Looks good Didn't install extremely easily, the metal wings were a little as well stiff to latch to my AM2+ slot without coaxing

Uncomplicated Install.Keeps Temps Low.Low-cost.Looks cool. I can hear it... but it's white noise in the background. Why would you invest โ+ on a cpu cooler when this is out there? Set up was a breeze, the thing appears nice in my machine (blue LED's to contrast the fan). And I've never ever EVER appear my temps go above 34C-- even under the highest load that i can throw at it.Create:Rosewill TU-155 CaseAMD 64 X2 two.6GHz dual core (oc'd to three.2GHz)BIOSTAR TForce TF8200 moboEVGA 9500GTDVD......yada yada...

The HSF was reasonably affordable, low profile There is a higher-pitched wining noise coming from the cpu fan! its shrill. The base looks as if it took all the fins, compresses them, and employed a bench grinder to smooth the surface.as for the cooling capability, it's obtaining a difficult time keeping a c2d e6300 beneath 70 degrees when overcloked to two.four GHz, with only a voltage of 1.25V! Not that impressive Maybe (?) my fan is defective, but I think it is just a characteristic of this model. there are other similarly priced models that I would acquire if I could do it more than.

Surprisingly QuietAttractive Design (IMO)Good HTPC Type FactorLow Expensefour pin Challenging Mounting This fan is a excellent replacement for a stock cooler but is not intended for overclocking. In my loved ones Pc it Keeps a AMD 5400+ pretty cool with moderate overclocked speeds and Plenty of ventilation. This fan requirements space to breathe and demands a supporting cast (good airflow, case fans). The mounting mechanism for AMD is tricky to use, I felt like I was going to snap the motherboard in two, be careful with the mount. If you're not pushing your processor also hard and are seeking for a low cost replacement to your stock cooler, this might be the fan for you.

This cooler is fairly properly-designed and pushes a decent amount of air, all when becoming somewhat quiet and low-cost. I state "niche" in my title mainly because this cooler appears to be one you would get for certain circumstances, such as if you had the requirement for a shorter CPU cooler to match a certain case. It's also inexpensive for its style style and is thus great for an option resolution to a lot more classic coolers. Performance is not remarkable, but it is surely superior to stock cooling and need to be fantastic adequate for moderate overclocking. This is surely not the easiest cooler to install, at least for the AM2 socket, but pretty much all coolers have their nuances. I mention it as a con mainly because it may well not be excellent for the novice builder in that regard. As soon as installed, it fairly significantly does its job with flying colors.

fits snugly, but fits on my mATX board just fine. idle temps greater than expected, about 39 degrees C. doesn't appear any much more productive than a stock cooler. I require to do additional tests, but i wasn't too impressed with the idle temps. checked in bios.

Low-cost Fins effortlessly bent, small CPU surface region, inadequate fan Fairly much what other folks have pointed out concerning low fan output, effortlessly bent fins, and smaller CPU get in touch with location. I'll put this on a single core processor, I certainly would not trust it on my 103W AMD Opteron. Almost certainly fine for single cores and low power dual cores.

Does its jobGood seeking, not an eye soar.Much better than my stock heatsink, where I would idle about 25-28ºC beneath load would go a tiny over 40ºC(I like cooling!!) Fan died about three weeks of really moderate use. It is in my gaming rig, but operate has taken most of my time, so I haven't exactly put it beneath any stress. Luckily I still had the 92mm fan from my old XIGMATEK HDT Heatsink. Don't ask why I switched from this from an HDT (It's a long and stupid story, most of the stupid portion is me, performing stupid factors)I will write yet another post, to see how their customer service is.

Excellent bang for the buck. This heatsink cooler installed fast, and runs like a charm. Keeps temps down, and continual. no cons (it's a tiny substantial.) Advisable, that you go out and acquire one particular now, from newegg, the pride of Whittier, CA.

Great coolingStraightforward to mountGreater than the stock coolerExcellent value vs. performance Big enought that it would protect against me from utilizing all four mem slots.Fan at 100% is nevertheless a little intrusive Utilised for a Core i3 HTPC with ASRock H55M Pro MATX. No overclock. Running typical prime95 test CPU. Working with SpeedFan to report temps. CPU temp tops out at 37C. Core temps best out at 28C. Setting the fan to 75% renders it silent in the case.

Nothing at all very good to say about this cooler. Lack of installation and compatibilty guides. Cheap design and flimsy. Attempted to install devoid of accomplishment and just threw away simply because it was much more problems to send back!! 12 DOLLARS is even also considerably for this item. Do not bother with this coolerfor any program.

Fairly low-cost. effortless to set up on LGA775. Keeps my slightly ྪish %) oc'ed E5200 beneath 55C with max load (Prime95 max heat test). extremely quiet, computer sits in desk so quite little of it is heard anyways. the quiet really hard drive tends to make far more noise. Collects dust genuinely negative and hard to clean, but that's far more my fault. Need to get a filter for the cpu vent in case. extremely great item for the income, but wouldn't get it for a high finish rig that'll generate a lot of heat.

Appears neat, quiet, Glows below UV, and operates great. I have my AMD 64 3700 San Diego OC'd running at two.47 GHZ, and it sits at 27 Idle, and by no means noticed it above 35. Runs cooler than the stock Heatsink with no OC. None Will be receiving one more for my AM2 Chip.

Athlon XII 240, keeps it cool, quite good. Appears wicked and doesn't get also loud. Was searching for a fan that would match in a case that didn't have substantially height; fit like a glove.Grabbed this one since I bought the Athlon as OEM. Had to apply what I believed was an abnormal quantity of stress to snap this on to my AMD frame, was worried I was going to snap anything. In the end, the heatsink has been doing it's job swimmingly.

Incredibly really, keeps my AMD X2 5400 cooler than the stock, good to look at too. Man, was it tough to install! I believed we had been previous the spring brackets that you have to push with all your could in order to get it to latch! Certainly older model, with good adaptation for intel CPUs but only simple latch for AMD. And the latch was on the quick side, so it expected some tough work. I was worried about the CPU breaking at some point.
