Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling FanAh, the much maligned Intel CPU cooler. Used on literally millions of PCs for almost a decade. Is Intel deliberately using a device that will cause their CPUs to fail within the warranty period (up to three years)? Or ruin their reputation with businesses, consumers, and the PC industry? By a device that is not their core product? Think about it. It is fashionable with some PC enthusiasts to state how terrible they are, which then identifies them as a smart and savvy PC user, more so than even Intel! That some of them are unable to mount one of these coolers without difficulty therefore puzzles me. I have yet to see one of these coolers fall off a motherboard or mess up oneone. If a program (game) is using 75% or more of your CPUs capability for long periods of time and then overheats, you need a better CPU or video card. Why is the software never a problem, why only the hardware? In reality these coolers are industry workhorses.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling FanI purchased the thing as a temporary fix. For the price it does what it should. That being it keeps my CPU temps down so I can use my PC. I am not a fan of the pushpin method and I certainly do not feel it is ever secure, though it is secure enough to do the job. Performance wise well Like I said it does what it is suppose to do. You really can't go wrong for temporary solutions or for the price. I would recommend it but do not I repeat do not use it as a permanent solution. Basically don't be cheap to cut corners.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling FanIt does not fit the LGA 775 Socket with a Intel Pentium 4 Processor 530-3.0 GHz. The plastic screws are just a nightmare.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling FanIMO, Intel does have good products and the heatsink copper core is nice but they must've skimped on the fans because they do get noisy, very noisy. I have one that lasted maybe a year if that and I replaced it. These are proprietary design and don't interchange with other fans and sinks. So when the fan goes, the sink goes too. Won'y buy another even for $10 bucks. It's no wonder they're giving them away so cheap.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling FanThis is the same stock fan that comes with the 2.6ghz cpu and motherboard combination -- its a stock fan - a ripoff for the $20 I paid for it. It would have cost more to return it for credit. I learned a lesson.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling Fan Fan works great. Intel knows how to build a fan to cool there processors. This is the same fan that comes with the boxed processors. Spend the extra money on the faster processor if you have to spend more. Other wise theirs not much of a difference at all. The newer processors run cooler anyway. Intel would not distribute a fan with there product if it was not sufficient.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling Fan This is just a warning for those of you actually thinking about purchasing this product. If your going to buy a processor for $100 or more, why would you even consider trying to cool it with a $10 fan? Be smart, you can get one for $20 more that will keep your processor 5x cooler under loads and not to mention, the cooler your processor runs the longer it will last. Save yourself from having to buy another processor in months due to overheating and get a some-what decent cooler.

Intel Original Socket 775 Cooling Fan 5 Pack I have a Core 2 DUO. The OEM cooling fan is attached to the MB with screws. This flimsy assembly did not mate properly with the CPU, leaving a gap between the heat sink and the CPU. Product description is wrong to state that it fits all Socket 775 CPUs.

Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Cooling Fan While I do no experience the volume issues that many others have, this stock heatsink does not perform anywhere near above mediocre levels. There are 15 dollar heat sink - fan combos that do the job 3 times as well and if you are using anything with more than one core, it's more than worth the investment, as you'll be saving yourself the cost of replacing a very expensive component in the future. There are accounts of this heatsink fusing to the CPU. Not worth the risk.
