Cons: overheating with resulting dropouts (but is easily fixed).

Pros: excellent signal strength (4 of 5 bars consistently over 40' and two standard interior walls); no speed degradation when downloading through a router (my ISP consistently claimed I would get slower speeds using a router, let alone a wireless router. Total B.S. on their part).
Comment:
I was suffering with low download speeds on my hispeed dsl connection. I had to run a 40ft telephone line to get from the wall jack to my computer. At times, the speed was around 5mb on a 7mb line which is totally fine.Lately though that speed was consistently around 2.5 to 3.0mb. Being with Bell, they said "no issues at their end", it's my problem not theirs.OK, I figured the phone line 40ft extention that I was forced to use was to blame. I decided to get this wireless router to replace the long extention cord.Easy-peasy to set up (as advertised). I was up and running in under 5 minutes. Then I started getting no signal issues. I went online and found out that quite often dropped connections when using wireless routers was due to the unit overheating.I don't have a router "stand" so I just propped it up on top of the modem. That allowed 1/2" of space underneath one side of the router where the vents are.Problem solved. No disconnects now for 3 weeks solid and my download speeds are consistently at around 6mb.I would have given this a 5 except for the overheating issue. Which is very easily solved, just a PITA.
