Cons: Cringe-worthy humor, bad pacing, action is sporadic compared to the puzzles, mediocre graphics

Pros: Some funny one-liners, decent shooter mechanics, some nice mini-games, nice variety of locations
Comment:
This is a pretty average FPS by all means. You can see some mishmash of old and new stuff from the graphics and the cultural references. The devs injected some Borderland-esque mechanics into the game, notably the recharging "shield" and the running mechanism. There are some nice weapons, although the 2-weapon limit (the time I was still playing) somewhat limited experimenting with them. The thing I dislike the most is that you probably spent more time solving puzzles than bashing aliens. Often times I find myself filled with adrenaline from the shooter action only to be bogged down by a tedious puzzle. Rinse and repeat. No story at all and none of the cliche-spouting, adoring-fan-like NPCs are likeable or memorable or entertaining. Humor is pretty much hit-and-miss. Some segments were quite interesting, I had fun at times, but overall it's a very average FPS at best.

Cons: Graphics quality are pretty stale

Pros: Good to play with mates and funny scenes

Bought this for myself and my brother for the sale price and mostly for nostalgia sake. Why it took them so long to release this thing is a mystery to me but if you played the first game, then it might like a trip to the old days. Mine installed through Steam, which means all you need is the CD key.

Cons: sub-par graphics but acceptable

Pros: It's definitely Duke fun gameplay so far
Comment:
Fun game so far. If you enjoyed Duke3d, and you like modern games, you will enjoy this game. So far I don't understand the disappointed reviews.

Cons: -Console-ized a bit

Pros: +Its duke+Classic guns

This does not quite feel like playing a new duke game. It is still a fun game for the most part. Seems like the over-tried some times other times it feels very linear and console like(In Duke3D, there was many ways to complete a level not just one).Overall I still like it cause.......Its Duke!!!!!

Cons: - inappropriate for young'ins

Pros: - many types of great gameplay - fun weapons (freeze ray, shrink ray) - lots of interactive things (pinball, slots, pool table, etc) - huge, fun to kill bosses - walls / pillars take damage
Comment:
I think DNF is great. I don't understand why it's been getting such poor reviews. Crysis was boring and repetitive compared to DNF, and yet it nearly got a perfect score on Gamespot, whereas DNF got 3.5. There were a few minor things I didn't like, but I've enjoyed this game more than any other I've tried in the past 2 years.
