I picked up this monitor for a co-worker in the office to replace his Samsung 22". His laptop had an HDMI connector as well as VGA and the problem was no matter how tight the VGA connector was plugged in to the laptop, the monitor would always flicker, particularly on dark colored backgrounds.So rather than get something else that had a VGA connector, we started hunting for one that had HDMI. This is a great monitor for under $200. The picture quality is awesome, blacks are deep. COD4 looks great at 1920x1080.The only down side, and this is so minor, it's not really an issue, are the audio quality coming from the speakers. Do yourself a favor and get a proper set of headphones. The left side of the monitor bezel has a connector where you can plug in headphones only (no mic). |

Great monitor with great quality, loving the 1080P. I switched from a CRT 120HZ monitor to this and its incredible! As well speaking for gamers i don't even feel the difference, the only difference i feel is much much better image quality with nice crisp detail. Gaming is just incredible and this is coming from a guy who just switched from crt. I bought full coverage on this monitor but i ended up with 1 stuck pixel, its not a big deal to me right now since its at the very bottom and you can barely even tell its there. Let alone i still have a 1 year warranty on this so if any thing does go wrong im safe. Im also using a DVI - HDMI cable and its great monitor picks it up as HDMI and computer picks it up as DVI, drivers work well and the monitor gives the best HD quality. 4 outa 5 stars for me. I bought this monitor at the end on November for a build which was delivered around christmass time.I tested it for about 3hrs was mainly using kvm to setup new computer. Delivered the computer and couldn't get the monitor to link, figured it was something to do with the settings for my 28" monitor. Finally got it to link and the cust used it 2-3 times over the next month and it died, no power.Sent it in for warrenty work and it took almost 2 months to get it back. Never heard anything after repetedly phoning the 3rd party repair center, finally ended up emailing Benq a nice email with all the info, next day I received a call from the repair center.After getting it back I took it to my cust and set it up. Was used for another month, 2-3 times as he's a trucker and isn't home very often and died again. Talked to Benq and this time it only took about 3 weeks to get it back and was asked to send it to a different repair center, both times was the power board. I bought a diferent minitor for my cust which was dropped of when I picked it up for the second time. I've been using it for about 3 weeks with no issues yet. I'm just glad there is a decent warrenty on this monitor. I will not buy another Benq for a customer due to this hassle.Unless I get years of use with no issues, this might have been an odd case, not sure. |

This monitor is pure awsome, its works perfectly and all my games look very good now and being able to watch HD movies properly is very nice.Only problem I had wiht it is my nvidia drivers trying to treat it as a HD TV instead of a monitor.Simply disabling the "resize my HDTV" option in the nvidia control panel fixes this right up though.I'd suggets this monitor to anyone. |

My 1st LCD widescreen HD monitor, and it is a breeze to change between my VGA connected PC and HDMI connected PS3. Just a one button press. 1080p for PS3 is very nice for those who are looking for a budget priced HD experience, can't go wrong here.Got it when it had $15 instant rebate and combined with points used for free ground shipping only less than $250CDN total to have it shipped to me, including 'Express Coverage' for 0 dead pixel guarantee, which had not happened to me yet, but is a good deal for just in case and peace of mind. Having great resolution and response time for a near 22inch lcd for around 200 (after pricematch)is more than a good reason to buy this. I brought this for my sister while getting parts for my new computer. I got both LG w2242tq and this one, although i kept the LG due to the size, the colour on this one is better. This is my sister's first lcd monitor and shes loving it. The only downfall to it is that the height of the monitor seems very compressed compared to the length of the monitor. Other than that.. looks REALLY GOOD. |

This is a great monitor, I've had this monitor sometime now and I'm loving it, PS3 full 1080p looks amazing on it, and playing Call of Duty 4 for PC 1920x1080 everything maxed out looks amazing, this monitor looks great and preforms well. It's very cheap too, which is great. Another amazing thing is that they have an audio out jack so that if you had HD audio coming in and didn't want to play it on the monitors sort of bad speakers you could hook up some speakers to that and get great audio. Cons: Flimsy crappy stand (though upgradable), speakers if you would use them (I don't know why you would), aren't that great.
Pros: Excellent vibrant colours, bright, stylish, 1080p. Some people say there is blur in video games but I don't see it. Great price. Comment:

I've not had the best of luck with Benq in the past, but not enough to write them off completely. This unit was reasonably priced, and provided a nice resolution boost over my samsung 205bw.The colours are a bit nicer, but I don't spend too long calibrating my monitors as all I ever use is one of the presets.Dislike the whole environmental fee with encorp. There was a much better company that did much more than they'll ever do, all for free.I must note, I like the power button. It's easy to press from over arms length away. This is in contrast to some monitors where you end up moving or turning the monitor slightly every time you try and push the button. |

I bought this monitor mainly to play my Xbox360 on, and it has been a treat for my eyes. The fact that it has a HDTV resolution (1080p) is very nice for gaming purposes, added with the HDMI input for Xbox360 or PS3. Fiddle around with the settings to get the colour that suits you - it has a very expansive settings menu to adjust it to exactly what you want. |
Absolutely gorgeous monitor! I have it hooked up to my PC via DVI and my Xbox 360 via HDMI. You can easily switch outputs with a button on the side so it can serve multiple purposes. The low response time ensures you'll never miss a beat in your games and the high contrast ratio and full 1080p HD resolution will make your movies look stunning as well. The speakers in the monitor naturally aren't the greatest but are good in a pinch like when you have something on the HDMI port or no other speakers to use with it. Also a very low price for such an outstanding monitor.
