Cons: -Price-Only 1 internal spot for HDD-Mac-like interface

Pros: -Small size (2.5 HDD)-Silent-Many options-Auto firmware update
Comment:
First of all, this little unit is very nice looking. Sleek and professionnal, and most of all SMALL! Of course this unit only accepts a single internal 2.5 hard drive, hence the size of the housing. It is silent as well, always a plus these days.Physical setup was real easy, open it up, screw the drive in and close it. I used 2 identical Samsung 320GB 5400 RPM notebook drives, one inside the NAS and the other in an ESATA drive enclosure. This let me create  a RAID1 array for data security.Apparently you can access your NAS using the web for the first time you connect it, I simply accessed it using it's IP address. It's not so hard to create  the array, however in advance mode you get the option of EXT4 or XFS with no explanation of the difference between the two, so I just kept the default (XFS).The automatic firmware upgrade is fantastic, really one of the simplest things to use. There are tons of options, apparently you can stream media directly from the web interface and stuff; I just didn't care I just wanted a NAS to use my spare 2.5 drives to backup my pictures. The price is a little steep, considering for less money you have dual 3.5 NAS devices such as the DNS-320. The good news is this device is faster in terms of data transfer speeds and obviously much smaller. The web interface has its design clearly copied from Mac OS, which in my opinion is too flashy and look unprofessionnal. Others might find it easier and friendlier to navigate, but I just find it... bulky. Finally, I believe for the price paid I could have gotten at least 2 internal bays; it wouldn't hurt and would not add too much size to this product. However using the eSata port works equally well, except for the added little external box besides the NAS.
