Cons:
Fan stays at 40% until temperatures hit unreasonable levels
Pros: Quiet, fast, length is as long as a standard ATX motherboard |
Great card. It installed without issue for me and plays my games wonderfully. It's also a fast folder (For those interested in FuH).It's quiet because the fan idles at 40%. Unfortunately, the fan also stays at 40% until temperatures go higher than 80c; from which point the fan speed ramps up exponentially.You will want a well ventilated case to ensure that doesn't happen. (Or you could control the fan speed manually.)P.S. Mine is an 8 memory chip model. No free GTX470 for me.
