-Performs wonderful, keeps the CPU chilled-Darker colour blends into case nicely -AMD installation hardware is a joke The led fan is white, it's not overpowering but not not be what you are seeking for.

-Keeps my i7-920 temps very low, OC'ing was not a problem.-Affordable, compared to most other people in its class -Had to eliminate my mobo totally as my case does not offer easy access to the CPU backplate. No loss of eggs even though, as this isn't the HSF mfg's fault. I was possessing temp challenges, but I got this and a 120mm fan for the front of my case, I zip tied most of the cabling inside to a single side to strengthen airflow, and covered up any holes in the case that weren't being utilised for an intake/exhaust fan.The study I was able to do/find on what the "best" aftermarket HSF is led me to this a single - it's much less high priced than most anything else that gives similarly stellar final results.

Really nice cooler, is ULTRA quiet and does a good job cooling. Installation is a breeze (if you take your time and comply with instuctions). Not genuinely a con, but it's quite huge, virtually covers the 1st ram slot and if it was much taller i wouldn't be able to place door back on my p182 case Installed on my new i5 2500k and gigabyte h67a-ud3h mobo with no difficulties

It performs fine with light more than-clocking Dark knight has failed for my setup. Primarily based on the tests i performed1) it is not encouraged for heavy duty more than-clocking. Significantly larger temperatures five-10oC from Megahalem 鿢 i7 overclocked to four.00GHzƜ) The purpose for not performing adequately is the base of the cooler. it is convex and not straight and there is a massive gap involving the heatpipes and the enclosed metallic plate about it. I had to return and bought a Megahalem. I am making use of a push/pull configuration with 2 silverstone fans. Could not be much more happy.

This factor keeps my 920 i7 cpu low temperatures. It has a cool design and style also. It might be to major if you have a tiny case but it match completely in my antec 1200 case. I would pic this anyday and throw out the stock cpu cooler.

Fantastic presentation the unit appears fantastic inside and outdoors of the case. The LED on the fan supplies a nice clean appear. Easy to set up on AMD3 boards. Excellent for beginners. The orientation that I was forced to place this in due to my motherboard, had the fan facing up, didn't do much great for moving heat out of the case. I even purchased some Arctic Silver 5 and used it to no avail for the 62oC temps my overclock was hitting. I in fact returned it and got the Noctura DH- N14 which did the job of droping my temps by 6oC beneath load.

it keeps cpu cool,in the upper 30's C(eventhough i'm running XMP profile). much better than the original I7 heatsink. not effortless to set up if you're not developing a brand new system.as you need to have to get to the back of the motherboard if you have a 1366 socket.overlook about the instruction booklet.it will actually mislead you!or it's only made for people whom set up 3 of these a day!if this is your initial time, the directions enclosed will not tell you how to hang the fan,i had to search on youtube to find out that you hang the rubber on the fins,it won't even inform you which side of the fan ought to face the outdoors(and this is critical as 1 side is an exhaust).5 or six languages for just about every sentence! you'll get lost, you would'nt know at some point if they are speaking about your socket or the other 10 socket models this heat sink can fit!! i did not be concerned about the size. it fits completely fine in my NZXT. four eggs only over the "genius directions" enclosed.Windows 7 UltimateGigabyte EX58-UD3Ri7 CPU 920 @ two.67GHz(RAM)ΐ. Price to efficiency is insane. 1. The retention clip for AMD systems (specifically AM2+ in my case) gets in the way of being capable to install my Noctua 140m fan (it has 120m connectors but the ridge of the fan bumps into the clip). A clip with a reduce bend would have not gotten in the way.two. It doesn't have help to do a push/pull setup due to the fact there are no grooves on the opposite side for yet another fan. I installed this with a 95W AMD dual core running at stock two.8ghz and it's presently sitting at 24C at 50% load. Seriously, my difficult drives are operating hotter than this factor.I ought to note that I am also using Arctic Silver five applied with a razor blade across the CPU itself (super thin layer, could virtually see the brushed metal of the cpu's heatspreader by way of the AS-five layer). I have not offered the AS-five time to set so I count on temps to drop slightly right after it has.The lights on the integrated fan were a surprise, but not unwelcome. They're subtle. For ษ immediately after rebate, this factor is much more than worth the dollars. Plus it looks slick.

Cool look. 120mm fan. Took temps of my i3 530 down almost 20 degrees C through heavy gaming sessions over the stock heatsink. Quiet in comparison to stock heatsink as effectively. Fits in a HAF X with no be concerned of the side intake fan. Awkward to set up fan on heatsink. Took a bit of perform to get it placed effectively. Heatsink also smudges and shows fingerprints very easily. Need to be wiped off after touching. Newegg does not show this heatsink as becoming compatible with 1156 mobos out of the box. Truth be told, it does come with 1156 mounting hardware. Save yourself the money you'd commit getting the 1156 mounting hardware and just get this on its personal.

- Quiet Cooling- Use of mounting bracket rather of Intel push pin - Surface where the heatsink meets CPU could be a lot smoother. I will have to lap this heatsink if I want to do some serious overclocking. I would have anticipated this to already be smooth.- Following mounted, incredibly tough to move to a distinct board as the backplate is in fact adhered to the back of the motherboard. Overall, I am pleased with the Dark Knight. Installation wasn't too challenging. I in fact attached the fan's rubber grommets to the heatsink very first although out in the open, then pulled them via the fan soon after the heatsink was mounted. I identified that to be pretty straightforward. To top rated items off, I appreciate the colour!

Keeps my Q9550 about 30C idle, 45C complete load with prime95 operating for 8 hours. This is one of the greatest air cooling systems out there for this value bracket. Could be easier to set up. I would overclock my processor if it wasn't for my G31 motherboard. As soon as I get a new board I will post temps with my cpu OCed to four ghz.

~NEWEGG SHIPPING ROXORS YOUR BOXORS~But considering that this is a solution assessment ...Clean looking, color precisely matches the cpu mounting clip on my mobo. FAN IS Incredibly Good AND QUIET. Cost/cooling/noise ratio can not be beat at all - period.Whole heckuvalot cooler than stock intel HSF.Idle at 28 to 34 degrees. Below light anxiety:no OC/running prime95 2+hours/open case/ambient 1564 to 67 degrees.BUT ... 1. A incredibly little nick on 1 of the corners of inner walls next to my center heatpipe on mounting surface side. About less 1 mm deep, but nonetheless, can develop air pocket if paste not applied properly - i utilized Arc** S**ver.Surprised this a single certain HSF wasn't downgraded and passed inspection - and i have taken a pic of this divot.2. FAN MOUNTING is overly cumbersone with these rubber thingies. Faster with ZIP ties and possibly exact same effect. WILL BE Difficult to eliminate and clean and remount inside case. Hint: use two on opposite corners (the corners you can reach with it inside your case) should be sufficient.three. Anyone else have Both sets of the sticky pads currently applied to the back-plate? Tends to make me think i received an ~almost~ employed solution? Believed I had to place on the pads myself. Now, i have this paper layer on the back of my plate covering the 775 side - this result is incredibly un-clean/un-neat. (not sure if it was supposed to come this way or not) cont'd beneath 4. Cost-free internal card reader added as bonus a week following my purchase.5. How to mount a second fan for exhaust? should use zip ties?Have not place my i7 950 beneath heavy heavy load but.nonetheless at stock speed only. Will OC and we'll see how a lot of degrees that nick is worth. Most individuals would have sent this HSF back (i feel) but it ought to be the pipe speak to that genuinely matters and they were nice and flat.i prepped the HSF base very first and set two tiny dots on the cpu, set/twist/slide (very extremely tiny)My alignment is fairly substantially straight into my exhaust fan.Performance worth is oustanding. Design/Quality control a little bit much more to be preferred.

-Mounts perfectly on my Asus P6P67 Pro with Intel 2600k. Use the 1336 mounting holes and bracket.-Appears great. The dark shine with the white LEDs truly appears great.-My 2600k idles at around 27C and loads at 50C. Fan ramps up to retain it cool but remains quiet! At 4.43 Ghz the load temp goes up to 63 C right after hours of eight-threaded Prime95.-Anti-vibration fan mounts. I like quiet!-Got it for a measly ภ.50 immediately after MIR and promo code! -Doesn't assistance fans on both sides (if that's your factor).-Doesn't have the cooling energy of bigger coolers.-Integrated fan isn't silent (but it's fairly close).-Incorporated documentation didn't specify how to mount on 1156 (just adhere to the 1336 directions). Honestly, it's precisely what I required. Unless you're an intense overclocker searching to go above 4.5Ghz this is all you require. It looks excellent, it's quiet, and it keeps my 2600k cool no matter whether I overclock it or not. And all of this for only ภ.50. Absolutely extraordinary contemplating I paid โ for a Zalman cooler years ago.

Quiet, effectively-priced, and efficient. I'm constructing a 4 CPU server in a Coolermaster HAF 932, and with the Tyan S4983 board, I can't use the 1283 on all four CPU's because of AMD's forced orientation. I program to use two 1283's and two Kingwin 1264's so I can turn the prime two heatsinks/radiators to point out the prime of the ultra-nicely-ventilated case.Regrettably, the Crossbow mount doesn't aid. So it goes, lesson discovered. Honestly, they're considerably larger than I thought they'd be, even after sketching out the sizes to-scale. This isn't a negative factor, just be really aware of it. Be particular your case is substantial sufficient for these monsters. They cool well and are quiet for good reason...size. Big fans can turn slowly but crank out the CFM. A massive ole radiator in a car or truck suggests you cross Death Valley in summertime, with the A/C on, with no be concerned. The exact same goes for air-based CPU cooling. You can't cheat physics. To help in finding the rubber fan mounts seated in the fan, place a tiny bit of silicone grease on them...they'll slide by way of way additional easily.

Good Cooler for the price tag. Kept my AMD Phenom II X4 940 BE processor at the 28-35 degree location. Lowest was 24 degrees Celsius and highest was 41 degrees Celsius. I couldn't have asked for something superior. The fan is super quiet. The only explanation why I gave it 4 eggs is because the heatsink is Large. It covers my very first ram slot on my Asus M4A785-M mobo. Other than that, THIS Solution IS A DEFINITE Acquire.

Exceptional overall performance. I replaced my Zalman CNPS 9700 with this solution and saw temperature reductions on the order of 15C under load, which actually surprised me. Making use of an Enermax fan with the motherboards integrated fan manage, it's practically silent, one more large improvement over the Zalman. Really happy with this, especially at the price. The vibration mounts perform incredibly properly. Nuttin. Nada. Zip. I can't speak for the acoustics of the stock fan, as I didn't use it, but I did spin it up and it's not loud at all.Excellent item at a excellent price tag. I was genuinely shocked at how a lot greater it was than the CNPS7900. If you don't need to have or want the black chromate finish the normal item performs just as nicely for much less income.

This cooler is plated in black nickel finish which matches the theme of my sniper case. Provides proper CPU cooling running a steady temp of 36 degrees Celcius and about 40 beneath load. Uncomplicated install. Added Antec Silver five thermal compound to cpu let it set and then mounted cooler. I have noticed a lot of testimonials saying that this solution doesn't operate like they want it also. I think if you adhere to the directions on how to apply your thermal paste and mounting directions you must have no difficulty with this cooler. The white LED I believed would take away from my Black and Blue theme, but blends nicely with my case. This is my 1st create for myself and I am very pleased with the results. None actually other than it states you want to obtain adapter kit for 1366, and when I open the Dark Knight it incorporates all required accessories to mount on 1366 board. Would have saved me about ten dollars on the kit would I have known it included it. Want to update so other individuals don't spend another 10 dollars that does not need to have to be spent. No massive deal. Transform needs kit for 1366 chipset mount, so people don't invest an extra 10 dollars that they could save or purchase a thing else. Not worth taking off any eggs mainly because this item does what it says and gives appropriate cooling for my I7-950.

Easy to set up.Comes with every little thing you require.Fairly quiet.Keeps your processor cool.Appears slick.Cost was suitable. ........Can't believe of any. I'm operating a i5-2500K at 4.4GHz with out a hiccup with this issue...stays well below 60C at full load...I could possibly take it farther, but don't care to.You'll will need a screwdriver for installation. I'll inform you this...you'll never ever want to set up one more 1 of these awful Intel heatsinks once again. It's not so significantly that the Intel sink doesn't cool nicely (but it doesn't), but a lot more the "press these factors in until they pop into location, or your motherboard snaps, whichever comes first" installation. I'd -considerably- rather just use a screwdriver and a backplate, and have every little thing install nice and smoothly. You will will need access to the rear of your motherboard, though. My older Antec 3 Hundred doesn't have a CPU cutout (I guess the new ones do?), so I had to pull the complete point. Meh. I'm not even calling that a con, even though...it's expected. This point is complete of win and awesome, basically.

This either could be incredibly great cooler or a error in judgement Manufacture leave it a guessing game by not providing dimension measurments straight related to Over hang overtop of Memory Modules. Program accordingly If your memory are not tall in height then you will be fine. It would make as well a lot sense to publish height of clearance from Motherboard more than leading clearance to bottom of radiator fins. Alterative better mounting brackets that the customer has to analysis and track down then buy? Give me a break. Lastly the imperfections in the heat pipe direct touch irregularities. which turn into the imperfections not touching directly. Fill it in with Artic Silver? C'mon Give me a break! This nevertheless could either be a extremely good cooler or a mistake in judgement. Option mounting brackets that the consumer has to research to track down then acquire on prime of this cpu cooler; leaves a lot to be preferred. achievable to Only mount blowing up or down on AM-3 configuration.
