Cons: -Requires 2 usb ports near one another

Pros: -Small and lightweight-Meshed-Low price
Comment:
I installed an SSD in my laptop and bought this to use my old internal HDD as an external one. Works as intended and easily. Good for storage and backups, not very good for ultra performance.

Cons: Mesh design

Pros: CheapNo additional cable for power management
Comment:
Purchased this for an external hard drive, and does what you expected it to do. Price matched and got it for $5.56. Can't go wrong and supports up to a 2.5 640GB hard drive.

Cons: Weak outer case

Pros: Easy to use
Comment:
Easy to use, INEXPENSIVE hard drive case. Does exactly what you paid for it to do....hold a hard drive.Don't expect something here that's going to last forever though. The case itself, while sturdy enough to hold the drive, is still only made from perforated THIN metal. Good buy for short term use.

Cons: Installation of the drive needs special attention

Pros: CompactMesh provides good amount of airflow when placed ontop of a computer will top exhaust.
Comment:
The screws that came with this is EXTREMELY small. luckily, it comes with 2 extra's.I had an extra hard drive lying around, and i decided to use it as portable storage. pretty much free after MIR.

Cons: Flimsy construction

Pros: Price w/RebateLooks good
Comment:
At $2 after taxes and rebate figured why not and tossed it into the Boxing Day order. NCIX shipped this unit 2 days after the rebate postmark date expired, but a quick ticket and they assured me it would still go through or they'll resolve it; here's hoping =).Works as advertised, and currently have an old 120GB driver in it. No eSATA or USB3.0 so a bit slow at 20-25MB/s but what do you expect for a twoonie? At the sale and rebate price I'd highly recommend this for a cheap 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 enclosure.

Cons: Drive is open to dust and spills

Pros: Cost next to nothingEasy to installGood ventilation
Comment:
I price matched this down to $9.50ish, and then there was a 10 dollar MIR. If the rebate works, I'll have pretty much only paid for shipping on this thing!Anyway, I slapped in an old 120gb hdd from my girlfriends laptop that I had lying around, and it works fine. It was a cheap and easy way to turn what was otherwise a pretty useless harddrive that was just lying around into a functional external drive.

Cons: none

Pros: Looks good, cheap
Comment:
Small, cheap, looks good, standard micro USB connection, can't go wrong with this drive. The tiny screws were a bit hard to put in, other than that, took 5 minutes and I had a nice portable drive to use.

Cons: No eSATA, but if you need it, there are other models that come with it.

Pros: Works great, and CHEAP too!
Comment:
This enclosure is one of the cheapest and best ways to make a nice, cheap, portable back-up drive. What a difference in size between a 2.5" drive enclosure, and a 3.5" enclosure. I recommend 3.5" enclosures and drives for expanding PVR's, but 2.5" enclosures are much better for portability.

Cons: - Not as strong as some other mesh enclosures- noticeable flex in mesh

Pros: - price- ease of installation- keeps hard drive cool
Comment:
Not as good as the Enermax mesh hard drive enclosures but it does the job. Kept my 640 GB drive cool but the build quality is average at best.

Cons: not bulletproof, but at the price its great.

Pros: Well ventilated. Great price. Single that it comes with powers it, but has second usb if needed.
Comment:
Used my old PS3 80GB harddrive in this. Works great. Simple to assemble and I used swissknife to format it in FAT32 to us with my PS3. Great price, and the metal mesh is well ventilated. Highly reccomend it. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-01-10 05:31 PM

Cons: - Super small screws to deal with- Feels a tad flimsy

Pros: - Mesh provides good airflow- Really slim design
Comment:
All in all a great drive which is very slim and well ventilated. I like the mesh look too. Even for retail price I think the drive is a good buy and much better than the nGear one I had before.

works great as an enclosure to make a NB internal hard drive as external; would be better if they make the case a tad stronger

Cons: Honeycomb mesh enclosure not safe from water spillage (This maybe a weakness depend on end user usage)Some system may require 2 USB slot to power the device, it comes with a "Y" USB connector.

Pros: Two minutes from inserting HDD'n 4 screws the enclosure close to USB plug'n play working. It detects partitioned drives.

I bought this to replace my nGear 2.5 Enclosure that failed to work on Vista x64. This is working fine if connected to rear USB ports of my motherboard.
