I had a similar LCD monitor, the X213W. I was happy with the purchase and satisfied with the performance. The X223W seems to have a few things better than the X213W such as better black colors and better buttons. Overall, I am happy to have X223W as my second monitor. I paid for the expresscoverage for zero dead pixel policy. I have no dead pixels and thats a plus. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a decent 16:10 dual monitor. |

I bought this about a year ago in anticipation of buying a new computer this year. It did work fine on my 10 year old Del rig(retired now). Now that I've built my new rig I'm very happy with this monitor,it has good resolution, windows found updated drivers right away and price is great . Yes I would have liked a better one, but for my needs it works just fine. I'm not into games, but when my grand kids use it, the games I've installed for them look pretty darn good. highly recomended and yes I'd buy again! |

Cons: cheaper would be cool.
Pros: good clear monitor, fairly bright, NOT 16:9!!!! which means its normal and doesn't look like a fat mess sat on it like all the 16:9 do. Comment:
over all 100% happy, I'm glad I bought this before 16:10 is destroyed. after 16:10's gone we will enter a dark age of screen technology. lower rez's and smaller screens. |
I originally wanted a glossy panel (and still do), but they were pretty expensive back in 2007 and was still inexperienced in hardware. This monitor turned out to be pretty "standard" for an LCD.The X233W is still going strong for 3 years and 3 months :). There was only one time where the controls would be really mess up (e.g. press the right arrow a certain number of times would exit the menu, etc.), but that was after reaching the third year.
