Cons: pricey

Pros: easy to install, easy to use
Comment:
This fits in any 5.25 inch bay. The installation is easy and works pretty well. I highly recommend this for those who need to swap HDDs quickly. It is expensive though.

Cons: Careful with your sata power cable, it does not hold the best.

Pros: Handy to have. Better quality than I expected from the picture.
Comment:
These are nice to have for the occasional computer tech, not high end by any means, but does the job. I dont recommend swapping constantly, as this is still a cheap device and not a hot swap bay for server storage.

Cons: scratches door cover, awkward taking out hdd

Pros: looks sleek, includes esata port on the front
Comment:
works with my seagate 7200.12 drives and wd 1.5tb ears. although, when inserting the hd, overtime, scratches on the door cover can be seen. and removing the hd is kinda awkward, u need to push the button and pull the hd out. its not difficult, but would be nice if it had a better ejection system. overall, works pretty well, and looks nice with my antec 902 case.

Cons: Hard drive sticks "out" when it is plugged in

Pros: Easy to install and use, and it comes with an extra esata port
Comment:
Got this for $15, and what a steal it was. It's great for those that does not have a built-in hotswap bay for their cases. Very easy to install and use.The plug-in drive may become a bit hot because it does not have a built-in fan to cool the hard drive, and the hard drive will stick out a little bit when it is plugged in, so for those that have a door in the front of the case, well, that may be problem.

Cons: no LED

Pros: eSATASATAnot USB
Comment:
First this thing brought eSATA to the front of PC. Real useful for not using USB external hard drives but it uses 2 SATA connectors. One go to the eSATA and the other for internal slot. The "EJECT" button is in fact not an eject but just a release and hard drive stick out by 1 cm. Good matte look

Cons: none to list

Pros: esata port comes i handy for other external drives, the color matches most gaming cases (black lol) solid unit.
Comment:
I've used a few removable bays and this one has been the best so far, I haven't owned it for that long but its handy when your running more than 1 OS and don't want external drives lying around.

Cons: No status led?

Pros: Antec quality
Comment:
Perfect to do a quick backup or when working on a client computer. Real useful for plugging hard drives on the fly. More discrete than desk cradle who take space. I totaly forget it's there thanks a black matte finish. Fit well in my Antec Nine hundred. SATA1, SATA2 & eSATA supported. Does not seems to slow down hard drives transfers. Shold've take a couple of thoses but there was a limit of 1 per client. Quality plastic. Was real cheap at 15$

Cons: none

Pros: Easy & convenient SATA2 plug and play
Comment:
Bought this for the convenient of swapping drives for data storage and switching my OS (using a SATA2 switch now. Even at full price, the convenience factor still pays off. I now use it to load my movies and plug it into my multi-media setup

Cons: Eject Button needs to be held when pulling the hard drive out. Hard Drive sticks out a little bit so it might not be ideal for those with cases with front covers

Pros: Easy to install. Easy to use.
Comment:
Good Hot Swap Drive Adapter. Just becareful that your motherboard chipset allows for hot swap removal. Some chipsets don't allow the "safely remove" option when plugging in the drive. Also, the eject button needs to be held when pulling out the drive. Nice additional esata port bonus.

Cons: drives tend to get hot

Pros: Innovative productWell builteSata port
Comment:
Very useful and well built device from Antec. I think every computer should be fitted with one of these for swapping in and out hard drives. Cooling may be needed as drives can get hot.

Cons: You have to press a button to eject or unlock the drive from the caddy and it doesn't want to come out sometime.

Pros: Solid construction unlike my Startech caddy. And the esata connection at the front is a plus.
Comment:
A nice thing too have if you need to swap out different hard drives or to change your OS. Once I install the second one I'll find out if it has the same problem with the eject button or not.

Cons: - Doesn't come with any additional cables, but shouldn't be a problem for most people.

Pros: - Easy to install- Comes with eSATA port
Comment:
Works perfectly! I have it installed in an Antec P182 case. The hard drive, when installed in the bay, sticks out slightly, but the case door can still be closed without any issues.

Cons: no built in 2.5" adapter.

Pros: nice fit and a great addition to my setup.
Comment:
I now use this along with a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter to allow me quick and easy access to either size drive. The additional esata port is also a nice extra.

Cons: None really as far as I'm concerned.

Pros: Easy installation, works great. Simple. Good price(daily deal)
Comment:
I have a Mountain mods case, so its not really easy to install and remove HD's. Sometimes I just want to Format a drive. Or transfer some information etc. And I hate having to take off a side panel, or whatever to mount a drive for a simple task. This does the trick. :-)

Cons: no cooling

Pros: makes any sata drive into a removable disk
Comment:
Using this for backups on my Windows Home Server. I plug my 2TB green drive into this, run the backups, then remove the drive and take it off-site for protection. Great price when on sale.

Cons: Would be nice if the design supported 2.5" hd as well

Pros: Fits perfectly in my HAF 932, and the matte finish complements the case nicely.
Comment:
Got this on sale for cheap, looks great in my HAF 932 case. Matte finish blends it well with the casing. Additional eSata port is also a nice plus (even though my case already has one).

Cons: Can only be use on one pc

Pros: Only about 20$ 2 connection at once.
Comment:
Got this on sale so I install in my antec case. It was a perfect match. So far no complain, just plug in the whole HDD and it's ready to go. Or if you have something like docking station you can use the esata function as well. Perfect and so I got myself another one.

Cons: Included/attached SATA cable seems to be only for the e-SATA connector (SATA cable for the drive is not included). 7200rpm drives get very hot - should include a cooling fan.

Pros: Works very well.
Comment:
Works exactly for what it was designed for. I use it for external backups. The drives I use would get very hot after a couple hour backup so I attached a quiet 120mm fan underneath with zip ties and now everything is working very well. If you leave a drive in there full time without additional cooling, make sure you set the power save feature on your drives to shut-off when not being used.

Cons: Drive is not inserted all the way

Pros: eSATA port and easy installation
Comment:
The external eSATA port is great! However, the build quality could be better -- the Kingwin and Startech hot-swap bays for the same price are built better and also have a lock for the drive. Note that with the Antec, the drive sticks out and does not get inserted all the way... this can be problem if your case has a door and you wish to close it.

Cons: not everyone like to manipulate bare harddrive

Pros: cheep and fast
Comment:
If you trying to figure how it works exactly it is like a docking station into your PC. Just like BlacX have been making for some time. You just push the whole drive "naked" into the slot and in about 10 sec it will pop up into windows. ( Warning you need a MB that support Hot plug! )

Cons: - Hotswap does not work on all computers

Pros: - Easy to install- Inexpensive
Comment:
This is an excellent product if you need an inexpensive solution to hotswap SATA drives. It's also useful if you have a smaller case and fill your free internal slots.

Cons: built in sata connectorwhole drive doesn't fit inDoesn't come with another sata connector

Pros: solid build
Comment:
This really wasn't what I was expecting. I was looking for something I could stick the whole drive in and take it out if I was messing with my other HDDs. So really I should have done more research, oh well. So take note with a HDD plugged into this it will stick out an inch or two, which means I can't close the door on my case. The whole thing is very well built, the only grip I had was the fixed stat connector. It's likely just a cord that goes from the front to the mobo to cut cost, but the ability to replace the esata cable mght be useful down the road. Not much to say about it. It's real purpose is really just if you want to stick a drive in there to do some quick work on.

Cons: No proper eject buttonBSOD on my P35 mobo using AHCI

Pros: Works for the most partAffordableeSATA port included
Comment:
This is a nice looking unit with an eSATA port on the outside. Build quality is solid. Drive snaps into the SATA connectors easily. To get the drive out you have to pull it out manually. For some reason on my Gigabyte P35-DS3R, if I try to hotswap a drive using this unit in XP it gives me an instant BSOD. This happens whether I connect the unit to the Intel or JMicron controller. The only way to prevent this from happening is to put it into regular IDE mode instead of AHCI.I tried the unit a P5Q Pro (ICH10R) with AHCI enabled (Windows 7 x64) and it hotswaps fine.
