I just bought something like this except its the DVI converter thats got the "cross?" where on this converter theres a "vertical line?".... They are two different converters I think, one a DVI-I to VGA and this is a "DVI-D to VGA"... this is more a question then a review... Do i get this product? from my understanding (thanks to wikipedia) DVI-D cannot be changed into VGA... And my other DVI-I converter obviously dose not fit the DVI-I I need. If I get this will it convert DVI-D to VGA? because my video card wasnt supported with a DVI-D converter, just a DVI-I. Srry if this is a lil confusing thx lol... And yeh if this works it gets a 5/5 automatically but because how much you pay for it and how it does not look at all "spoofed" or worth the money you put into it ime guna rate it a 4/5. |

While it gets the job done, most vido cards already supply one of these which I did not know untill after I purchased this. It is however handy to have an extra one lying around but it feels and looks cheaper than others I have seen. Save the 18 dollars if you are buying a new video card unless you need and extra one. |

They actually hand out those when you buy a video card. I don't notice any difference in quality using this or using the vga connector straight from the video card. |

Cons: if you have your computer tower pushed against the wall, this is going to force the whole system forward and inch or so

Its very handy if you have a VGA monitor and a DVI video card. I have not had any problems with performance or reliability. Overall, a good little adaptor. |

This thing isn't only great for dual monitor setups. it's also useful for converting CRT connections to digital.This thing is very small. you can mount it anywhere on your computer with just tape. I bought a couple of these so that I could use dual 17in CRT monitors on a couple of systems of mine that had video cards that had dual heads (ATI 9600xt and NVIDIA 5600, both with a VGA and DVI port but did not come with a connector of this type). This thing does its job very well and I've been very happy with it. Installation was easy and the screws are such that they are very easy to apply torque to which made fastening and unfastening easy with a minimal amount of effort. My only complaint is the price as I think twenty bucks is too much for something that does such a simple task as this item does, but I guess you just have to pay what you have to. If you want a dual CRT monitor set up and your card didn't come with one of these, then short of installing a second video card to use a second VGA port, get this adaptor. Recommended. |

There isn't much to say about this item as it's just an adapter for your DVI-out on your video card so you can you a regular 15-pin analog monitor. Great for the card with DVI and VGA plugs when you want to do dual VGA setup. |
Wow at the purchase of my 5750 i was terrified because didnt found my DVI adapter to plug my Trinitron CRT on my new videocard... Finally found it on the videocard box. I was jumping around. Upgraded from 4670 that has DVI out to 5750.
