort. On the off-opportunity this might assist someone, please take note: When installing the circular mounting bracket, only screw it into the backplate just far sufficient that the screws will bite. If you go a lot additional, the cooling unit will not be capable to twist in. As other folks have mentioned, possessing an added hand about (preferably still attached to a different living body) does help.Hoses are a bit stiff, but still somewhat bendable. This is the noisiest item installed in my desktop, and that's with the provided resistors installed. It's not terrible, but it will stick out in a quiet space. The manual says to vent into the case. Luckily, my enclosure is constructed to take optimistic pressure (Antec LanBoy Air), so this is the optimal configuration for me. However, for other circumstances, your knowledge might vary. I've noticed tests come out each techniques.

Cools as advertised. Incredibly effective. Quiet with a single fan and an automated fan controller. Documentation is good as far as it goes. CPU to cooling block bracket is a bit awkward. Ought to have ramped locking mechanism. Look at your unique application carefully. Insure that your PS has enough headroom to energy the pump reliably. two 12v rails is a very good minimum. The unit is effectively constructed and productive. AMD 965BE OC'd at 4.21 Ghz. max temp under load 31.7C 26.5c idle with a single fan installed on the H70 radiator. (no space in compact case)

A extremely good cooling gear. Easy to set up . . providing you read the installation guide(Don't play intelligent Alec . . .)Now, my CPU in no way runs more than 30 even at one hundred% load with radiator fans at low speed. The radiator is massive: be confident you have adequate space ahead of buying. At complete speed(fans), its noisy. At low speed, its noise level is acceptable thinking of the quantity of heat it pumps out. . . Be prepared to take your motherboard out to install this child . . .

Enables significantly space for airflow and operate inside my computer system case. Price tag was reasonable. Inside two months of installing my Corsair H70, it began to leak terribly. My mobo died and I noticed what appeared to be water stains on the mobo. I'll never use a Corsair water cooling product ever again. They deeply violated my trust. Corsair tech support left me asking yourself what to do for about four weeks. They lastly sent me a new unit with no explanation as to why the 1st unit leaked so terribly.I would give a negative egg rating if possible. Why take the risk if you have pricey gear like I did? If you would like to go the water cooling route, build a simple but trusted single closed loop water cooling technique. Manufacturer Response:Leaks are extremely uncommon with our Hydro Series coolers and we replace them when they do leak. We are sorry you had a bad experience.

Keeps my i7-930 about eight-10C cooler at idle and 10-15C cooler under load. Excellent Performance, I'm really delighted with this purchase.Seriously very good thermal paste it came with , performs completely. Its a bit hefty and unwieldy at very first to install, but its a tough cooler so don't be afraid to reposition it and twist the pipes had been they need to have to be to match. This may never ever permanently replace water cooling, but its certainly a start off. This is significantly a lot more practical and less expensive for persons who just want superior cooling with out the hassle of a water block.

This an update to review dated 03ቧቧ, I have now added Scythe Fans with 110 cfm to both sides of radiator and faced airflow going out. This is the way to go. Temps are now two-three degrees cooler than with airflow coming in. I am down to 30-31c idle on my i7 950 no more cleaning heatsinks for me. Hoses should be longer I want to restate my opinion about locking the pump into location, make sure you hold outward pressure when locking it into place, this prevents the thermal paste from being disturbed and you will get a far better seal and burn in. Get it!!!

Keeps my CPU quiet without a horrible noise.Cooling functionality is fantastic for minor to moderate overclocking. Directions weren't the clearest. Can be a small hard to install even in an Obsidian 800D, which is Corsair's flagship case. You'd think it would've been easier. General, it's a wonderful spot to commence. And if you're not into overclocking for all your machine is worth, look no further than this! It's certainly quiet and cool enough. However, if you'd like to truly get the most juice out of your CPU, you'll want a full-blown liquid cooling technique.

Nice large Radiator for cooling, the pump is pretty silent. Cools effectively, Nice good quality except the fans. The stock fans are loud and push tiny air,H70 is a small pricey. Connecting the water block to the CPU can be a little difficult. I am making use of this cooler in a Silverstone RV01 Raven Case. The cooler is mounted at the top rated of the case and I am utilizing it as an exhaust configuration, intake configuration is whats encouraged by Corsair. My only exhaust is out the prime of the case so I had tiny decision but to mount it this way. With that said i am finding really fantastic temps in this configuration. Also I replaced the stock fans with two San Ace 109R1212H1011 102 CFM,Static Pressure: 64.7Pa (Ӳ.6mm H2O), these fans are extraordinary and can run them at 60 percent and cool as nicely as stock fans operating at one hundred %. Also added shrouds, due to the substantial hub of the San Ace fans to enable eradicate any dead stops across the radiator. The San Ace fans are loud also but at least i'm finding far better cooling capability and still have some cranking power for scenarios exactly where more cooling is necessary. I genuinely like the Corsair H70, just want they had superior cooling fans, this is why I removed 1 Egg.

Negative Temps not what I anticipated. Defenately go with some thing else save your income and obtain a watercooling kit. Manufacturer Response:We have by no means created claims of the Hydro Series becoming "THE Finest" but we do think that our coolers are incredibly competitive with any air cooler on the marketplace which is what we intended. Evaluations and user feedback both support this. It sounds as if you may well basically have a defective unit or a mounting problem. Went from stock intel heatsink to this and was rather impressed. Stock heatsink was overclocked to 3.2GHz with temps from 55 (idle) to 79 (load). With the H70 I have it overclocked to 4GHz with temps from 32 (idle) to 60 (load)! I was debating among this cooler and the Noctua NH-D14 and I am happy with my choice. H70 is A lot smaller/easier to fit in case. Radiator is still beefy and I had to place a single fan on the outdoors of the case with the radiator and second fan on the inside. Not adequate to drop an egg on the rating though. I'm working with the high-speed fan settings (without the fan rpm limiters) so it's a small louder, but I couldn't care much less.

Dual 120mm fans. Functions with lga 1155 socketskeeps the CPU idle temp around 40degrees celsius note: im positive it can go under that)Will be purchasing additional of this series or the h50. Its not noisy, but it is quieter than most cpu coolers. It took two individuals to install. but thats worth it if you ask me. I would enjoy to see much more corporations come out with cooler styles like these. Especially cooler master. It works flawlessly. It was tricky to get on the lga 1155 mobo, but if you get the new AsRock h61/p61/p67 mobo. They have compatible holes for lga 1155 and the old LGA 775.Also, im hunting to swap out the fans for much much more silent fans if the noise level starts to bug me. 4eggs, cuz id adore to see improvment on this point.

Clears case up for superior airflow. Simple to install! Operates greater than my air coolers beneath load. Comes with thermal compound applied. Hoses could be an inch or so longer, but I mounted my RAD outdoors of the case, it was a stretch but it worked. Following initial install I wasnt impressed, exact identical idle temps, but then I put cpu below load and that's when I noticed an 8C difference from my air coolers. For the initial time I was in a position to boot my AMD 965 @ 4.2Ghz, wasnt steady, but w/ right bios settings it may be attainable. Steady @ four. suitable now w/ 56C load temp. Paired with Asus M4N98TD EVO and a pair of 120x38 fans on the way to replace Corsair's

I genuinely like the low profile pump and the CPU attach hardware is designed effectively. Just acquire a couple of excellent PWM fans, setup your fan profiles correctly and life will be good. Good option to the massive engine block variety passive coolers out there. Probably not a excellent fit for significant over clocking but seems to perform effectively for turbo boosted applications like mine. Can be a discomfort to install for the uninitiated. I finally got the hang of it possessing installed this numerous instances on X58 and P67 main boards. The copper cold plate is OK but could be machined superior. This is my initially practical experience with a liquid CPU cooler and I am pleased with the results. I loaded up the processor(s) with prime95 and noted the following pre-break in final results:X58 / i7-950 Turbo 3.3 GHz Idle: 29C Load: 62CP67 / i7-2600k Turbo 3.8 GHz Idle: 28C Load: 60COf course benefits will differ with the good quality of the set up but in basic if you use ArtiClean and Artic Silver you really should see excellent benefits. I ditched the Corsair fans and installed Logisys SF120 Nine blade PWM fans that are extremely quiet and put out 70 CFM of air at 1500 RPM. Expensive to be positive but worth just about every penny if you want a quiet program and fantastic air flow.

For 贄, this point is probably the greatest cooling investment you can make. I replaced a 120 tuniq extreme. Installation the initially time was a discomfort (read the other reviews about BARELY screwing in the retention ring), but the second time was a breeze. This factor did not lower my idle temps, at all. But, that is not what matter, and under load is exactly where it genuinely shines. My q8400 OC'd to three.85 has not gone above 50, exactly where the tuniq had me pushing 60-61. This is also with the stock TIM given that my as-5 ran out. I'll count on a few much more degrees with a correct paste on there. The stock fans are LOUD. Do yourself a favor and order something else when you acquire this. I would surely recommend 2 in a push/pull (set up as exhaust). Not only are they loud, but they aren't the greatest fans. I've utilised Scythes that have had far better cfm and weren't 1Ǜth as noisy. Also, the rebate course of action requires MONTHS. I can't genuinely comprehend how ASUS can turn around rebates in 2 weeks, and it takes Corsair 3 months. I'm not complaining though, since it constantly comes... just requires forever.Manual is not very descriptive. (Also comes with H50 guidelines, hah). But just use your head and you can figure it out, its nothing too tricky. Its a fantastic (and affordable) introduction to watercooling for these who are hesitant about moving off air. Dont count on awesome idle temps, but your load will definitely see an improvement. Remember to obtain further 120mm fans with it, unless you want to sound like a jet engine everytime you start off up. Look for higher static stress (not CFM) due to the fact you want to seriously push the air by way of the fins. Also, save up an additional ฤ and obtain the H70. The H50 was a failed piece of junk, that is no where close to this beast. I'm shocked they nonetheless sell that thinking about how poor its overall performance is when compared to this.
