J'ai acheté 5 disques comme celui-ci pour utilisation avec entre autre un boitier Synology DS213J. Après les avoir vérifier à 100% avec l'application Data Life Diagnostic (écriture de zéros sur toute la surface + test SMART version Longue) aucun défaut n'a été détecté sur aucun de ces disques. Le prix à 100$ en solde est très bien mais trop rare. Je suis confiant sur la durabilité de ces disques puisque j'en possède plusieurs de ce modèle en version 2TB depuis deux ans. |

I bought 2 of these from NCIX about 6 months ago.I had been using WD Green: these are slow! I don't have numbers to back this, but I feel these Toshiba's are faster.Dependable: I have 1 running 24/7. I haven't had a problem with either of my Toshiba's.Lower price: on sale at NCIX, I got these cheaper than any WD's.Five stars as the sale from NCIX was good as always.I'm going to buy more this year - hopefully they will have 4TB Toshiba's like these 3TB's. |

Pros: Works, who knows about 2year+ reliablity. For a 7200rpm drive temps are cooler than the Seagate ones I Have. Comment:
Runs cooler than other 7200rpm Seagate drives I have. It works out of box, didn't have any sector errors. Performance is good. Main concern is reliability but I won't know til a few years from now (WD >> SG in that department). |

Even while other drives are on discount, this one's always the most worth it. Even thought it's old, you can run data files (pictures, music, videos...etc.) just fine (of course). Most games work well, especially if you're using a USB 3.0 dock or motherboard. Speaking of speed, USB 3.0 and eSATA go up to 5 and 6GB/s, respectively, so you're kind of wasting speed, but no matter. I suggest using a SSD for your OS and programs that you use frequently, and this for everything else. |

Cons: At first: Not a well known brand, but then I found out that Toshiba brought the Hitachi Factory from WD/Hitachi.
Pros: Fast, Inexpensive, power efficient (for 7200 rpm), and so far reliable. Comment:
Bought four of these for a raid 5 array during boxing day 2013. They have been reliable working as my backup and file server for the last 5 months. My research reveal that Toshiba 3.5inch HDD department are actually acquired from (WD/Hitachi). Hitachi drive have been very reliable for me in the past, so I hope Toshiba will be a good 3rd brand of HD. |

I ordered this drive to provide some extra storage. I am quite please with it as it is faster than my WD green. It also has 64MB of cache not the 32MB as stated on the Ncix. It also runs cool and it’s quiet. I was able to get it on sale which made my purchase even better. This drive I received was also made in China and not Thailand. |
So far so good 4 months in. I use them as secondary storage drives. I think these are Hitachi hard drives which is good since they are kind of known to be reliable.
