Affordable, 800x600 resolution, 8" image show. Has some sort of internal limit on number of images that can be displayed. My family collection runs 24,000 pictures, and it can't deal with that. That quantity of images fits on much less than a 4 gig SDHC card, and as they supply eight gig and 16 gig cards, it will be very easy to want a digital frame to be able to manage huge numbers of pictures and do a sequential slide show of them. THIS One particular WON"T DO IT.There are frames out there that do not have this limitation, but nothing the vendors tell you will help you figure that out. I bought three, this HP, a C***, and one from A*******. I returned the HP as being fatally flawed, and kept the C*** unit that actually worked for my predicament. I also returned the A******* unit. Even contacted HP tech help, and they had been especially worthless on my concern.

I've applied similar devices for 2+ years as desktop movie / TVshow players from compressed files. Works great as a smaller player although I'm undertaking other issues on the huge box. Tiny footprint for a third screen. Have not utilised this specific model.

Excellent picture excellent. Quite a few display customization choices. Clunky interface and remote. 512MB internal limit. For the reviewer who complained about the size limit vs USB drives. It is clearly documented in the specs.

OK when it functions and it looks decent sufficient...it just doesn't perform as it's supposed to for quite extended. Freezes frequently, which seems to be a widespread dilemma when I searched for answers online.Remote only appears to function if your within 12" of the frame, so it's kind of useless too. Keep your receipt mainly because you will possibly have to return this.

decent image quality... if you don't require the video feature...it's a good unit... it even displayed some 20mb jpeg-images; altho those took a number of seconds to load. video mode limits... says it will play MP4 files...it won't... it WILL play AVI files, so lengthy as the image is 640x480, or Much less... audio need to be mp1, or mp3... my audio did NOT sync with video on bigger files (over 1mb)... could not locate any tech data on this... disappointing... it utilizes an AC-adapter (ONLY)...power draw is 5 watts; if energy is disconnected, you need to have to re-begin thru menu...no audio output. WARNING.... some genius at HP created the remote a giant refrigerator-magnet..!!... if you happen to location it near a tough drive...it could trash your information..!!...remote utilizes a pricey flat battery...a larger remote (NON-magnetic) that applied cheap AAA batteries, would have been Significantly better
