Bought to ressurect old hard drive for my daughter ,has all her old photos, sadly I think the hard drive has other problems. Great case comes aprt easy and useful |

I got this and another enclosure priced a little higher. i'm running a WD 500G hardrive. works great. fast and relaible. for the pricei could not ask for more. I strongly reccomend |

Every thing came as promised, installation was simple (screwdriver included for assembly). Only problem was the box says up to 500gb HDD, but WILL support higher (I have a WD 1TB in it, hooked to my DVR also). |

Purchased to work with Pace TDC776D PVR from Shaw. Installed a 1TB Segate drive and installed unit on the TDC776D. Worked first time and is still working. It was one of the few units I could find that was ESata only, not USB combo. Bought two, would buy again. WW |

good value. did what i need it to do. more recommend this if your not gonna keep the backup on all the time. it gets hot after a while. easy intuitive build. |

This Hard Drive Enclosure is very cheaply built. I don't blame this retailer, but I should have read the reviews more carefully. The hard drive has no securing method. It just slides in the enclosure. Then you have to attach the two connectors. When the end cover was installed the cables pushed against the Sata connector and cracked it. I returned it for a refund and this retailer paid for the return shipment. |

I put a 1TB drive in and am using it with a HR21 direct-tv receiver. As others said, it *has* an eSATA cable with it, so don't buy one like I did. The fit and putting the drive in was a bit tight but overall wasn't much of an issue. Its working great with my DVR. |

I have 4 of these enclosures. The small stand for keeping them upright is useless, but the overall quality is good. Make sure to FIRMLY plug the 120 volt power cable in to the power supply, otherwise it will fall out easily. If done right, it will not come unplugged easily. |

Includes 3' eSATA cable, by itself worth half the price (if bought separately). Tiger ad says it holds any SATA drive. Product box says only up to 500 GB. I installed a 1TB Hitachi. So, Tiger is right. Instructions are useless. They mention a driver CD that isn't needed (or included). Assembles easy. Works fine. Just wish someone had told me the importance of ''Remove Hardware Safely'' (to avoid hot plug-n-play system crashes). |

I ordered 4 of these units. The ''instructions'' are lacking, the booklet mentions an installation CD that does not exist, one of the plastic pieces you install onto your disk was chipped and jammed inside the enclosure, and the electronics on the power supply failed after 1 minute of use. I returned all items. |

The enclosure worked perfect. Be aware the SATA cable comes with it. I made the mistake of ordering one because i couldn't see where it said it was included. |
the clips holding the end cap on broke when trying to take the unit apart. other than that, it functions.
