Cons: could be faster for a usb3

Pros: Usb 3Good pricesmall
Comment:
Not a bad usb key for the price. It could have been faster but it's hard to complain about the slow speed at this price. Use this one for pure storage purpose and not time senstive copy.

Cons: Slow for USB 3.0

Pros: lots of space, cheap
Comment:
I got it free with a hard drive I ordered so for being free it works, but I wouldnt buy another. Its very slow compared to all my other various usb sticks and hard drives. you would never think its a USB 3.0

Cons: Slow

Pros: SmallBlackNo Flashing LEDHas Removable Cap
Comment:
I like this one because it's pure black and has no flashing LED which makes it perfect for plugging it into the car stereo. No distractions. However like others said, for this being a USB 3.0 drive it's actually SLOWER than my other Kodak branded USB 2.0 drive in every test I did. Not sure why, but for a Kingston product this is unsatisfactory! Especially when transferring data to it! Otherwise if you don't care about speed, so far it's good enough, especially when on sale.

Cons: Write speeds vary from 5 to 36MB

Pros: Cheap, fairly robust, good read speeds
Comment:
I bought 4 or these over the holidays for my wife's car stereo. In testing on HD Tune they averaged 80MB read speeds. In Crystal mark they averaged 57 to 69MB reads 2pass/50MB setting. In writes I got 5, 6, 30, and 36MB speeds. They will work fine for music in her car. One looking to do lots of writes on these might want to look at a faster more consistent flash drive

Cons: Write Speed

Pros: Inexpensive, Good read speed, USB 3.0
Comment:
Got 2 on sale at 7$ ea. For the people that complain about the overall performance let me say that. It's cheap, it's fast, it's USB 3.0, it's better than any other USB 2.0 out here. Got 80mb/s read and 5-6mb/s write speed. Lowest write speed is 2mb. That's is good guys. Great performance on USB 2.0!While not the best for the speed. It's a decent performance at this price range.

Cons: speed

Pros: the cap clicks on the back.usb 3.0
Comment:
got this on sale during the boxing day sale. having the cap being able to click on to the back is great. I've lost so many usb cap in the past. The speed for a USB 3.0 doesn't seem that great. Getting about 23-25mb/s. Not sure if it just this drive or not. But still faster than my USB 2.0 sticks. And for the price when it was on sale makes it a great buy

Cons: Poor example of USB3.0 benefits.

Pros: Cheap. Got it for $8 on sale.
Comment:
Atto benches were poor up to around 16KB cluster size. Performance maxed out at 512KB (not 512 byte) at 39.2MB/s read and 19.5MB/s write. This is not impressive. What is impressive is the price. The Kingston 8GB USB2.0 drives you see on sale for $3-$5 are much slower yet and half the capacity.

All in all, a good buy to see the speed of USB 3.0. Noticed transfer speed is faster than USB 2.0.

Cons: Slow writing makes them not useful for my purposes.

Pros: The units are quite cheap so the cost of trying was not too high

I was hoping for something I could keep a VM image on and 16GB USB stick sounded perfect. I have used some USB 2.0 ones for this but they are a bit slow. I was hoping that with USB 3.0 speeds it would be satisfactory.Quick benchmark, the VM directory is 8.5GB.8.5GB file took 30+ minutes to copy, cost $10.99My SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card did it in 2+ minutes, cost $45Guess you get what you pay for. As a USB 3.0 memory stick I would not purchase it again.

Cons: Abysmal write speedI prefer flash drives with an integrated non removable cap

Pros: Cheap. Good Size. Great sequential read with USB3.
Comment:
Read speed is awesome in USB3 (near 80 MS/s) but it has an atrocious write speed of 5-6 MS/s. Not mush else to say.

Pros: -USB 3.0-large capacity-cheap-can attach to keyring
Comment:
No real problems over here. Speeds are generally what I expected from USB 3. Feels a little bit fragile but I don't mind, as long as you aren't sitting on that dang thing with a book then I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. All in all if you need a capable USB 3.0 on the cheap, consider picking up one of these if you can find a sale.

Cons: Not the fastest USB3 stick, feels a bit light/cheap

Pros: USB3, Cheap
Comment:
A 16GB USB3 stick for $13... Can't really go wrong even though the write speeds are quite a bit slower than some more expensive USB3 sticks. Still beats USB2 by a wide margin and is handy for transferring and installing large files.

Cons: Suffers a very significant drop  in write speed after 13 to 15 seconds of write operation; down to write speed of approximately 7 to 8 MB/sec.Suffers intermittent data and volume corruption. The unit would dismount or disconnect itself from the system.

Pros: Budget priced USB 3.0 flash drive.
Comment:
The 16GB Kingston Datatraveler 111 I used achieved no where near realistic USB 3.0 speeds. In fact, the write speed was below that of even USB 2.0 speeds. After about 13-15 seconds of write operations, the speed would drop  to between 7 to 8 MB/sec.While searching for possible solutions on the web, I did find a few reviews that indicated other people were having this same issue. The Datatraveler 111 I had also suffered from other problems: random data corruption (filenames turned to gibberish), volume information corruption (drive show up as unformatted) and random disconnection from the system during intensive file operations.Details:I tested the Datatraveler 111 with a fresh Windows 7 Ultimate installation on a Core i7 3930k, 32GB RAM, Asus P9X79 motherboard using the latest 3102 BIOS update.I made sure that all device drivers for the P9X79 and the Silverstone SST-EC01-P USB 3.0 expansion card were up to date. The Datatraveler was tested on the P9X79's rear USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, and on the Silverstone SST-EC01-P USB 3.0 expansion card connected to the computer case's front USB ports. The Datatraveler's USB Device Properties Policy was set to "Better Performance" under Windows 7 and was formatted as NTFS with 4096 and 1024 Offsets. The Datatraveler was properly removed from the system under Windows when unplugged from the USB ports.Read/Write Speeds:Plugged into the P9X79's rear USB 3.0 port:Read: Tested total 14786.639MB in 0:04:27 with 55.189MB/sWrite: Tested total 6353.256MB in 0:14:55 with 7.098MB/sPlugged into Silverstone SST-EC01-P USB 3.0 expansion card:Read: Tested total 14786.639MB in 0:07:49 with 31.521MB/sWrite: Tested total 14786.639MB in 0:35:13 with 6.999MB/s
