Cons: It says its DD-WRT compatible but the only version I can find that works is a paid activation. I'm not using this for commerical purposes, and I didn't expect to have to purchase dd-wrt ontop of this. I'm will use the stock firmware unless I have reason to desire otherwise. This unit has virtually no extras on the outside, just LAN power and reset and 3 LED's, POWER, LAN and WLAN
Pros: Simple setup, I connected it to my swich and went to the IP assigned by default and reconfigured it. it works, it has a very strong signal, I can literally go out 100 meters with this thing and still get a excellent signal. its smaller then it looks from the picture. runs cool, even with increased transmit power it doesn't get warm. I'm looking for forward to seeing how it performs as a universal repeater, just for fun I'm going to go install it in the barn for a day and drive my truck to other end of my 50 acre farm to see how my notebook does. This device is a marvell of capabilities and has such a strong signal you could provide wireless access for the whole neighborhood. it supports WPA2 Enterprise so better secure it. The Orange color doesn't exactly fit in with anything I own, but hey, its a performance networking product, it stands out anyhow. |

I am using this device in wireless bridge mode on a factory floor. Works really well and setup was easy! This is the first EnGenius product that I have used and I am really impressed with it. I am going to use this same product in the our other plants. |

This is a solid performer as are the rest of this manufactures products. Very dependable signal and link quality right out of the box. Easy setup options for the novice user. Firmware upgrades and ongoing support are paramount with this company. All things considered if you are looking for a simple to use dependable no hassle product just buy it as you will save time and money over initially more inexpensively priced products. |
I have 3 of these units at work. We didn't buy it from NCIX though. I deployed 2 units and it's enough to cover 4 floors. Yes, no kidding! Goes through concrete floors with no problems.
