I bought this for $29.99 and it works, i have my computer upstairs in my room and my router is on the opposite side of the house downstairs and i get typically 4-5 bars out of 5.

Preface: I'm running Windows 7 Pro with this card and connecting to a G router (a netgear router, which neither of our Macs or our dell running Ubuntu have a problem connecting to).There is only one driver release for this (1.0) circa 2010. The original release that came with the driver disk. There haven't been any updates or patches. I find that hard to believe based on my experience with wireless cards. According to forum posts on this card Dlink isn't very interested in supporting this card.The card will get into a state at least once per day where my connectivity slows to a standstill or completely fails despite a good signal being reported. I often can't even ping my router. The only solution is to use the Windows diagnosis to restart the card or restart the computer.I'll be returning this to the store I purchased it from and buying something different.NOTE: Like the previous reviewer, I didn't have an order ID (didn't have time to wait on an order from NCIX) so 3 was the min I could give. I'd give this a 0 if possible.

I regret buying this one.. Very slow connection speed. Sometimes it runs acceptable, but most often its incredibly slow. Painfully downloaded a steam game at 12KB/s. After googling the problem it turns out this is a widespread issue with the device. I'll try something new once I return this one.1 Star, but ncix wont let me. No order number

Not much to say but this is definitely more reliable and higher performing then a belkin pci wireless card i bought a while ago.
