Cons: loud blower fan, weak tessellation performance VS nvidia's offering

Pros: Full copper heatsinks, Full sized exhaust slot, picked it up for $422 and only paid 5% tax, made with nice components, over-clocks easily, looks good.

My 4870x2 gave up and was out of warranty so I needed a new card. Read a lot of reviews on this product and every1 seemed to think it was the best 5870, I agree. I'm currently overclocked to 950Mhz core, 1235Mhz mem. While building a computer I had a bad experience with an XFX 5870, Im glad I used Asus for myself. Buy this over any 5870 on the market. No questions.

Cons: price...MIR :(The graphics card can't play Oblivion at Ultra settings for some reason, even with updated 10.5 drivers. I keep getting black screen. It also surprisingly lags when doing the DOW II benchmark test when there's a group of 30 or so units firing AOE spells. I don't know if this is the game's fault, or the drivers, but definitely not impressed with that. I don't know how this would affect Starcraft II games since those are EASILY 30+ unit battlesI even tried different resolutions, going from 1920 down to a measly 1024, and the stutter/random lag problems still occur! There's also no free game (like dIRT 2) attached to it like some of the other 5870's, unless you have a DX11 game already, you won't know the benefit.

Pros: The package it came in is QUALITY! The card also looks great compared to the other ones, and runs pretty cool compared to other competition 5870's under use. It was also very easy to set up and 0 hiccups. The tweak program is a bit of a pain but you should definitely OC this card.
Comment:
The accesories that come with the graphics card are the bare mininum. They should describe  why some are supplied (like the extra power connectors? most PSU's that people use for a 5870 already supply the bare mininum to power it.

Cons: Under load the fan can be noisy using the Asus fan controller.

Pros: Low Temperatures, less power needed, Great overclocker, Good cable management, Demolishes every current game in 1920*1080, DX11
Comment:
When you open the box it just oozes with class, the presentation is just one of the best I've seen for a video card.It comes already included with the Asus fan controller and the voltage tweak software's in the box which support Windows 7 64 bit. With the software provided it can easily overclock and reach 1.0 ghz Engine Clock. The card is shorter than the reference 5870's and it's shorter than Gtx 280 for example. The cables plug in on the side instead of the top of the video card which helps the cable management of the case and gives you a better cleaner finish. The temperatures under stock settings while in desktop reach around 30C+ and while gaming it reaches around 60C+ If you turn on the Smart-doctor which is a software provided by Asus it reaches 50C+ but with the sacrifice of the noise. The ambient temperature of the room was 23C.If you are concerned about noise then don't worry this card is almost silent while it's using the automatic fan controller under stock settings. The minimum FPS on this card doesn't fluctuate that much as other competing brands and it helps while gaming in games like Battle Field Bad Company 2.Overall I'm very happy with this card as it runs all of the games I've thrown at it with Ultra high settings. Highly Recommended for anyone that simply wants the best in terms of price/performance in a video card.

Comment:
This card is a beast! Very pleased overall, however for the price I'm shocked the assessories list was so vacant- no included game; not even a cd case or mouse mat as is typical with Asus products at this price point.
