I was skeptical at first, having tried many other cheaper brands for dual layer discs, and wound up regretting it every time. I was forced to use the very expensive Verbatim brand, and they were great - except that you pay a premium for them. I decided to try the Phillips out on a whim, and boy am I glad I did. They perform as well as the Verbatim, at half the price. Great deal, and great value.

Works great, and no useless ''coaster'' discs yet! A great value for 50 of these! :)

I bought this 50 swindle pack and have yet been able to burn a single DVD successfully. I've used similar products from Dynex, Memorex, Sony as well as other manufacturers and have never had any problems. This is the last time I buy something because it is on sale on Tigerdirect.

Terrible performance on both my iMac internal drive and my LG external drive. At least a 33% failure rate. Even on the discs that appeared to have recorded completely, I've had problems with playback, raising the failure rate to more like 50%. Stick with Memorex 8x DL. Although a bit more expensive, they all work. The Philips discs are akin to torching your money.

These are brand new discs on a brand new Lite on burner that has a 95% success rate on 4.7 Gig discs and about a 30% success rate with these 8.5 Gig Phillips disappointments.

Had only one out of 50 that didn't burn using a fairly new Toshiba DVD burner at 6x speeds. Excellent results and price.

These discs perform well and are priced great. The large logo on the front is a bit annoying when labeling the discs with a marker, but it is only a minor issue.

It is a waste of time to burn these DVDs with my LG durner. I got more than 10 caster, and I just gave up burn any more Philips' discs.

Have had two packs of these discs without a single failure. My only complaint is some genius at Philip's decided to cover nearly the whole surface of labeling side of the disc with text. Their name takes a third on the upper half and DVD R covers the whole bottom half, which leaves just a thin area for titling. If you can get past this drawback, they're unmatched in quality.

I know that some discs don't work in specific burners but I have four burners in total and these discs didn't work in any of them. I used between 4 and 7 discs per burner with different settings and not a single one worked. I bought two stacks of 50. My only hope is that they work in my brother's computer or else i've just bought 100 coasters.

I've used every brand available these top them all. 1000's used without a problem. The top of these DVDs have very little space available for labeling with Pen or thermal imaging.

I video tape my kids weekly sporting events and combine them into 1 DL video at the end of each season for each child on the team. I've used this product for 3 straight years to burn about 500 disks. I can't remember having a bad disk. Great product.

I've used these disks in both 8 and 4 Gig with fewer coasters than other name brands at higher $$$. Works 99.99% and I really think that the other .01 is computer glich.

20 plus burns in and no coasters. Very reliable discs and a great price. I think A majority of the problems people have reported with these disc are due to old burners and outdated firmware. My oldest PC with a DL layer burner can't read these, however my other 2 PC's and Laptop read and write to these problem free.

I wanted a dual layer light scribeable DVD but didn't find any with good reviews. These have worked for me without a single failure. I just write on them with my permanent marker, low tech but it works.

Absolute garbage. I've burned coaster after coaster after coaster with two spindles of these discs. Caveat emptor -- do not buy Philips discs!
