Cons: -Ugly Y-Cable-PCB and connector feels flimsy

Pros: -Aluminum case feels really sturdy
Comment:
First external HDD enclosure and it has exceeded my expectations. The aluminum case is really sturdy and it's mildly warm when touched. Overall, it was a great purchase for $10, which puts it in the same price category as many of the USB 2.0 enclosures.

Cons: None. This product gives me exactly what I want.

Pros: Gave renewed life to my old laptop drive
Comment:
Found this drive with a $15 IR and couldn't be more pleased. It is worth the normal price of $35 as the case and external connections are solid and the data transfer is excellent. Installing the laptop drive was straightforward without needing any special tools. Nice device. My only problem is my other portable drives from a few years ago are full of my data and they transfer much slower than this one.The total transfer rate is a bit slower than my recently purchased WD Passport Essential 500 GB USB 3.0/2.0 drive, but much faster than the old USB 2.0 components.

Cons: Big globs of hot glue on the PCBTough to get a drive out

Pros: Works as expectedVery tight SATA and power connectorPowered on LEDExtra USB for extra power for spinning drivesWorks with SSD's
Comment:
This case works as expected. It has amazing build quality on the outside, far better than I expected for the price. The internal quality seems a little lacking though. There were big globs of hot glue all over the PCB and I fear pulling the entire SATA connector off when rying to remove a drive. I'm currently using this wtih a Solid 3 120 GB SSD and I get almost rated speeds. It's just slightly slower then if I plugged it into a SATA 6 GB/s port. The one small issue which is no fault of the enclosure is that the SSD would not show up in OCZ's Firmware update  tool, I had to plug the drive in to a SATA port.Great buy, and full USB 2.0 backwards compatability.

Cons: Dual cable is ugly

Pros: Great deal, performs as described
Comment:
This enclosure performs adequately. Transfer speeds are sufficient on USB 2 (don't have a USB 3 to try it with). The only bad thing is the cable...it comes with a USB2 port in red that just dangles. Apparently some drives require more power than the one port can provide, so they provide the extra cable to give you the juice you might need, but the drive I'm using doesn't need that, so it just sits there and looks ugly. I wish they had provided a second cable with only one connector, but it's hard to complain for $14.
