Plugged it in and three monitors for eyefinity appropriate off the rip. I even applied a dvi to HDMI converter correct off this adapter as my monitors have no DVI input. None so far If u don't need over 1980x1200 Res on your monitors(each monitor) this adapter gets it performed.

Straightforward - plug it in - plug in monitor - turn on - presto, I had three monitors. I keep in mind when I 1st went to Dual Monitors. Going Trio felt just the similar feeling all more than! Cost. Sorry, but even though this is a lot significantly less than the old active adapters, I still think ฮ (w ship) is a lot for an adapter. But again, it performs flawlessly. If your searching everywhere researching how to set up three monitors with out spending a mad quantity of money, look no additional; ฮ bucks is where it is for now. And, I appreciate my 2 24" LCDs with solution of dragging a film onto my 55" if needed. Newegg service extremely rapid; it's like the UPS dude is somehow waiting outside my residence ahead of I location my order and mysteriously drops the item on my door after I click the submit order button. How do they do that??

The reality that this is not a 贄+ active adapter. I was Incredibly hesitant to take the plunge and obtain some of the "expensive" adapters I had been researching. Thank goodness I located this 1 when I did. ordered it the subsequent week, just arrived yesterday(or these days), days are blurring with each other anymore. none so far, will update or report behavior if necessary. This is extra writing space as far as I'm concerend. ;)GO POWERCOLOR!!!!!! Thanks for a properly believed out/designed product, NO Added USB Ports necessary!!! Great! A++ I also have this operating subsequent to two Acer-23's on an older Gateway@ 1680x1050. It did not flinch or hesitate via ATI CCC. Came appropriate up no fuss or hassle. Please with the acquire so far. Wish it would have arrived a small quicker, but not whining (not the manufacturer's fault clearly). ;) Working with a 5870 6 head ƖxMDP), ATI shipped two MDP - DVI adapters(passive/non-signal altering), added this adapter and viola can use all the offered LCD's. Wonder if it operates with Less than the res folks are positing and with a DVI-VGA adapter? I have some older 15/'sቭ's LCD's that would be "neat" to have the further space (not for gaming obviously) res is significantly decrease on these. Anyway -- content currently. ;)

Supports resolutions up to 1600x1200 per screen in Eyefinity mode (tested with 3x 23" Acer displays with a native res of 1920x1080). I am employing HDMI+DP+DVI-D. Actually plug and play, uncomplicated to set up by means of Catalyst Control Center (CCC) and even within Windows itself. Locks into the DisplayPort to combat accidental pulls. Extremely clear signal output, no noise or visual distortions. Great price tag for the good quality. No problems whatsoever with the adapter. N/A If you use a 5770 card like I do, look at purchasing a second card for Crossfire due to Eyefinity placing a tiny added strain on the card. If you have a 6870 (essentually the power of 2x 5770) you'll enjoy it. Note: you can\'t plug in screens into the secondary card in a CF setup. This is undoubtedly nicely worth it and looks amazing when installed.

Worked excellent even though it lasted. Utilized it to put up one more monitor on a laptop (in addition to the VGA out). Failed correct soon after the RMA period ended for Newegg ྾ days). Came in a single morning and the monitor was blank. Nothing at all on my method has changed but all I could get is 800x600 and then practically nothing. Now my laptop doesn't even recognize it. Tried unique monitors and DVI cables to no avail. I don't understand how an adapter can fail when it's just sitting there on the desk... Manufacturer Response:That is definitely extremely bizarre. Either way, feel totally free to submit an RMA on our assistance web page (www.powercolor.com) and we'll be additional than happy to get you a new cable. Cost DOESN'T Operate Appropriately. I WENT OUT Built MY Computer FROM THE GROUND UP WITH THE Support AND ADVISE FROM THE GEEKS FROM A Regional Pc Retailer. Bought THE NEW ATI 5870 AND 3 24" SAMSUNG MONITORS. Utilised THIS CORD AND NOOOOOOOO GO!!! IT DID Work WITH EYE FINITY BUT CHANGED MY 3 SCREEN RESOLUTION TO BE A LOW WIERD RESOLUTION. I GET JITTERED FLICKERING SCREENS Occasionally. I DON'T Understand HOW THIS CAN BE ACTIVE Show CORD WHEN THERE IS NO USB CABLE COMING OUT OF IT TO CONNECT TO THE BACK FOR ADDED Necessary Energy. Manufacturer Response:If this cable wasn't active then you would not have gotten three displays to show something. That suitable there tells you it's active. Also, the ones that have supplemental USB power help dual-link, which signifies resolutions above 1920x1200. This cable isn't advertised as becoming dual-link, it's advertised as single-link which is why the supplemental USB energy isn't necessary. I can help you get your Eyefinity setup. This cable will absolutely function for you. Please e-mail me and I'll aid you out. hugo@powercolor.com, thank.-Hugo

theoretically this issue performs! I have been trying to get eyefinity to perform for weeks now. I purchased an ATI card especially so I could use three monitors, and a HDMI to DVI cable so I'd have 3 outputs. then I found the third *had* to use displayport. which of course none of my monitors use. so I already spent 15 bucks on a now useless DVI->HDMI cable. so I stated screw it, and bought a displayport to HDMI converter. but that didn't function, due to the fact apparently there are 'passive' converters, and then 'active' converters. so I purchased this unit. and found that "single link" DVI is a standard none of my monitors use either, my monitor cables won't even plug into it. so now I either have to purchase a single link DVI cable, or return this and get an active displayport to VGA cable, then convert that to DVI. ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff I've spent 50 bucks on nothing, my third monitor nevertheless doesn't operate, and I want to strangle all parties involved. which includes myself for apparently becoming so dumb. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Manufacturer Response:All the data is listed on the product's description. There is practically nothing incorrect with the cable. It does every thing advertised and it does a excellent job of it. If you have any inquiries or concerns really feel cost-free to e-mail me (hugo@powercolor.com) and I'll assist you out. Thanks.-Hugo

I am not positive what those who say it doesn't work with Eyefinity are speaking about. Possibly they relieved terrible cables. The box has ATI logos all more than it. Worked perfectly the 1st time and I am operating 3 24" ASUS 1080p monitors. All are hooked by means of DVI cables, with the 3rd working with this adapter. Nothing of note.

Great solution, good for eyefinity. Using 2 of these adapters - both hooked up to 5770's (I have 2 5770s in my recent computer system). Feel truly high quality and generate a wonderful image... Seriously actually affordable for an active DisplayPort -> DVI. Had to restart the personal computer for 1 of the two monitors to get the appropriate resolution for it (maybe due to the fact I plugged the adapter in prior to there was a monitor attached?) but not a large deal. Just some thing to feel about if your getting difficulties. Had some flickering on the identical monitor for the initial minute or two but its gone now. Operates perfectly. If your pondering of acquiring it to get your 3rd monitor do it. Definatly worth the price tag if your trying to make a decision if you ought to get a different or not. I am very pro-multi monitor; I use eight and even though individuals feel I'm slightly insane they are particularly helpful. You wouldn't believe you'd use them but I use every single one while working (mind you I'm a software engineer).

Inexpensive, operates* with eyefinity. I have 3 monitors setup. *Does not function well. The display attached to it will flicker off and on each and every when in awhile. It happens regularly sufficient that it is annoying. I would not use the adapter for your major monitor. I believe the flicker is the outcome of dips in energy output from the display port. This appears to be a reoccurring issue with these non-powered adapters from my study on the internet. This is the cause I feel powered adapters are the norm. It does function effectively adequate for a 2nd or 3rd monitor offered the value.

Does give a image for eyefinity The picture flickers. The flicker gets real undesirable at occasions and is super annoying This adapter ended up costing me a lot of dollars, time, and annoyance. I attempted to fix the flicker by altering the PSU to a high finish one. This did nothing at all to repair it. I ended up just getting a DP to VGA adapter. It isn't digital but atleast it performs. Total funds wasted ๠ in adapters, ๛ PSU. Possibly my worst on the net purchase ever. Manufacturer Response:I guess it's completely doable that you received a defective product. This adapter was the first and only 1 I could come across that worked well and devoid of fuss. Not positive why some can't get the it to operate, but my install went flawlessly. Build top quality seems a bit low-cost, but it is sturdy enough and aesthetics don't matter considerably when it is behind your rig.

> Quickly shipping> Plug and play> Worked immediately I just got it, but I will update this overview if I encounter any issues. I had a crash course on DVI standards, lately, since I upgraded to 3 displays ƒ DVI monitors and 1 HDTV). This adapter worked like a charm, and now all three of my displays are running simultaneously. For an individual wanting to do the same, please make confident to verify your DVI cable, and Google the DVI standards so that you know if you have a Single-Link, Dual-Link, or some other DVI typical. If you have the incorrect standard, this product will not connect to your cable. This item is for Single-Link, which I occurred to have for one of my monitors.I'm quite satisfied with this product. Low cost Doesn't function very well I'm working with this with a Sapphire HD5570 and a Dell ST2210 񢈀x1080 native res). When I boot up the personal computer, the monitor is detected by Windows as “Display device on: Mobile Pc Display” and Aero is disabled; I have to re-detect the display and then run Aero troubleshooting to get Aero working. And, additional importantly, the monitor maxes out at 1280x1024. I've tried unplugging my other monitors (which screws up my Windows boot - all screens are blank when the only monitor is through this adapter), I've tried installing new monitor drivers, I've tried installing new video drivers, and absolutely nothing worked. I emailed Hugo, the Powercolor rep who responded to somebody else's challenge, and he was responsive and helpful at initially, but at some point told me "Well sometimes a monitor’s EDID timings don’t matchup to a video card or the an adapter getting utilized... You might be forced to try a different type of active adapter :( regrettably that often occurs." Manufacturer Response:You could have a defective adapter. E-mail me and I'll support you get a replacement if you haven't already performed so. Thanks. hugo@powercolor.com-Hugo

Functions good for adapting a single monitor with a DVI port to use the display port on my radeon card. None If you want to run eyefinity with three or more monitors, the requirement is that 1 plugs into the display port connector on the card. You need to have an 'active' converter which is what this is to use the displayport and eyefinity. Very advised.

I have been struggling with active adaptors and the screen flashing issue for almost a year. I was about to sell off the setup when I gave this small adaptor a try. I was astonished it in fact works perfectly. I wasted 赨+ dollars on the dell and accell junk ahead of this. It didn't come out sooner. Don't be afraid, it works as advertised. Running at 5760 x 1080 on 3 24" monitors.
