I quickly set this up next to my "standard" monitor and the difference was immediate.. the "Whites" were not white, they were more of an brownish "off white which I only realized next to this monitor.If you are going to but 22-23" monitors definitely spend the extra $40-$50 for these (Make sure you pricematch) Watching movies (BluRay ex : Avatar) is great, haven't noticed any slow response / blur in anything (games, movies..etc) Colours are vibrant. Overall Very happy. |

Pros: This monitor will provide you with one of the most incredible pictures you have ever seen. Better than any regular LCD, better than any TF panel, better than any LCD or plasma television. The IPS technology in this monitor will completely blow you away.Picture controls and menu are intuitive and easy to use.Stand is quite dynamic - good height and tilt range.The viewing angle on this monitor is ~ 178 degrees, with little loss of brightness. I would recommend ANYONE who watches video or plays games and is looking for a large monitor buy this one. It's well worth the money, IF you take advantage of NCIX's price match options to get it down to $360 or $370.THE BEST QUALITY PICTURE YOU WILL EVER SEE. |

I'm surprised there haven't been many reviews for this monitor. It is great for its price, a IPS panel from NEC. No real complaints about the coating, LP2475W is by far the worst I've seen. There is no pink and green tinting on my display. The speakers can take in displayport audio which is nice as I am using my 5850 and the latest drivers allow displayport audio. This monitor gets only slightly warm after being on for hours, there are ventilation holes everywhere around the sides of the bezel. The cable management at the rear of the monitor is great, it's easy to hide cables behind the plastic cover on the stand. Without calibration I can say it looks great. One of the best purchases at |

The monitor itself is very well made. It made of stron plastic. The monitor even has a handle to move it around if you need to. At first i thought the cable managment system as completly useless but when I installed the monitor i kindda like it. You can put all the cables neetly behind the monitor's arm. the rotating base is a nice feature and the adjusting arm definatly comes in handy in my case. The usb port are located behind the monitor(2) and on it's left side(2). They are not easily accessible. My previous monitor had those ports on it's base. They were very easy to access. But then again on the EA231WMI the base is rotating, not a good place to put something. NEC probably positionned them the best they could. now on to the monitor itself. mine doesn't have any dead pixel. It looks very nice, image are clear. But to enjoy the image quality you absolutly need to turn off auto brightness and eco-mode. These are the 2 most annoying features I've ever seen. Once those 2 features are off the monitor is amazing. The speakers are also concelled behind the monitor. Unfortunatly the headphonejack also is located behind. I would have prefered to have it in front. |
This is a beautiful monitor. It's subtle understated black high quality plastic. Overall the stand is well balanced. The rotation mechanism is solid.The image reproduction is good and it's big enough to have two pdfs open at he same time in ~125% zoom.I'm not crazy about the integrated headphone jack. It is subject to a good deal of interference/static feedback.Over all buy this monitor because you won't regret it.
